Mega Millions jackpot at $70 million for Tuesday, Nov. 25 drawing – The News-Press

Just when the lottery frenzy was starting to peak with the Mega Millions jackpot on the brink of $1 billion, just over a week ago, a ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball to win the jackpot after more than five months of rolling over.
The Mega Millions jackpot numbers were matched by a $5 ticket purchased in Georgia, on Friday, Nov. 14, at $980 million, the eighth-largest Mega Millions jackpot of all time. The jackpot reset at $50 million for the Tuesday, Nov. 18, drawing and now sits at $70 million for this Tuesday’s drawing.
Check this story after 11 p.m. ET tonight to see the winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Mega Millions tickets start at $5 apiece. Below are some frequently asked questions about the game, when winning tickets expire in Florida (it differs state by state) and lottery odds. Good luck!
Check this story after 11 p.m. ET tonight to see the winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
In case you’re wondering, the winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, Nov. 21, were 3-4-19-31-63 and the Mega Ball was 9.
The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be at 11 p.m. ET on Black Friday, Nov. 28, 2025.
The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, when a ticket in Georgia matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball to win a $980 million prize.
Below is a recap of lottery drawings for the current rollover streak.
Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days (six months) from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, a winner has within the first 60 days after the applicable draw date to claim it.
The odds of winning are pretty low. According to the Mega Millions site, players have a 1 in 290,472,336 chance to match all five white balls plus the gold Mega Ball.
According to Florida Lottery’s website, winners cannot remain anonymous: “Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide records containing information such as the winner’s name, city of residence; game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information.”
However, the site states, the “names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.”
Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.
As of Nov. 25, 2025, these are the largest Mega Millions prizes in the history of the game, according to megamillions.com.
As of Nov. 25, 2025, there have been 13 lottery jackpots that have reached or surpassed $1 billion. Only once has a jackpot surpassed $2 billion. These are the biggest lottery jackpots in U.S. history.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s rivalry week, a game that many Buckeye fans wait all year for. It’s also a game where a lot of money is expected to change hands by the way of sports betting.
The College of Social Work at The Ohio State University warns that college students are at a higher risk of being harmed by sports betting, including financial insecurity, damaged relationships with family and friends and diminished mental health.
10TV went to the Ohio Union to ask students about betting on “The Game.” Many students Tuesday said they don’t bet on sports at all, but some said they are frequent gamblers on sports.
“I definitely have lost more than I won, but I’d say I’ve probably won more NFL football that anything,” said Noah Ruppel.
“I’ve lost a good amount, but I’d say I’m about even,” said Chase Ponik, “I’ve been sports betting for two years, so I’m about even.”
One OSU junior, Mikey Grant, had a warning for his peers about the pitfalls of sports betting.
“It’s a dangerous route to go down. I learned that the hard way,” Grant said. “I started with sports betting and then I got into blackjack, baccarat and stuff like that.”
Grant said he got caught up in the thrill and got addicted.
“It affected my relationships, because my dad hated my gambling more than anything. My mom hated my gambling, and I would start lying, like tell them that I was clean, but I wasn’t really clean,” he said.
It wasn’t until he lost $5,000 dollars in a single weekend that it clicked that he needed to make a change. Grant said he’s a month clean now. He permanently banned himself from the betting apps to peel himself away.
He said getting away from gambling is allowing him to enjoy sports again.
“Sports were so stressful. I would go to an Ohio State game and they would win by 25, but the spread was 27 and I was still stressing,” he said. “As long as Ohio State wins, now I’m happy no matter how much they win by.”
Gov. Mike DeWine has been growing increasingly critical of sports betting in Ohio.
In an interview with the Associated Press, DeWine said, looking back, he would not have signed the law legalizing sports betting in Ohio in 2021. “Ohio shouldn’t have done it,” he was quoted as saying.

Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot could be the largest win so far this year for a UK player if they scooped it
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it’s investigating the financials of Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, ‘The A Word’, which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
An estimated £157 million is on offer in the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday, a win which would be the biggest for any UK player this year.
The National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers for Tuesday were 6, 11, 17, 35, and 44, and the lucky stars were 3 and 7, however, nobody managed to claim the top prize.
The Thunderball numbers were 23, 25, 32, 35, 38, and 3.
If someone in the UK matches all seven numbers on Friday’s draw, it will be the seventh biggest National Lottery winner of all time.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, “What an exciting time for EuroMillions players as Friday night’s jackpot will be an incredible estimated £157M.”
To win the jackpot, a player must match all five numbers plus the two lucky stars, which will be drawn at 8.45pm on Friday.
“Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £30M for National Lottery-funded projects,” Mr Carter said.
The most recent EuroMillions jackpot was won on 10 October, when a lucky UK player took home £25,701,358.
The largest EuroMillions win ever in the UK stands at £195M jackpot, and 19 UK players have won prizes of more than £100m in its history.
In August, a ticket holder from France became the third player in 2025 to win a EuroMillions jackpot of €250m, an estimated £210m, which equalled the records set in Ireland and Austria earlier this year.
