Wait staff receiving “voluntary” tips from customers can use the No-Tax-on-Tips deduction under a new federal law, but not if the business has automatically added the gratuity as a service charge on the bill, as often occurs for a large table of diners, the IRS said Friday. 
This is just one tidbit contained in proposed IRS rules identifying 70 occupations where workers customarily receive tips and clarifying the circumstances under which employees can claim a tax deduction for those tips under the recently enacted One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). 
The proposed rules will be published in the Federal Register on Sept. 22 and subject to a public hearing on Oct. 23. 
Under OBBBA, certain tipped workers can deduct up to $25,000 in qualified tip income for tax years 2025 through 2028. The deduction is available to both employees and self-employed workers, though for self-employed taxpayers the deduction cannot exceed their net income. The deduction phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $150,000.  
To claim the deduction, a worker must both be employed in an occupation on the IRS list and receive “qualified tips” under the following scenarios:

Bitcoin seems to have found support above $117,000 on Saturday after filling last week’s CME gap, while Ethereum has also stabilized around $4,400. The moves are boosted by institutional buying, with BlackRock’s combined Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows surpassing $1 billion on Friday.
As the top two cryptocurrencies remain steady, Cardano, XRP, and Pi Network are also trading near break-even today. It looks like last week’s volatility is ending as bulls reenter the market, setting the stage for a higher-time-frame uptrend continuation in the coming weeks.
But how far can these altcoins go in 2025? We asked ChatGPT to predict the prices of Cardano, XRP, and Pi Network to find out. The chatbot supported all three projects for gains but said the newly launched Bitcoin Hyper could provide the biggest returns.
Bitcoin Hyper is currently in a presale, giving investors a chance to buy at a fixed price before the exchange listing occurs. Such early-stage opportunities are rare in bull markets and can sometimes lead to substantial gains.
Cardano has outpaced most top cryptos over the past 24 hours with a 1% gain, indicating trader interest as the broader market prepares for the next upward move.
According to ChatGPT, factors like the implementation of the network’s Hydra upgrade, rising TVL of its DeFi applications, institutional-grade infrastructure, and its active developer community could enhance its bullish momentum in the months ahead.
$ADA is currently priced at $0.96, but the chatbot predicts a potential increase to between $1.2 and $1.5 in the base case, or $1.80 to $2.10 in a bullish scenario.

The biggest news for XRP is the settlement of the lawsuit between Ripple Labs (XRP’s creator) and the SEC. After nearly five years, it finally reached a definitive conclusion in August, which ChatGPT says could “reopen U.S. institutional channels” for adoption. 
It also says that additional drivers, such as a potential Ripple IPO on the U.S. stock market, partnerships with central banks for CBDC development, and expansion of RippleNet, could contribute to strong XRP price gains. 
The chatbot predicts a base case range between $4.00 and $4.50, with a bull case of $5.80–$6.50. From its current price of $3.13, this could lead to over a twofold increase.

Pi Network launched its official main network in February 2025, but after an initial surge, it began to face many adversities. It currently trades at $0.38, down 87% from its record high, but ChatGPT believes it could rally again as dApp integrations occur. 
The chatbot notes that PI is already listed on the OKX centralized exchange and that there is community anticipation for a Binance listing. It also emphasizes that Pi Network has a strong user base with over 10 million people on the mainnet. 
Looking ahead, it highlights dApp and marketplace integrations as key price drivers, which, if successful, could push $PI significantly higher.
Its base case targets between $0.65 – $0.85, while its bullish case anticipates a price range of $1.1 – $1.4. This suggests over a 3x gain from its current price.

Bitcoin Hyper is developing a Bitcoin layer 2 blockchain to offer low fees, high speeds, and smart contract support for Bitcoin. It aims to modernize the world’s most secure and valuable blockchain, a use case that could unlock billions of dollars in value if successful.
ChatGPT highlighted that Bitcoin Hyper has a technical edge over other Bitcoin scaling solutions through its use of ZK-rollups, which “preserve BTC’s security while addressing its congestion and scaling issues.”

It also notes that the project is building on the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), making it compatible with Solana and providing “instant access to established infrastructure like DEXs, NFTs, and gaming platforms.”
Because of these factors, Bitcoin Hyper is among the fastest-growing presales today, with $10 million raised so far. This indicates strong investor interest and is another bullish factor in ChatGPT’s analysis.
By combining these solid fundamentals with the project’s current discounted, early-stage price, it’s clear why ChatGPT is optimistic. The chatbot predicts $HYPER could reach a base case price of $0.55 – $0.75 and a bullish case price of $1.00 – $1.50 this year.

From its current presale price of $0.12735, this gives potential for up to an 11x gain, far surpassing the possible returns of more established altcoins like Cardano, XRP, and Pi Network.
However, with presale momentum building, investors looking to buy $HYPER should act quickly to secure their spot before the campaign ends.
