The Powerball jackpot surged to an estimated $438 million with a cash option of $207 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
The grand prize grew after Monday’s drawing failed to produce a jackpot winner. Monday’s game was offering lottery players a chance at $419 million.
The jackpot has been rolling since the last grand prize winners in September, who split the second-largest Powerball jackpot in history earlier this year. On Sept. 6, two tickets sold in Missouri and Texas matched all six numbers to claim a staggering $1.8 billion prize, marking one of the largest lottery wins in U.S. history.
As Powerball inches closer to half a billion dollars, Mega Millions has also continued to rise even higher with an $843 million grand prize up for grabs on Friday.
The winning numbers for Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 were 9-17-29-61-66, Powerball 26. The Power Play multiplier was 5.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million. The odds of matching all five white balls and winning the $1 million prize are 1 in 11,688,053. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.87.
The Powerball drawing takes place live at 10:59 p.m. ET every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets, which cost $2 per play, are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The top 6 largest Powerball wins have all surpassed $1 billion. Powerball lottery games have potentially huge jackpots because they are played in multiple states.
