The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K Dodder on Rathfarnham Road in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
A spokesperson said: “I picked up the results in the shop and manually went through them, comparing the results to my ticket.
“As I went through, I was ticking the numbers off, not thinking we would ever have a top prize win.
“I was saying to myself that we matched four numbers, then five and then never expected to be saying we had all six numbers.

They won the top prize of €500,000 in the Friday night Plus draw after purchasing their ticket at Donnybrook Fair on Morehampton Road in Donnybrook, Dublin 4.
They said: “I was visiting a family member when I decided to pop into the shop to pick up our ticket.
“A few days later, I noticed that I had two tickets in my pocket to check.
“There was nothing on the first one and when I checked this one, I could see there was something but no idea how much.
“To be honest, I didn’t even know that there was a €500,000 win that night.
“I assumed it was a smaller prize, so I rang the Claims Team to find out and it was only then that I realised.
“I’m sure the person on the end of the line could hear how shocked I was!”
The EuroMillions Plus winners are now looking forward to booking a holiday to celebrate.
