A lucky winner is walking away with $436,171 after claiming a $1 million top prize on the New York Lottery’s New York Millionaire scratch-off game.
The winning ticket was purchased by Aracelie Barfield of Alexandria, Louisiana, at Citgo Krishna Food, located at 133 Jefferson St. in Monticello.
Monticello is about 80 miles north of New York City.
The New York Millionaire scratch-off game offers multiple top prizes of $1 million. As of this writing, three top prizes remain. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4.37 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2023-2024. School districts in Sullivan County, where the winning ticket was sold, received $13.7 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.8 billion in fiscal year 2023-2024 to benefit public schools in New York State.
