Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is reminding parents, guardians, and motorists to prioritize safety ahead of this year’s Halloween.
With increased pedestrian traffic, excited trick-or-treaters, and seasonal celebrations, ALEA’s goal is to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and happy Halloween.
“We are committed to protecting Alabama families year-round, but especially on nights like Halloween, when excitement can sometimes overshadow caution,” ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor said. “By planning ahead, staying alert and using safety tools, we can ensure a safe and memorable evening for everyone.”
For Parents and Trick-or-Treaters:
ALEA also encourages families to use the Alabama Sex Offender Registry, a public safety resource that allows users to search for registered sex offenders by name, address, or geographic area, before heading out for the night.
Parents can use this tool to make informed decisions about trick-or-treating routes and neighborhood safety.
CNAW2News wishes you all a very Happy Halloween!
