There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the latest drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery, pushing the estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing to $719 million.
There were four tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, including one sold at a convenience store in Mission Viejo, which is worth $979,462, the California Lottery announced.

While tickets with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, sold in other states are worth $1 million or $2 million, California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis, meaning they are determined by sales and the number of winners.
One ticket each with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was sold in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina and each is worth $1 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game.
The numbers drawn Wednesday were 7, 8, 15, 19, 28 and the Powerball number was 3. The estimated jackpot was $685 million.
The drawing was the 34th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9.

TRENTON, N.J. (WKRC) – A couple won two scratch-off lottery tickets within six months for a total of $4 million, an achievement the lottery said was 1.2 million times less likely than getting struck by a meteorite.
The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, first won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket on April 1, 2025, according to a release from the New Jersey Lottery. The parents, who have two children and a third on the way, were satisfied with their winnings, but their luck hadn't faded yet.
Less than six months later, the couple purchased a winning scratch-off from an Exxon gas station, receiving an additional $3 million in prizes. The New Jersey Lottery said the odds of this happening were roughly "1 in two trillion."
"For comparison's sake, a player would be 1.2 million times more likely to be hit by a meteorite," the lottery wrote.
The couple said they buy lottery tickets in bulk at the beginning of the month and each scratch a few after their 5-year-old and 11-month-old go to bed, making it a competition to see who can win the most.
The matriarch of the family pointed to the $1 million celebration as to why the couple has a third child on the way, saying, "Maybe we celebrated a bit too much." She was reportedly five months pregnant.

Sandra Hall, a 61-year-old former carer from Stoke-on-Trent, won the Set for Life draw on May 8. She said: “This win is incredible. I’m not sure it’s still fully sunk in.
Ms Hall treated herself to a hot tub engraved with her winning lottery numbers, saying: “I want to remind myself how lucky I have been every time I take a dip.
“It’s always been who I am to try and look after others, it’s my vocation. Sometimes I get reminded by family and friends that I need to do something for myself.
“So, when I found out that I’d just won the top prize on Set For Life, I knew my one treat would be a hot tub.”

The Lotto and Euromillions both work on a roll over basis, meaning if someone doesn’t win, the money is added to the next draw’s prize pot.
But much like the National Lottery’s other fixed prize games (such as Thunderball and HotPicks), if the top prize is not won, it will not roll over.
Research from Betway examined the most frequently drawn numbers in the UK Lottery to determine which ones could be the luckiest.
Looking at the winning numbers between October 2015 and November 2024, Betway found that 37 is the luckiest number, having appeared 116 times on a winning ticket.
Coming in second is the number 52, which has been drawn 115 times, while the numbers 39 and 58 are tied for third place, each appearing 113 times.
In fourth position is number 27, followed by number 42 in fifth. Numbers 8 and 11 share the sixth spot, followed by 20 in seventh and 41 in eighth.
According to the National Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize during the Set For Life draw is 1 in 12.4.
You can check the results on the National Lottery app by scanning your ticket for instant results. You can also check on the website or watch draws live on the National Lottery website or YouTube channel.
There are a number of unclaimed National Lottery and Euromillions winnings across the UK. These include one £100,000 winner, three £1 million winners, and one £3.6 million winner.
Winners have 180 days (about six months) from the date of the draw to claim their prize. After that, the money is transferred to National Lottery-funded community projects around the UK.
Getting all six balls means you will win £10,000 a month for the next 30 years. Getting the five main balls will win you £10,000 every month for a year.
Getting a mix of the other balls will mean you win between £5 and £250.
All you have to do is pay £1.50 and pick five numbers and one Life Ball. Alternatively, you can select the Lucky Dip option which randomly selects the numbers for you. This can be done online or in participating stores until 7.30pm tonight.

Alison Hume MP, who represents Scarborough and Whitby, says she is saddened by the closure of the local Mecca Bingo hall in Scarborough.
The popular venue, located on Albermarle Crescent, held its final session on Sunday, marking the end of a long-standing community tradition.
Ms Hume stated that she knows "many people living in Scarborough and the surrounding area are saddened by Mecca Bingo’s decision to close their site in town".
For many residents, the venue was far more than a place to play games; it served as a crucial social nexus. The MP explained that some constituents told her how their trips were actually "social occasions, providing them with the chance to keep in touch with old friends and make new ones".
The closure has also hit those who relied on the club for their income. Ms Hume acknowledged that "for others, the venue was important because it was their livelihood". The deep friendships formed within the hall, bridging the gap between staff and customers, were evident during the final session. Ms Hume reported that those working their last shifts were called up onto stage and "given a rousing reception by everyone else in attendance".
Pursuing Legislative Reform
Ms Hume emphasised that "Jobs, relationships and community spirit are vitally important", and she has acted quickly to try and safeguard the future of social gambling venues in the area.
The MP has already held discussions with the Bingo Association, focusing on how they can ensure Scarborough "has a bingo club moving forward".
In Westminster, Ms Hume raised the matter directly with Baroness Twycross, the Minister for Museums, Heritage and Gambling. The MP is now seeking to decouple bingo clubs from existing legislation that governs adult gaming centres (ACGs). While Ms Hume noted that her "dislike for adult gaming centres (ACGs) is a matter of record", she believes there is "an argument for bingo clubs to be decoupled" because of the important social opportunities they provide.
Regarding ACGs specifically, Ms Hume confirmed during what she described as a "very constructive conversation" with Baroness Twycross, that she will continue to press for the removal of ‘Aim to Permit’ when local authorities receive planning applications for them. The MP added that local authorities are set to be given additional powers to undertake impact assessments focused on "clusters of gambling businesses".
