A Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Michigan came up just short of the grand prize, but still hit for $3 million, according to lottery officials.
The ticket was purchased at JJ Land LLC, located at 4421 West Centre Avenue in Portage. It matched the five white balls (01-08-11-12-57) with a 3X multiplier in Friday night’s drawing to win $3 million.
The lucky winner should call the Lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to claim the prize. Mega Millions prizes must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.
“The Mega Millions jackpot run brought excitement to Michiganders everywhere, especially the lucky player who won $3 million in Friday night’s drawing,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “In all, players in Michigan won nearly $14 million in prizes during the jackpot run.”
A player in Georgia was the lone winner of the $980 million jackpot.
