The Oakdale Police Department will be making a stop at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center next month to educate area senior citizens on how to avoid scams.
Department representatives will be talking about some key factors to watch out for, common scams that are happening, and what to do if someone feels like they have been scammed.
The holidays are approaching and unfortunately, that is “scam season” so organizers said they want as many seniors to be a part of this as possible.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, 450 E. A St., Oakdale.
Senior citizens from throughout the area that would like to attend are asked to call the center at 209-845-3566 to reserve their spot.
