The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is taking major steps to protect its widely consumed Nandini ghee brand after a surge in counterfeit products surfaced across the state. A detailed digital traceability system is being put in place, with QR codes soon to be printed on every Nandini ghee pack to help customers confirm authenticity instantly.

The move comes shortly after Central Crime Branch (CCB) officers busted a network involved in producing and supplying fake Nandini ghee. The racket reportedly used packaging closely resembling the original brand, enabling large-scale consumer deception. Investigations are still underway, and the crackdown has prompted KMF to accelerate its safety measures.
Under the new plan, the QR code will allow customers to scan and receive complete information about the product’s journey. The digital record will show where the ghee was manufactured, from which KMF depot it was dispatched, and which retailer received the stock. This level of transparency is aimed at helping consumers immediately differentiate between genuine and fake products.
KMF’s management has stated that the system will provide direct awareness to the public, ensuring that customers no longer fall prey to deceptive packaging practices. The traceability initiative is currently in the implementation stage, with technical and procedural work progressing.

To finalise the system, KMF has already held consultations with food specialists and quality experts. The packaging revamp is expected to be completed soon, after which QR-coded ghee packs will enter the market across Karnataka.

£15million lottery jackpot yet to be claimed as winner hasn't checked – The Mirror

The search is on for a Lotto multimillionaire who has won £15million after The National Lottery’s 15 November ‘Must Be Won’ Lotto draw. The winning single ticket holder matched all six main balls with the winning numbers 09, 11, 27, 44, 48 and 52.
The winning ticket was purchased online but the winner is yet to come forward. The player will have received an email as well as a message on their online National Lottery account asking them to call and claim.
If you played Lotto’s ‘Must Be Won’ draw on 15 November and are yet to check out any notification messages or emails on your National Lottery account, you should log in and see if you are the new multi-millionaire. As the ticket was purchased online, The National Lottery will be able to make attempts to reach out to this unknowing winner in the coming days encouraging them to urgently check their online account.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “Imagine not checking your National Lottery email notifications in recent weeks, perhaps thinking it will be a smaller win – and having no idea about this incredible sum of money with your name on it.
“It’s time to take a moment to log in – that moment could be the most rewarding moment of your life. I would advise taking a seat first just in-case, it could be you.”
The lucky ticket holder has until 14 May 2026 to claim their prize however, with the winning ticket linked to an online player’s account, The National Lottery Winner’s Team will be proactively in touch to ensure the lucky winner claims their life-changing sum of money.
The £15 million jackpot win follows a bumper Autumn of big Lotto and EuroMillions wins. Two EuroMillions jackpots were won in draws a week apart with a single UK ticketholder scooping £26 million on 3 October and then another banked £25 million in the draw on 10 October. Lotto saw two giant jackpots won. The missing £10million jackpot winner was followed by a £2 million jackpot winner on 8 October.
With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk.

Euromillions winner bags £157million jackpot after scoring every winning number – dailystar.co.uk

One lucky player has scooped the Euromillions jackpot of £157 million by correctly guessing the five winning numbers and the two lucky stars following Friday's draw (November 28). The player has been identified as someone living in France, who is now hundreds of millions of pounds richer.
Since the first draw in February 2004, hundreds of EuroMillions jackpot winners have been crowned across all nine participating countries. The largest prize for Euromillions this year, a staggering £218 million, has been won three times by players from France, Ireland and Austria, but the top prize has so far eluded the UK.
The biggest UK win occurred in 2022 when an anonymous player bagged a life-altering £195,707,000. The EuroMillions jackpot reached its limit of 230 million Euros ahead of the draw on Friday 8th July, where it remained until Tuesday 19th July when one lucky ticket sold in the UK claimed the entire prize.
The winner quickly collected their money, but chose to remain anonymous. Had the jackpot not been won in this draw, a Must Be Won draw would have taken place in the subsequent draw.
This victory comes just months after Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester won £184,262,899, catapulting their net worth to a level similar to that of pop sensation Harry Styles, according to the Express. This jackpot set a new record for the biggest-ever win in the UK at the time, after skyrocketing to €215 million (£184 million) in just seven and a half weeks in the spring of 2022.
A €130 million Superdraw had been planned for late April, but it was effectively delayed as the top prize already exceeded this amount. The jackpot would have reached its €230 million cap with one more rollover, but a UK ticket holder matched all the numbers on 10th May.
The jackpot was claimed by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester. They revealed that they continued to work on the day they discovered their win, and chose to go public so as not to 'burden' others with keeping their secret.
The numbers drawn in the National Lottery EuroMillions on Friday were: 05, 29, 33, 39, 42. The lucky stars were: 03, 09.
The Millionaire Maker Selection number was also decided as XXGW96165. On top of this, Friday's National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers were: 06, 08, 11, 29, 32.
The Thunderball was 03. The next Euromillions draw will be held on Tuesday, December 2, with a reduced jackpot of £14.9 million.
