Augustans win some major money with digital lottery games – WRDW

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Two Augusta players won big prizes playing Georgia Lottery games on the mobile app.
An Augusta player won $50,000 playing Twice As Spice on Nov. 27, then an Augusta player won $16,998 playing Elephant King Jackpots on Dec. 2.
Lucky Powerball players in Georgia and South Carolina each won $1 million on Monday.
They were among players who won millions in the past few days from the Georgia Lottery.
One of the bigger winners was an Americus resident who won a $1 million top prize playing the Millionaire Maker scratcher. The ticket was purchased at Sam’s Danfair Express, 1101 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Americus.
Since it was established in 1993, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has donated proceeds from the state’s various lotteries to educational programs — and those contributions recently reached the $30 billion mark.
Also, a Powerball player matched all five white-ball numbers in the Dec. 1 drawing to win $1 million. That ticket was from the Publix at 5829 Campbellton Road in Atlanta.

Did anyone win the Powerball jackpot? See results of Dec. 3 drawing. – USA Today

The Powerball jackpot once again rose to $779 million for the Wednesday, Dec. 3, drawing after no one on Monday, Dec. 1, took home the top prize. But did someone win Wednesday night?
Fortunately, for those still hoping to get a chance to win the larger jackpot, no one won the top prize on Wednesday, and the Powerball jackpot grew to an estimated $820 million, with a cash value of $383.5 million, becoming the eighth-highest jackpot in the game’s history.
The next drawing, on Saturday, Dec. 6, could determine whether someone takes home the massive prize or if it continues to grow.
The latest jackpot comes just months after the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history, which was an estimated $1.787 billion, was won by two tickets sold in Montana and Texas on Sept. 6.
Here’s what to know about the Powerball jackpot.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 3 drawing are: 1, 14, 20, 46, 51, and the Powerball is 26. The “Power Play” multiplier is 3x.
Winning lottery numbers are sponsored byJackpocket, the official digital lottery courier of the USA TODAY Network.
No one won the Powerball jackpot, but one lucky person in Kentucky won the Match 5 + Power Play $2 million prize, and two others in California and Florida won the Match 5 $1 million prize.
To find the full list of previous Powerball winners, click the link to the lottery’s website.
The next drawing will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, just after 11 p.m. ET.
To play the Powerball, you have to buy a ticket for $2. You can do this at a variety of locations, including your local convenience store, gas station, or even grocery store. In some states, Powerball tickets can be bought online.
Once you have your ticket, you need to pick six numbers. Five of them will be white balls with numbers from 1 to 69. The red Powerball ranges from 1 to 26. People can also add a “Power Play” for $1, which increases the winning for all non-jackpot prizes.
The “Power Play” multiplier can multiply winnings by: 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.
If you are feeling unlucky or want the computer to do the work for you, the “Quick Pick” option is available, where computer-generated numbers will be printed on a Powerball ticket. To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.
Powerball drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights. If no one wins the jackpot, the cash prize will keep ticking up.
Tickets can be purchased in person at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
You can also order tickets online throughJackpocket, the official digital lottery courier of the USA TODAY Network, in these U.S. states and territories: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. The Jackpocket app lets you pick your lottery game and numbers, place your order, view your ticket, and collect your winnings — all on your phone or home computer.

Delta Bingo helps to provide holiday meals for Sudbury families – Sudbury Star

On top of support for turkey campaign, $50K was distributed to local charities
For the 29th consecutive year, Delta Bingo and Gaming Sudbury and its charitable gaming partners are helping local organizations provide Christmas turkeys and holiday meals to families across Greater Sudbury.
“Since 1996, this cherished community initiative, founded by Ray Loiselle, has helped thousands of families share a warm holiday meal together,” said Delta in a release. “To date, the program has contributed an estimated $425,000 to The Salvation Army to continue to support local families in need. The continued partnership of organizations such as Club Richelieu de Sudbury, Ten Rainbows Children’s Foundation and the Minnow Lake Lions Club ensures the initiative reaches approximately 1,200 families each Christmas.”
Delta works with the Sudbury Charities Foundation and ACT/UCT Sudbury to direct funds toward important community causes.
“This event has always been about more than providing a turkey; it’s about bringing hope and comfort to our community,” said Christina Nupponen, Charity Association coordinator. “Each year, I’m inspired by the generosity of our local charities and the difference this partnership makes in the lives of so many families. The continued support and compassion shown by our community truly captures the spirit of the holiday season.”
This year, the tradition grew even stronger. In addition to supporting the Christmas turkey campaign, ACT/UCT donated a total of $50,000 to local community groups such as Inner City Home, Better Beginnings Better Futures, Go-Give Project, Our Children Our Future, Camp Quality, House of Kin and Maison McCulloch Hospice, allowing even more local families and individuals to experience the spirit of the season.
Funds raised through Delta Bingo Sudbury’s charitable gaming partners “continue to empower our charitable groups to make a difference in the lives of thousands in our community,” the company said. “Partnered donations like these make long-standing programs possible, reflecting the lasting impact of charitable gaming in building stronger, more connected communities.”
Delta Bingo Sudbury has been proudly serving the community since 1984, helping to raise over $55 million for local charities.
