A Randallstown, MD woman won a $2 million prize from a scratch-off purchased at the Giant Food Store in Owings Mills, with the retailer receiving a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Full story below courtesy MD Lottery:
“A Baltimore County woman has been playing the Maryland Lottery for years and occasionally wins small prizes. She just won her biggest prize to date, taking home a lottery prize that many can only dream of – a $2 million MONOPOLY X200 top prize.
The Randallstown woman made a stop at the Giant Food Store at 10210 Mill Run Circle in Owings Mills. She initially bought a few $50 scratch-offs, scratching off a $50 winner. After that, she purchased the $30 MONOPOLY X200 ticket.
Thankfully, the lucky lady checked her ticket very carefully because she nearly tossed in the trash. She was initially confused by the “take to Lottery” message after scanning her ticket. She then checked it again and that’s when she was pleasantly surprised to learn that she had won $2 million.
No major plans have been made for this once-in-a-lifetime prize. She says she plans to save it, and may possibly consider retiring soon from her job as a secretary.
Giant will receive a $2,000 bonus as the retailer that sold a top prize-winning scratch-off worth $2 million.”
A whimsical fable about the triumphs and defeats of the heart.
