It was just a case of getting shovels, bagging it all up and dealing with what was left behind.”
Megan said she believes the building had been left in this state for “years and years” which had caused the large and usual mushrooms and mould to grow.
A business owner at just 23-years-old, Megan has been running the company for about five years ago and was proud her achievements so far.
While it was her first biohazard job for a commercial property, Megan is hoping to continue working within the community in similar jobs and has recently partnered with the council to conduct more biohazard cleanouts.
(Image: Pro Cleaning Commercial)
Megan had initially thought of joining the police at the beginning and became involved in the industry while studying to earn some extra cash.
“It wasn’t something that I was originally wanting to do,” she said of starting the business.
“My intention was to help people and make a difference,” Megan added.
She also felt her job was “kind of like” an emergency services role, as she is often tasked with entering dangerous sites where every job comes with life-threatening risks.
Soon she is hoping to expand her business and open a training academy for biohazard cleaning and take on many larger jobs to expand her business.
Outside of the company, Megan has undertaken motivational speaking and appeared on podcasts speaking life as a young business owner in Dorset.
This website and associated newspapers adhere to the Independent Press Standards Organisation's Editors' Code of Practice.
