Bingo night raises money to help feed hungry children in Tuscaloosa – The Tuscaloosa News

Bingo night at Innisfree Irish Pub turned into a battleground to combat food insecurity for West Alabama’s children thanks to an effort by Susan Daria’s public relations class at the University of Alabama.
Alabama Credit Union founded the Secret Meals program to feed hungry children in 2008. The program began in Tuscaloosa at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary but has spread like wildfire since its inception. The program now serves 101 schools in Alabama and Florida.
