Lottery History Could Be Made in Louisiana Tonight – 97.3 The Dawg

(Baton Rouge, LA) The Louisiana Lottery has revealed the results of Monday night's multi-state Powerball Lottery drawing. They've also confirmed that a single-ticket jackpot win in tonight's Mega Millions would be historically significant in Louisiana.
Both Powerball and Mega Millions are nationally administered games. The Louisiana Lottery participates with other lottery jurisdictions from around the country to offer some of the most incredible jackpots in the lottery industry.

The Powerball Lottery has been on an upward trajectory since two tickets split a $1.787  billion prize in September. The Mega Millions game has been growing its jackpot since June 27th of this year. That's when a ticket sold in Virginia matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize.
Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery have confirmed that last night's Powerball drawing produced a little over 3,300 winning tickets in the state. The bulk of the winners collected either four bucks for a Powerball-only match or $8 if that made that same match but opted for the game's Power Play option. The game's jackpot prize was listed at just over $420 million.
Here is how last night's drawing for Monday, November 3, 2025, played out.
Last night's estimated Powerball jackpot at the time of the drawing was $420.9 million for the annuitized jackpot. But there were no tickets sold across the game's footprint that matched the numbers needed to claim that prize.
There were also no Match 5 Million winners sold for Monday's Powerball game either. The largest single prize awarded to a Louisiana-sold ticket was $200, and there were only two of those sold in the state.
But, there were several thousand smaller prize winners, and we know you want to see if you made your money back, so here are the Powerball numbers from Monday night.

If you think you have a match, you'll want to visit the winners' portal of the Louisiana Lottery website to confirm your ticket and your prize.
Meanwhile, tonight's Mega Millions drawing will feature an estimated annuitized jackpot prize of $800 million. The cash option, should you win and choose that, would be $371.7 million.
Mega Millions officials have confirmed that tonight's jackpot is the 9th largest in the game's history. It's also the largest jackpot prize the game has produced since it switched its format earlier this year.
There has never been a Mega Millions Jackpot winner in Louisiana. Our state's lottery players have had some big wins in the game, but so far, the "big" prize has eluded us. I guess we shouldn't feel bad. 16 other participating states haven't had a Mega Millions jackpot winner either.
Remember, under the new rules of Mega Millions, it costs $5 for a ticket, but you don't have to buy a multiplier; that's included at random on your ticket. You could see your prize multiplied by as many as 10 if you're fortunate.
Of course, you need to realize that most lottery tickets are not winners. If you feel as though you have a gambling problem, help is available. You may call 1-877-770-STOP (7867). The call and the referral to counseling are available at no cost to you or your family. Good Luck.
