A new Ichiban Kuji lottery based on the legendary supernatural thriller Death Note has been announced.
The new lottery features a lineup of prizes that pay homage to the original manga series, including figures based on the iconic cover art.
Death Note, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, is a global hit series that follows the psychological battle between the genius student Light Yagami and the detective L.
The top prizes in this lottery capture that rivalry perfectly.
The A Prize is a figure of Light Yagami holding a scythe, based on the cover illustration of Volume 1.
The B Prize is a figure of L sitting in his signature winged chair, based on the cover of Volume 2.
Other prizes utilize Takeshi Obata’s stunning artwork, including acrylic boards and clear posters.
A unique item in the lineup is the “Ryuk Phasing Magnet,” which creates the illusion of the Shinigami passing through a wall.
Here is the full prize lineup:
A figure recreating the Volume 1 cover art, standing approximately 20 centimeters tall (26 centimeters to the tip of the scythe).
A figure recreating the Volume 2 cover art, standing approximately 10 centimeters tall.
Four selectable types featuring Takeshi Obata’s beautiful illustrations.
A figure magnet that reproduces Ryuk slipping through a wall with realistic texture.
Three selectable types, including glasses and plates.
Twelve selectable types of A3 posters featuring cover illustrations.
Fourteen blind-box types featuring scenes from the series.
Seven selectable types featuring Shinigami and Shinigami Eye motifs.
Seven selectable types, including clear files, memo pads, and stickers.
A figure of L in his signature thinking pose, awarded to the customer who buys the last ticket.
This is the latest in a recent resurgence of Death Note merchandise.
It follows the recent announcement from FuRyu regarding a new line of Death Note “Noodle Stopper” prize figures, which will see Light, Ryuk, and L released starting from April 2026.
The “Ichiban Kuji Death Note” is priced at 790 yen (approx. $5.11 USD / £4.05 GBP) per play.
It is scheduled to be released at convenience stores, bookstores, and hobby shops across Japan on November 29, 2025.
An online release via the official Ichiban Kuji Online store will follow on December 1, 2025.
