COLUMBIA, S.C. (WKRC) – A lottery player in South Carolina says a clerk’s mistake won her $500,000 — and she couldn’t be happier about the mix-up.
A store employee at a Piggly Wiggly accidentally gave her the wrong $10 scratch-off ticket. She had pointed to a different one.
“I just kept it,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “It was a blessing that has changed my life.”
The odds of winning $500,000 in the Feeling Lucky? game are 1 in 1.5 million.
