Now 29° Fri 32° Sat 34° by WKRC TRENTON, N.J. (WKRC) – A couple won two scratch-off lottery tickets within six months for a total of $4 million, an achievement the lottery said was 1.2 million times less likely than getting struck by a meteorite. The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, first won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket on April 1, 2025, according to a release from the New Jersey Lottery. The parents, who have two children and a third on the way, were satisfied with their winnings, but their luck hadn't faded yet. Less than six months later, the couple purchased a winning scratch-off from an Exxon gas station, receiving an additional $3 million in prizes. The New Jersey Lottery said the odds of this happening were roughly "1 in two trillion." "For comparison's sake, a player would be 1.2 million times more likely to be hit by a meteorite," the lottery wrote. The couple said they buy lottery tickets in bulk at the beginning of the month and each scratch a few after their 5-year-old and 11-month-old go to bed, making it a competition to see who can win the most. The matriarch of the family pointed to the $1 million celebration as to why the couple has a third child on the way, saying, "Maybe we celebrated a bit too much." She was reportedly five months pregnant. 2025 Sinclair, Inc.

She said: “This win is incredible. I’m not sure it’s still fully sunk in. Ms Hall treated herself to a hot tub engraved with her winning lottery numbers, saying: “I want to remind myself how lucky I have been every time I take a dip. “It’s always been who I am to try and look after others, it’s my vocation. Sometimes I get reminded by family and friends that I need to do something for myself. “So, when I found out that I’d just won the top prize on Set For Life, I knew my one treat would be a hot tub.” The deadline to enter tonight’s Set For Life draw has now finished. We will bring you the winning numbers when they are drawn. Good luck! The Lotto and Euromillions both work on a roll over basis, meaning if someone doesn’t win, the money is added to the next draw’s prize pot. But much like the National Lottery’s other fixed prize games (such as Thunderball and HotPicks), if the top prize is not won, it will not roll over. Research from Betway examined the most frequently drawn numbers in the UK Lottery to determine which ones could be the luckiest. Looking at the winning numbers between October 2015 and November 2024, Betway found that 37 is the luckiest number, having appeared 116 times on a winning ticket. Coming in second is the number 52, which has been drawn 115 times, while the numbers 39 and 58 are tied for third place, each appearing 113 times. In fourth position is number 27, followed by number 42 in fifth. Numbers 8 and 11 share the sixth spot, followed by 20 in seventh and 41 in eighth. According to the National Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize during the Set For Life draw is 1 in 12.4. You can check the results on the National Lottery app by scanning your ticket for instant results. You can also check on the website or watch draws live on the National Lottery website or YouTube channel. There are a number of unclaimed National Lottery and Euromillions winnings across the UK. These include one £100,000 winner, three £1 million winners, and one £3.6 million winner. Winners have 180 days (about six months) from the date of the draw to claim their prize. After that, the money is transferred to National Lottery-funded community projects around the UK. Getting all six balls means you will win £10,000 a month for the next 30 years. Getting the five main balls will win you £10,000 every month for a year. Getting a mix of the other balls will mean you win between £5 and £250. All you have to do is pay £1.50 and pick five numbers and one Life Ball. Alternatively, you can select the Lucky Dip option which randomly selects the numbers for you. This can be done online or in participating stores until 7.30pm tonight. Welcome to this live blog covering the Set For Life results, including the winning numbers. Contest winners from Town Square’s Ugly Sweater Bingo last year gather in their best (or worst) attire.
Contest winners from Town Square’s Ugly Sweater Bingo last year gather in their best (or worst) attire. Things will be colorful and wacky on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the November Ugly Sweater Bingo at Town Square Community Center in Green Lake. Attendees may wear their festive, ugly holiday sweaters as Town Square celebrates the holiday season. Town Square is located at 492 Hill St., Green Lake. The evening offers 13 games, speedy bingo, and a progressive blackout featuring a jackpot of $2,095 plus half of the night’s sales if bingo is called in 53 numbers or less. If there is no winner after 53 numbers, a $200 concession prize is awarded. The night also features a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. “We see new levels of creativity every year,” longtime Bingo volunteer Phil Burkart said. “From flashing lights to full-on holiday chaos, the sweaters are half the entertainment.” Concessions will be available for purchase, including hot dogs, chips, beer, and wine. Doors and concessions open at 5 p.m., card sales begin at 5:30 and games start at 6:30. Carry-ins are prohibited. Attendees may arrive early to find their preferred seats before the games begin. Minors are welcome to play bingo in Wisconsin but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bingo takes place at Town Square on the last Saturday of every month. Proceeds from the bingo games support Town Square, an award-winning community center located in the historic county courthouse buildings in the heart of downtown Green Lake. The mission of Town Square Community Center is to enrich the lives of the Green Lake community members, family and friends by providing cultural, social, recreational, educational and economic opportunities for people of all ages, while preserving its treasured historic building. American Legion Post 209 Commander Brian Avery said there will be “great prizes” given out at Jukebox Bingo. BRISTOL — American Legion Post 209’s Jukebox Bingo is back at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, but strong turnout is needed to keep it going. The event, run by Primetime Entertainment, will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church at 355 Camp St., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Proceeds support the charitable efforts of American Legion Post 209. Participants will check off squares as different songs are played. The songs will include a variety of genres. American Legion Post 209 Commander Brian Avery said there will be “great prizes” given out, which are more valuable than the cost of the entry fee. “This is a big fundraiser for American Legion Post 209, which allows us to continue to help the veterans in Bristol and surrounding communities,” Avery said. Avery described Jukebox Bingo as an affordable event that offers “great family fun.” However, Avery said good turnout is needed. “We are hoping for a big crowd,” he said. “Unfortunately, due to the increase in renting the space out at the church and the increase in prices on the items that we purchase, if we do not have a minimum of 70 to 80 people show up for this event, this will be the last time the Post will be doing jukebox bingo for the near future.” He said it will be a fun night, regardless of what happens in the future. “It is a very popular event that the community loves,” he said. “And we have regular people that come to all our Jukebox Bingo events, but we need more. We are asking all Post 209 members and anybody that has been a part of the Jukebox Bingo in the past to please attend this Jukebox Bingo. We’re looking forward to a fun, family night.” The price is $15 per card or $10 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are available at the door. People can also purchase tickets by calling Post 209 members Bruce Barton at 860-810-8168 or Bob Getz at 860-919-0305 or Avery at 860-384-5626.
