After a monumental 2024 WNBA season, Unrivaled is ready to take center stage in the offseason. It’s not unusual for women hoopers to compete in other leagues during their time off — in fact, most players seek out additional playing opportunities as a way to keep their skills sharp and supplement their W earnings.
The trend of competing domestically in the offseason has been on the rise in recent years thanks to Athletes Unlimited (AU) Basketball, along with slight increases in WNBA salaries and brand endorsements for players.
Aside from inking the game’s brightest stars (more on them below), Unrivaled also has plenty of cash — and money talks. The league has a salary pool of over $8M, putting their average salary at $222,222, approximately $8K more than the max annual contract in the WNBA.
You might be wondering: Where’s all this cash coming from? Great question. Between a pair of successful funding rounds and an array of sponsorship deals, Unrivaled is already proving to be an incredibly popular investment opportunity for individuals and brands alike…all before tip-off.

Then there’s the sponsorship deals. As for the rules, it’s not quite the 3×3 we saw at the Olympics, but it’s also different from the typical 5-on-5 version of the sport. Unrivaled is full-court 3-on-3 hoops, with games consisting of three seven-minute quarters and a fourth quarter that’s played to a “winning score.” Notably, the court is compressed — it’s only 70 feet long compared to the traditional 94-foot hardwood.
The season will run for eight weeks with each team playing 14 regular-season games on Monday, Friday, and Saturday nights at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Miami. The top four teams will advance to the postseason, which tips off on March 16th with the championship slated for the next day.

🎵 Rhyne Howard, Vinyl BC: The Atlanta Dream superstar enters the league with a secret weapon: Experience. Howard won a 3×3 bronze in Paris with Team USA (and Unrivaled teammate Dearica Hamby) last August, which could give the Vinyl a slight edge. Turn it up.

(KMDL-FM) The Louisiana Lottery has just wrapped up a very lucrative weekend in Louisiana. There were drawings in the multi-state Mega Millions and Powerball lotteries over the weekend. Plus, the Louisiana Lottery hosted in-state drawings for the Lotto and Easy 5 games. If you've not been following the games that closely, it's been a while since each of those games has gotten a winner.
If you're wondering where each game's jackpot stands, here are the numbers as of Monday, October 13, 2025. The Mega Millions jackpot currently has the highest single payout jackpot. That jackpot amount is estimated to be $600 million when they draw in that game on Tuesday night.

The Powerball game, that's the other multi-state lottery game played in Louisiana, currently has a jackpot of $258 million. That game will hold its next drawing tonight, Monday, October 13, 2025. That drawing is scheduled for 10 pm.
In Saturday's Powerball drawing, Louisiana players did not fare well at all. The largest prize earned by a Louisiana-sold ticket was only $200. Still, there were about 7,000 winning tickets sold for Saturday's drawing. If you'd like to see the drawing from Saturday, here it is.
In Saturday's drawing, the top prize was estimated to be $244.3 million, but there was no jackpot winner, which is why tonight's Powerball is estimated to be $258 million. There were four Match 5 Million winners sold for Saturday's drawing. Two tickets each in Georgia and Illinois matched all the white balls to earn the $1 million prize.
Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery continues to amaze. Based on my facts and figures, I certainly felt that Lotto would have produced a winner about two months ago, but alas, the jackpot continues to climb. The current Lotto jackpot is $2.975 million. That game draws again on Wednesday night.
Easy 5 is the other homegrown Louisiana Lottery game. That game always seems to get a jackpot once a month. September was no exception as Easy 5 got a $220,000 winner on September 27th. But there have been no big winners since then, so the jackpot is expected to climb to $90,000 for the Wednesday drawing.
As far as unclaimed money goes, the Louisiana Lottery is currently holding $300,000 in unclaimed Powerball winnings. Those winnings are in the form of three $50,000 winners and a $150,000 winner from July 23rd. There is also a $5,000 Mega Millions prize that has yet to be claimed, and the largest unclaimed prize is from the recent Easy 5 win on September 27th. The unclaimed amount on that prize is $223,475.00.
Don't forget Powerball draws tonight, at 10, and ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the drawing. And please remember that all lottery games come with a risk of losing money.
