Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $965M ahead of Friday drawing – KGW

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to an estimated $965 million, the Oregon Lottery announced Thursday, marking the largest jackpot since December 2024. That month, the prize reached $862 million before climbing to $1.269 billion, the fifth-largest Mega Millions jackpot ever.
Friday’s estimated jackpot ranks as the eighth largest in the game’s history. Since the current run began on June 28, Oregon players have won more than $4.3 million in total Mega Millions prizes, with 654,567 winning tickets sold. About a third of all game sales go toward state programs that support education, veterans’ services, economic development, and Oregon’s state parks.
Retailers also benefit from higher ticket sales and bonuses for selling winning tickets. A retailer that sells a $1 million winning ticket earns a $10,000 bonus.
Mega Millions tickets cost $5 and can be purchased until 6:59 p.m. on the day of the drawing. Drawings are held Tuesday and Friday nights.
The Oregon Lottery recommends players sign the back of their tickets and, for jackpot winners, consult financial professionals before claiming prizes.

England vs Serbia live updates: World Cup 2026 qualifier team news, predictions and more – The New York Times

England face Serbia in a 2026 World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium today.
The hosts have already qualified for next summer's tournament, but tonight's opponents are at risk of missing out.
Thomas Tuchel has overseen six England wins from six in this qualifying campaign as momentum builds ahead of the World Cup.
GO FURTHER
England to name Morgan Rogers as No 10 against Serbia, Jude Bellingham on bench
It might seem like a knee-jerk reaction to call for Brighton striker Danny Welbeck, 34, to earn an England recall on the back of six goals in his last six Premier League games.
After all, international selection isn’t solely about picking in-form players — it’s about creating a cohesive group — and it’s been seven years since Welbeck’s last England cap.
Welbeck is probably in the best form of his career. Only Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago have more in the Premier League this season. He is regarded as a good professional, a popular team-mate and a reliable traveller.
More importantly, of course, he would be a useful plan B, and also a decent tactical option if England need discipline in advanced positions.
One thing which probably concerns most England fans is the lack of backup for star player and captain Harry Kane.
There is no doubt at all that Kane, his country's record goalscorer with 76 goals from 110 caps, is one of the best finishers in world football. But he is also 33 next July and has been dogged by several injuries in the last few years.
What if he is injured, ill or unfit at the World Cup? As Rob Tanner outlined here, the most recent deputies in Dom Solanke, Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins are injured, in Saudi Arabia and painfully out of form.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Callum Wilson and Liam Delap aren't scoring regularly in the Premier League; Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford are better out wide.
In the latest squad, Rashford and Bowen are the only players who could moonlight up front. For now, that is enough for Tuchel.
How long do you have? Of course, there are only 11 starters, but… in goal, No. 2 Dean Henderson could maybe consider himself unlucky not to be given a run-out recently, especially in the friendly match against Wales.
At the back, Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite when fully fit would be above Dan Burn in this correspondent's pecking order at centre-half.
Tyrick Mitchell's stellar form for Crystal Palace at left-back has been overlooked again, with natural midfielder Nico O'Reilly, 20, natural right-back Djed Spence and 33-year-old veteran Burn considered adequate cover for a specialist position.
Attacking midfield? Jack Grealish's club form at Everton has ever so slightly dropped off but his maverick abilities deserve a place.
On the wing Noni Madueke might replace Jarrod Bowen when back from injury too. The real controversy lies in central midfield, with the 35-year-old Jordan Henderson's place called into question by many.
Plenty of players who could and maybe should be in the squad and potentially the team ahead of him. Curtis Jones, Conor Gallagher, maybe even the dropped Gibbs-White too.
Serbia's squad is as follows.
Goalkeepers: Veljko Ilic (Widzew Lodz), Djordje Petrovic (Bournemouth), Predrag Rajkovic (Al-Ittihad).
Defenders: Strahinja Erakovic (Zenit Saint Petersburg), Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest), Veljko Milosavljevic (Bournemouth), Ognjen Mimovic (Pafos), Strahinja Pavlovic (Milan), Mihailo Ristic (Celta Vigo), Aleksa Terzic (Red Bull Salzburg), Milos Veljkovic (Red Star Belgrade).
Midfielders: Vanja Dragojevic (Partizan), Marko Grujic (AEK Athens), Nemanja Gudelj (Sevilla), Aleksandar Katai (Red Star Belgrade), Ivan Ilic (Torino), Luka Ilic (Real Oviedo), Filip Kostic (Juventus), Sasa Lukic (Fulham), Nemanja Radonjic (Red Star Belgrade), Lazar Randelovic (Vojvodina), Lazar Samardzic (Atalanta), Aleksandar Stankovic (Club Brugge).
Forwards: Luka Jovic (AEK Athens), Petar Ratkov (Red Bull Salzburg), Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus).
Thomas Tuchel’s final England squad of 2025 was also one of his most notable.
While the recall of Jude Bellingham was widely expected, decisions around the periphery of the squad offered some clues as to where he is looking as he turns his attentions to the 2026 World Cup.
Below, The Athletic's expert reporters have had their say on the key names included and excluded and analyse his more intriguing decisions.
GO FURTHER
Analysing Tuchel’s big England calls: Foden and Wharton in, Gibbs-White and Watkins out
As mentioned, Scott and Wharton are added in midfield at the expense of Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White and AC Milan's Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Nick Pope was preferred to James Trafford in goal but withdrew after a concussion for Newcastle with Trafford coming back in, and Nico O'Reilly included at left-back at the expense of Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Attacking midfielders Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden return after starring for their clubs recently but the out-of-form striker Ollie Watkins misses out.
Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon is out after he picked up a hip injury, while Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has reported for duty but is being assessed after a foot injury against AZ on Thursday.
Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah has been added to the squad as potential cover for Guehi.
Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton has been included in the England squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, while there is a first call-up for Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.
Wharton has played just once for England’s senior team, a friendly against Bosnia & Herzegovina ahead of Euro 2024, where he was named in England’s squad but did not feature at the tournament.
Scott has been capped 11 times for England’s Under-21 side and has been a regular for in-form Bournemouth this campaign, featuring in all 10 Premier League matches. Tuchel said of the additions on Friday:
💬 “We need to learn about (Wharton) in our environment, what he can bring to our squad and prepare ourselves if Elliot (Anderson) is maybe not able to play both 90 minutes.
“Alex deserves to be with us… he stepped really up and is a regular starter for Bournemouth. He came a long way, and he performed his way into this nomination. Hopefully he can prove us right and show us his talent and personality.”
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton).
Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Nico O’Reilly (Manchester City), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City).
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jordan Henderson (Brentford), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Alex Scott (Bournemouth), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace).
Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Barcelona), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal).
With England already confirmed as World Cup qualification Group K winners, Serbia are fighting for second.
They currently lie in third, a point and a place behind Albania.
If Albania beat bottom-of-the-group Andorra in a match played at the same time as this one and Serbia lose, the Serbs would be knocked out.
The new head coach of Serbia is Veljko Paunovic, brought in to replace his predecessor Dragan Stojkovic, who was sacked on October 30.
Stojkovic, one of the best Serbian players of all time as a player, had spent around four-and-a-half years in charge, winning 26 of his 55 games in charge (47.27 per cent), losing 15 and drawing 14.
The 48-year-old Paunovic represented Serbia and Montenegro twice, scoring once, in his playing career, including two spells with Atletico Madrid.
As a manager, he has been in charge of the Serbian Under-18, U19 and U20 sides as well as English team Reading. Fun fact: he speaks six languages — Serbian, Russian, Macedonian, English, Spanish and German.
After losing 1-0 against group rivals Albania on October 11 in the last international break, Serbia needed a win by any means against Andorra three days later.
That's exactly what they got.
Guillaume Lopez gave the hosts a shock lead but that only served to wake Serbia up and they were level two minutes later via a Christian Garcia own goal.
In the second half, goals from strikers Dusan Vlahovic and then Aleksandar Mitrovic from the penalty spot wrapped things up for the favourites.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save head coach Dragan Stojkovic's job…
With England qualified, Thomas Tuchel will now have a chance to test players he feels can contribute to the group ethos, as well as playing around with finding his most effective starting team and formation.
It could get more ruthless before the nation rallies behind the national team next summer — but things are in a positive place.
Since making his England debut against Andorra in September, Anderson has started victories against Serbia, Wales and Latvia.
The 22-year-old, who previously played for Scotland’s junior teams, has been the preferred central midfield partner for Declan Rice. There is a belief the Anderson and Declan Rice partnership is here to stay.
It was a position that had a plethora of options, from Kobbie Mainoo to Curtis Jones and Angel Gomes, but their lack of consistency has enabled Anderson to leapfrog them in the pecking order.
As the World Cup approaches, Tuchel appears unlikely to tinker in midfield, allowing Anderson’s importance to grow. If he starts next to Rice again tonight, it will be another indication of his importance.
In England's most recent match, it was a five-star performance and result away in Latvia (you can recap how things happened with our play-by-play coverage here.)
Anthony Gordon's goal put the visitors ahead just before the half-hour mark and captain Harry Kane netted twice moments before the break to give his side a commanding lead.
An unfortunate Maksims Tonisevs own goal around the hour mark and Eberechi Eze's powerful low strike wrapped things up in style.
The three points officially secured their qualification for the 2026 World Cup as Group K winners, with six wins from six and 18 points from a possible 18.
They will be defending that 100 per cent record in qualifying today.

Nestled in the north-west of the English capital city, the current Wembley opened in 2007 on the site of the old stadium, which had stood from 1923 to 2003.
It holds 90,000 people, making it the biggest ground in the UK and the second-largest in Europe after Barcelona's Camp Nou.

XRP vs Shiba Inu Price: Which Meme Coin Wins Big in the Next BTC Price Surge? Best Crypto to Buy 2025 – CoinCentral

The crypto market is holding its breath. With the BTC Price teetering at a critical juncture, the question on every investor’s mind is: where will the smart money flow next? All eyes are on the altcoin sector, with two community titans, XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB), poised for a major move. But as this battle unfolds, a new generation of presales like Based Eggman are emerging, promising even greater volatility and potential reward. We’re breaking down the data to crown the Best Crypto to Buy before the next leg up.
XRP remains a powerhouse in the altcoin arena, bolstered by recent XRP News around international partnerships and the long-anticipated possibility of XRP ETF approval. Should an ETF materialize, XRP is poised for a substantial institutional inflow, mirroring the impact ETFs had on Bitcoin and Ethereum. This tailwind could propel the XRP Price towards the $3–$5 range, with some price predictions suggesting even greater upside if the legal climate continues to improve. However, regulatory setbacks or extended court battles remain risks, making XRP a play on both innovation and compliance.
A realistic Shiba Inu Coin Price Prediction for 2025, in the event of a BTC Price surge, sees it challenging the $0.0001 level. This price point is not just psychological; it represents a multi-billion dollar market cap that requires sustained buying pressure and successful ecosystem development to achieve.
The Shiba Inu Coin Price is a measure of retail sentiment and ecosystem strength. While it will always be compared to its predecessor, Doge, SHIB has aggressively pursued a path beyond mere meme status. Shiba Inu’s launch and adoption of its Shibarium Layer-2 network is critical. It aims to reduce transaction fees and foster a new wave of dApps and metaverse projects, creating intrinsic demand for the token.
While XRP and SHIB battle on the main stage, the most explosive opportunities are often found earlier. Enter the Based Eggman Presale, a project positioning itself as a Shiba Inu Coin rival with a unique value proposition. Similar to Shiba Inu Coin, Based Eggman is quickly capturing the majority of retail investor sentiment on the Coinbase Layer-2 Blockchain, Base network and offers a unique blend of technical advances, meme culture, gaming, and socialFi designed to drive long-term engagement. The Based Eggman Presale gives early investors access at extremely low prices, creating the potential for 100x–300x returns if the project captures community attention post-launch. Its roadmap includes streaming rewards and community-driven events, making it more than just a fleeting trend.
Choosing between Shiba Inu Coin, Based Eggman, and XRP depends on your investment goals and market outlook.
Based Eggman presents the greatest potential upside, early investors could see massive returns if it captures meme momentum and community hype post-launch.
Shiba Inu Coin appeals to new enthusiasts and speculative traders, offering high volatility and potential for sharp gains during bull runs, however Shiba Inu Coin price activity heavily relies on BTC price rallies and SHIB’s ecosystem upgrades (like Shibarium) gain traction.
XRP is ideal for those seeking a more established project with strong utility and institutional potential. If the much-anticipated XRP ETF approval materializes, which could send XRP price soaring
At its presale price, an investment in Based Eggman is a unique high-reward play. Any capital investment can secure a massive number of tokens. If the project gains even a fraction of SHIB’s cultural footprint, the ROI could be astronomical.
Meme Utility Coin: Rivalling many meme coins that rely solely on hype, Based Eggman is built on a framework of gaming, socialFi, and streaming integrations. This utility aims to create sustained demand for the token, acting as a hedge against the fleeting nature of viral trends. It’s not just a token; it’s an access key to a growing interactive platform on the high-speed Base network.
Timing the Narrative: The convergence of Coinbase development, gaming, and social finance is a dominant theme for the 2025/2026 cycle. Based Eggman is positioned at the center of this convergence, making its timing strategically relevant.
The next BTC Price surge will create winners and losers. Your strategy should be deliberate.
For the Institutional & Patient Investor: XRP is your core holding. Its upside is tied to XRP ETF Approval and broader financial adoption. This is the steady hand in a volatile market.
For the Meme Traditionalist: Shiba Inu Price action will likely be highly correlated with major meme rallies or continue to plummet against Bitcoin price action.
For the Profit Hunters: The Based Eggman Presale is your tactical strike. It offers the chance for life-changing returns, assuming you can stomach the inherent risk of an early-stage project.
The most prudent approach for 2025 is diversification: a foundation in XRP, a speculative allocation to SHIB, and a calculated, small-capital bet on the Best Crypto Presale contender, Based Eggman. By covering all bases—utility, meme power, and institutional potential—you position yourself to win no matter which narrative dominates the next bull run.
It is extremely unlikely that Shiba Inu Coin (SHIB) will ever reach $1, as this would require a market cap in the hundreds of trillions of dollars—far exceeding the entire global crypto and stock markets combined. Even with aggressive token burns and mass adoption, hitting $1 is not realistic given the enormous circulating supply.
A $500 XRP price is also highly improbable. At $500 per coin, XRP’s market cap would be in the tens of trillions, surpassing the total value of all cryptocurrencies and most traditional assets. While XRP could see significant growth if an ETF is approved and institutional adoption surges, realistic bullish targets are in the $5–$15 range during a strong bull cycle.
Based Eggman, being in its presale phase and launching from a tiny market cap, has a much higher potential for outsized percentage gains compared to Shiba Inu Coin, which is already a multi-billion dollar asset. While SHIB can still rally strongly in a bull market, early investors in Based Eggman could potentially see 100x or more if the project gains traction, though it also carries much higher risk.
To buy Based Eggman with Shiba Inu Coin, simply visit the official Based Eggman presale portal, which now supports direct payments using SHIB from both the native Shiba Inu Blockchain and the Shiba Inu token on the Ethereum network. This means you don’t need to swap your SHIB for another cryptocurrency—just connect your wallet, select the SHIB payment option that matches your network, and complete your purchase of Based Eggman GGs tokens in a few clicks. As a special incentive, all users who buy with Shiba Inu Coin receive an instant 50% bonus in GGs tokens, making it not only convenient but also highly rewarding to use your SHIB for this top crypto presale. Always double-check you’re on the official portal before making any transactions.

Numbers, neighbors and notion of goodwill define bingo hall’s winning formula – Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business

Kennewick’s Bingo Boulevard is a place where friends meet up to play a few games and share laughs – and maybe win a big prize.
The ball pops out of the machine and rolls into view on big screens as dozens of players sit poised over their cards, daubers raised in quiet anticipation.
“Someone’s going to call out a bingo any time now,” said Darla Novak, bingo manager of 27 years at Kennewick’s Bingo Boulevard.
The next ball appeared on the screen and in a split second three players called out, “Bingo!” in succession.
Bingo Boulevard, located at 6222 W. John Day Ave. in Kennewick, has been in business since 1992. It’s the last remaining dedicated bingo hall in the Tri-Cities since Bingo City of Pasco and Bingo Palace of Kennewick closed years ago.
It’s a place for connections, where friends and family share laughs while vying for a win. It’s also a place that supports a longtime nonprofit’s mission to make the Tri-Cities a better place.
Columbia Center Rotary Club has owned and operated the hall for 33 years to fund its community service programs, scholarships, grants and more.
Missy Eckman, a Realtor with Exit Realty Tri-Cities, has been coming for three years. “I like it for the people and the friendships – it’s a great networking place. I’m not a huge gambler, but I love bingo. It’s a great place to go and relax,” she said.
It costs a minimum of $5 to play, but to play all 13 games featured each session, it costs $15.
More cards for each game are available at an additional cost as well as tablets synced with the current game being called that help players find matching numbers on up to 66 cards at a time.
Kids 10 and up can play, too, if they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring official identification – a birth certificate or school ID.
Each game features a different shape pattern that players try to be the first to mark out on their card.
Games have names such as 7 Around the Corner, Flag, Goal Post, Any Block of 9 in a Corner, 4 Leaf Clover, Frame, Crazy L, or first to a blackout.
A neighbor invited Missy Eckman, a Realtor for Exit Realty Tri-Cities, to play bingo a few years ago and she has been hooked ever since. She says it’s the people who keep her coming back to Bingo Boulevard – both the friends she has made as well as the staff.
Bingo Boulevard also sells pull-tabs and offers holiday-related specials.
Katie Pierce stepped in as Bingo Boulevard’s new general manager about two months ago, after the death of former general manager, Wayne Bertz.
She said evening sessions are usually busier than the afternoon, regularly welcoming 110 to 170 players, while the afternoon typically sees 50 to 60 attendees. The hall can accommodate 300 people. Bingo Boulevard employs 11 people.
Prizes range from $100 up to $10,000 and each week that a prize isn’t won, the max number of squares needed to win goes up, increasing the chances of winning.
Novak said when the numbers are up, more players come out of the woodwork to see if they might be the lucky winner. In the case of a tie, prizes are split equally between players.
Sharing the same building as the bingo hall is the headquarters for Columbia Center Rotary.
It’s one of six local clubs belonging to Rotary International. Rotary’s motto is “service above self.”
In the Tri-City community, the club has contributed to or directly funded dozens of projects and programs since it was founded in 1985. To date, it has contributed more than $2.5 million to some 70 projects both in the Tri-City community and internationally, according to its website.
“The success of the bingo operation has been the major source of funding for the projects we have completed in the Tri-City area,” said Mike Rader, secretary of Columbia Center Rotary’s charity board.
This includes additions to the Reach Museum, Washington State University Master Gardener Demonstration Garden and other on-campus projects, art installations at Columbia Gardens Wine & Artisan Village, Tri-Cities Youth Soccer Complex, Badger Mountain Dog Park and the family fishing pond, Playground of Dreams and J&S Dreamland Express train in Columbia Park.
Bingo Boulevard originally opened at Fourth Avenue and Vancouver Street in Kennewick after Rotarians determined it could be a source of income to fund club projects, said Rader.
A few years later, the property off Kellogg Street was acquired, and the 18,823-square-foot facility opened in 1997.
Rader said that when the state banned all indoor smoking in 2005, the former nonsmoking section of the bingo hall was converted into an event center where the club holds its weekly meetings.
Bingo Boulevard, located at 6222 W. John Day Ave. in Kennewick, has been in business since 1992. It’s the last remaining dedicated bingo hall in the Tri-Cities since Bingo City of Pasco and Bingo Palace of Kennewick closed years ago.
Through the years, Bingo Boulevard has seen a lot of changes both in the technology for playing bingo, as well as weathering the Covid-19 pandemic that shut down operations for a year before being able to reopen under social distancing restrictions.
Many regulars at Bingo Boulevard have fond memories of former managers, the late Jim Savelli and Bertz, who made the atmosphere special and brought people together, Novak said.
Phyllis Stiles, a 78-year-old who has been coming to Bingo Boulevard since its Fourth and Vancouver days, said what’s kept her coming back is the people. “(Bingo)’s just something to do that’s exciting. I don’t care if I win or not, you just go for the people. The workers are wonderful there … everyone is so friendly. Plus, the money goes to a good cause and benefits locals.”
Though that’s not to say she hasn’t won.
“The payoffs are very good. I just won $10,000 in June. I thought I was going to die when I won $1,000! Bingo Boulevard is the best.”
The bingo hall is open Friday through Sunday, hosting an afternoon and evening session each day. It also has a snack bar that serves up hot dogs, nachos, prepackaged snacks and nonalcoholic bottled and canned beverages.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and play begins at noon for the afternoon session, which runs until around 2:30 p.m.
The doors open again at 4:30 p.m. for the evening session, with play starting at 6 p.m. and continuing until about 8:30 p.m.

When News Matters, It Matters Where You Get Your News.
Charlotte Hall, Md. — A woman in her 60s from St. Mary’s County collected a $50,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery on Nov. 10, 2025, after her husband uncovered the winning $5 Break the Bank scratch-off ticket at their home. The longtime player, who has bought lottery tickets for more than 25 years, visited Lottery headquarters in Baltimore that Monday to sign for the payout and recount the moment for staff.
The couple, weekend regulars at the game, had purchased the ticket days earlier at Weis Market on Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall. Her husband scratched it first and passed it to her when the numbers seemed too good to believe. She scanned the ticket using the Maryland Lottery mobile app, which displayed “See Retailer” — a signal for prizes exceeding $600. “When I realized the amount, I almost broke down in tears,” she said. “I’ve played for years, and it’s truly a dream come true to finally win something like this.” Her largest previous payout stood at $1,000, but the habit persisted as simple entertainment. “At my age, you find fun where you can,” she added with a laugh. “That’s our fun on the weekends.”
With the windfall, the winner plans to trade in her vehicle of more than 15 years for a new one, easing daily drives along the county’s rural stretches like Three Notch Road, a key artery linking Charlotte Hall to Leonardtown and beyond. She and her husband intend to keep up their lottery routine, undeterred by the score.
The Break the Bank game, launched Aug. 20, 2025, offers players 15 chances to match symbols and break open virtual safes for cash prizes on each $5 ticket. The top award of $50,000 appears three times across the print run, with overall odds of winning any prize at 1 in 3.77. Lower tiers range from $5 free plays to $1,000, with four top prizes remaining as of early November before this claim reduced the count. Players scratch designated areas to reveal prizes, and non-winning tickets qualify for second-chance drawings worth up to $25,000 through the Unlock the Cash promotion. The game’s instant-reveal format appeals to quick-play enthusiasts, contributing to Maryland’s $2.8 billion in scratch-off sales for fiscal year 2025.
Claiming prizes above $600 requires a visit to Lottery headquarters or a district office, or mailing the ticket with a completed form. Winners must provide a Social Security number or federal tax ID and a government-issued photo ID for verification and tax withholding — 24 percent federal on amounts over $5,000, plus 8.95 percent state. The process ensures secure payouts, processed within days at the Baltimore claims center off Patapsco Avenue. For this winner, the in-person option allowed her to share her story directly, a common step for mid-five-figure awards that often draw media notes from the agency.
Weis Market at 30015 Three Notch Road earned a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket, part of Maryland’s retailer incentive program that awards 1 percent of prizes over $600 to stores. The 60,000-square-foot grocery, which opened in 2021 as the chain’s 51st Maryland location, stocks Lottery terminals alongside fresh produce and pharmacy services in the heart of Charlotte Hall’s commercial strip. Such bonuses support over 4,500 authorized retailers statewide, many in rural Southern Maryland spots where convenience drives foot traffic.
