Winning Powerball Ticket Sold At Capital Region Grocery Store – cnynews.com

Lately, the Capital Region has been cashing in with various games from the New York Lottery. There have been scratch-off jackpot winners, Mega Millions winners, and many Powerball winners. We have to add one more to the Powerball winners in our area.
The Monday, November 10th, Powerball drawing was worth $492,300,000. No one won the top prize, but one winner cashed in on third prize. The numbers for the drawing were 06, 28, 44, 48, 58, and the Powerball was 23.
A third-prize winner worth $50,000 was sold in Albany County at the Price Chopper/Market 32 at 475 Albany Shaker Road in Loudonville. It is worth fifty thousand dollars because the ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball number. The odds of doing that are 1 in 913,129!
The last winning third-place Powerball winning ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Albany County at the Hannaford at 579 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham for the Saturday, October 11th drawing.
Before that, a Capital Region winning Powerball ticket was worth $100,000. This third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at a Stewart's Shop located in Schoharie County at 526 Highway 20 in Sharon Springs. This winning ticket is worth one hundred thousand dollars because it matched four numbers and the Powerball number, but the Powerplay feature was played, which multiplied the third-place prize by two.
Although these were Powerball winners, the Capital Region has had many winners from New York Lottery scratch-off tickets. Stewart's Shops continue to be the luckiest places to play.
