A player in Cork matched five numbers and a lucky star in the EuroMillions draw, bagging the €294,048 prize.

The Lotto chiefs revealed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Sweeney’s Daybreak in Kiltegan Park, Rochestown.
The winning numbers in last night’s draw were 9, 26, 27, 45, 48 and the lucky stars were 8 and 9.
However, they were one lucky star short of bagging the eye-watering EuroMillions jackpot worth €122,611,491.
The major jackpot is set to roll again for the next EuroMillions draw, increasing the jackpot sum for the next winner.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said: “A EuroMillions player in Cork is certain to be celebrating today after matching five numbers and one lucky star in Friday night’s main EuroMillions draw to win an incredible €294,048.
“While over 55,000 players won prizes across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws, the Cork player earned themselves the title as the biggest winner of the night in Ireland.
“Today, we are encouraging all our players in Cork to check their tickets very carefully and to contact our Prize Claims team as soon as possible.”

The winner has been urged to check their clips carefully, sign them immediately and keep them safe if it’s the winning ticket.
They have been advised to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie.
They will make arrangements for the lucky winner to claim their prize at Lotto Headquarters.
In total, over 55,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus games.
There were no winners of the EuroMillions Plus jackpot prize worth €500,000, but 46 players managed to match four numbers, winning €2,000 each.
The winning numbers were 19, 30, 31, 34 and 38.
And the winning raffle numbers for the whopping €5,000 prize were revealed.
The winning raffle numbers are: I-SWH-26164, I-SWH-29741, I-SWH-40614, I-SWJ-16659, I-SWJ-25127, I-SWK-67664, I-SWM-25302, I-SWM-80999, I-SWN-05773 and I-SWN-58378.
