The Rotary Club of Chatham’s weekly radio bingo games are broadcast from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays on 99.3 FM The River. Books cost $8 each, with seven games on six cards. A new in-person Hands of Hope Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is being held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at Tidal Church (formerly Miramichi Wesleyan Church) on Nelson Street. Everyone is welcome.

The Rotary Club of Miramichi is holding its 12th annual Purse Auction on Friday at Tyra’s Infinity Centre (1 Marina Dr.). Doors open at 6 p.m., with the event starting at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is Carry Kindness: A Touch of Literacy and Style. Proceeds will support Rotary literacy projects. Tickets are available for $50 each at Denim Wearhouse, Scott’s Pharmasave, Three Dog Distilling Company, and Mrs. Coats & More.

Proceeds will support the St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish’s religious education program. The event will feature local craftspeople with baked goods, preserves, jewellery, knitting, and sewing, as well as vendors selling Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Sweetlegs, and other products.
The Knights of Columbus 8381 Father Michael Egan Council hosts its weekly auction 45 card games on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Friendly Neighbour Senior Citizens’ Hall (26 Sutton Rd.) in the former village of Nelson. New prize structures are used each week. There is also a 50-50 draw and a special draw to find the Jack of Diamonds, with a prize of $250 to $500. Admission costs $5 per person and includes a chance to win the Jack of Diamonds jackpot.
