Lotto booth in Birkirkara robbed – The Malta Independent Online

A lotto booth on Dun Karm Street, Birkirkara, was robbed.
The police were informed of the robbery at around 3:30 PM and went on site. Preliminary investigations revealed that a masked man, allegedly armed with a knife, reached through the window and grabbed some cash from the cashier, a 57-year-old woman.
The man fled the scene shortly after, and the police are currently searching for the thief.
A medical team assisted the woman, who was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance for observation.
Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D was informed of the case and has launched an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
