High Point woman wins big in lottery scratch-off game – WXII

A High Point woman is celebrating after winning the top prize in a North Carolina Education Lottery scratch-off game.
According to a press release, Hattie Hill won the first $200,000 top prize in the High Voltage Cash scratch-off game.
Hill claimed her prize at lottery headquarters in Raleigh on Wednesday. She took home $143,501 after state and federal tax withholdings.
The High Voltage Cash game debuted in October with four $200,000 top prizes. Three $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
According to the lottery, education programs in Guilford County received $32.4 million in support from lottery funds in 2024.
Other recent lottery winners in the Piedmont include a Wilkes County man who collected a $200,000 top prize on a Spicy Hot Riches scratch-off game, and a Winston-Salem man who won $250,000 on a 20X The Cash scratch-off game.
