Do Uterine Fibroids Impact Pregnancy? – Hackensack Meridian Health

Women with uterine fibroids may wonder and worry about how these noncancerous growths in their uterus may impact their ability to get pregnant or cause complications when they’re pregnant. “Most women with fibroids are able to get pregnant,” said Nageada Jean, M.D., an obstetrician/gynecologist at Pascack Valley Medical Center. “However, once pregnant, the fibroids could have an impact on the pregnancy.”
Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths occurring in the uterus. They are common in women of reproductive age, with the chance of developing them increasing with age until menopause. Also known as leiomyomas (lie-o-my-O-muhs) or myomas, uterine fibroids can range in size from as small as a pea to as large as a melon. They grow into the uterine cavity, within the wall of the uterus, or on the outside of the uterus. Women can have just one or many fibroids.
While we do not know exactly what causes uterine fibroids, we do know the hormones estrogen and progesterone influence their growth, Dr. Jean says. We also know certain women are more likely to develop them:
Very often, women may not know they have fibroids. It is not unusual for a woman to first learn she has uterine fibroids until after she is pregnant and she begins getting ultrasounds to track the progress of the pregnancy, Dr. Jean says. But she notes that pregnancy does not cause uterine fibroids.
Depending on where they are in the uterus, fibroids—even large ones—may not cause symptoms. Common symptoms include:
When women don’t have symptoms, doctors often recommend they be monitored with regular pelvic exams and ultrasounds.
For those with symptoms, “the treatment is based on patient symptoms, the number of fibroids and location of the fibroids,” Dr. Jean says. Recommended treatments range from medications to manage symptoms to surgical intervention to shrink or remove the fibroids, including robotic surgery for some women.
Most women with uterine fibroids can get pregnant. “Fibroids often do not have an effect on fertility,” Dr. Jean says. “Depending on where the tumors are located and the size, most women with fibroids are able to get pregnant.”
That said, it’s important for women with a known history of uterine fibroids, or a family history of them, to see their doctor for a full pelvic examination and pelvic ultrasound before getting pregnant. Even if there is no history of uterine fibroids, if a woman is thinking about getting pregnant, she should talk to her OB/GYN about fibroids even if she is asymptomatic for uterine fibroids, Dr. Jean says.
The results of a pelvic exam and ultrasound will give women and their doctors a clear understanding of the status of the uterine environment prior to pregnancy, and if fibroids are detected, there can be discussions about fibroid management and any potential interventions needed before attempting to get pregnant.
While uterine fibroids usually are not a threat to fertility, they can cause complications during pregnancy. “Women with fibroids should keep up with their routine visits, keep up with their routine scans and have a conversation with their doctor to help them have a smooth pregnancy,” Dr. Jean says.
Uterine fibroids can increase the risk of:
“Fibroids are common, and when they present during pregnancy, there is a risk of complications that may arise. However, there are many patients with fibroids who have had uneventful pregnancies,” Dr. Jean says. “With the number of years that we’ve treated patients with fibroids and pregnancy, and with the new technologies and treatments available, it is more possible for patients to have uneventful pregnancies right now.”

Experts Back These 3 Cryptos To Outperform Ripple (XRP) Price In Q4 – CoinCentral

Ripple’s ongoing battle for regulatory clarity has kept investors watching, but analysts are questioning whether the XRP price can deliver in Q4. While Ripple remains a long-term contender in payments, experts are pointing to three other projects — Sui, Polkadot, and Layer Brett — as the cryptos more likely to outperform in the coming months.
Despite court victories and banking partnerships, Ripple has struggled to shake its ceiling. The XRP price has hovered around $0.53–$0.55, unable to mount the rally traders were hoping for. For institutions, XRP’s utility in cross-border settlements is clear. But for retail investors, the lack of movement makes it less appealing compared with rivals offering momentum.
With billions in circulation and a top-10 market cap, XRP has become more of a steady asset than a growth rocket. That appeals to some, but others see it as limiting compared to coins with higher upside.

Sui has been climbing quickly, with its Move programming language sparking developer interest. Currently trading near $1.10, SUI has seen volumes above $350 million this week. With DeFi and gaming projects launching, Sui is cementing itself as a real competitor to Solana and other high-speed chains.
The biggest draw for traders is growth potential. With a market cap below $3 billion, SUI could deliver multiples that XRP simply can’t. That’s why many list it among the strongest contenders to outperform the XRP price in Q4.
Polkadot is back in the conversation as multi-chain demand grows. DOT currently trades near $6.30, with a market cap of $8.6 billion. Its parachain model and emphasis on interoperability keep it unique among top projects.
While adoption has been slower than some hoped, DOT remains a key infrastructure play. With renewed developer activity, Polkadot is showing signs of recovery that could make it one of the strongest altcoins in Q4.

The real wildcard is Layer Brett. Unlike Ripple, Sui, or Polkadot, it’s early-stage and trading at presale — where the biggest gains often emerge. Built as an Ethereum Layer 2, it offers faster and cheaper transactions than ETH while layering meme coin culture on top.
The presale has already attracted almost $4 million, with tokens at just $0.0058. Early participants are still earning APYs above 650%, though rewards tighten daily as wallets stake. Beyond staking, $LBRETT is rolling out NFT integrations, gamified rewards, cross-chain bridging, and a $1 million giveaway.
Community growth adds fuel. Its Telegram has passed 26,000 members, X followers are over 14,000, and engagement rises daily. Experts say this kind of momentum is exactly what drives viral adoption — something Ripple lacks, and what SUI and DOT are still trying to capture.
Ripple may remain a backbone for payments, but in terms of price action, experts say it’s Sui, Polkadot, and especially Layer Brett that could steal the show in Q4.
Ripple stays steady, but SUI, DOT, and Layer Brett are where traders see breakout potential. With almost $4m raised, 40k+ on social media channels, and APYs still in the hundreds of percent, $LBRETT looks like the kind of early entry people regret missing.

Key Points
Google Cloud's new blockchain looks a lot like Ripple's XRP Ledger.
Alphabet‘s (GOOG 1.27%) (GOOGL 1.23%) Google recently unveiled its Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL), which has a lot in common with Ripple Labs’ XRP (XRP -0.45%) Ledger (XRPL). Both blockchains provide faster, cheaper, and more secure financial transactions than traditional SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) transfers, and they both support cross-border transfers, automated payments, integrations with third-party digital wallets, and tokenized assets.
That announcement might alarm Ripple’s users and XRP’s investors, but is Google really trying to kill XRP? Let’s review the key similarities and differences to find out.
GCUL and XRPL are both designed to facilitate faster financial transactions, but there are three key differences.
First, GCUL is a centralized private platform that is only open to vetted and approved institutions. It’s geared toward regulatory compliance, stability, and institutional control, with Google Cloud initially managing its governance and infrastructure services.
XRPL is a decentralized public platform that anyone can access. Its validators are spread out across the world instead of being corralled within a single company. That can be a double-edged sword: It can be more freely accessed than GCUL, but the lack of a vetting and approval process exposes it to more illegal transactions.
Second, GCUL doesn’t have its own native token. XRPL has a native token, XRP, which is mainly used to satisfy its settlements, fees, and reserve requirements. XRPL’s fees are low, but its fees rise as its network activity increases. GCUL charges predictable monthly fees instead of relying on volatile fees driven by the blockchain system’s “tokenomics.”
XRPL also has its own native stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD -0.02%), which is pegged to the U.S. dollar. Both Ripple USD and XRP are frequently used for bridge currency transfers — in which two volatile or illiquid currencies are directly converted to the native token as a “bridge” instead of being converted to a third fiat currency (like the U.S. dollar) in a slower and pricier transaction. Without its own tokens, GCUL will likely underperform XRPL in those bridge currency transfers.
Lastly, GCUL natively supports smart contracts, which are used in the development of blockchain-based applications. XRPL only natively supports lightweight “hooks” for developing simpler programs, but it’s reportedly been mulling the development of “sidechains” to integrate more Ethereum (ETH 0.58%)-based smart contracts into its ledger.
Google’s GCUL could be an appealing option for larger banks, clearinghouses, and asset managers who prefer a tightly regulated platform with predictable fees. It could also be a natural fit for large enterprise customers that are already locked into Google’s cloud-based services.
However, XRPL’s decentralized approach, resistance to regulators, and lower fees should make it more appealing to individual users and smaller financial institutions who don’t want to lock themselves into Google’s ecosystem. Google is also approving GCUL’s customers on a strict case-by-case basis, which could drive more customers to XRPL due to the sluggish process.
Moreover, Google doesn’t plan to officially launch GCUL until 2026. Before that happens, a few major catalysts could spark XRPL’s near-term expansion: the increased adoption of Ripple USD as an alternative to the U.S. dollar; the approvals of XRP’s first spot price exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in October and November, and the rollout of more sidechains to support the development of decentralized apps (dApps) and other crypto assets.
XRPL has already partnered with more than 300 banks worldwide, so there could plenty of room for both of these blockchains to flourish without trampling each other. XRPL and GCUL certainly have plenty of overlapping interests, but it’s premature to call the latter — or any other newcomer — an “XRP killer” before it even launches.

XRP Price Prediction: Can Ripple Hit $3.66 In Altcoin Season? – BlockchainReporter

The crypto market is buzzing as altcoins lead the charge. XRP is back in focus with traders debating its next move. At the same time, MAGACOIN FINANCE is being called one of the best altcoins to buy in this cycle, with analysts naming it a hidden gem for this altcoin season.
XRP price prediction talks have heated up as the coin tries to reclaim the $3.66 level it briefly touched in July. The altcoin season index hitting 71/100 confirms that most altcoins are outperforming Bitcoin, and XRP has been a key part of this rally.
Despite dropping to $2.69 after a 25% correction, analysts are now eyeing $5 as the next milestone.
Whales appear to be buying at the dip, hinting at renewed confidence in XRP’s long-term path. Market watchers have mapped out potential upside targets at $4.16, $4.63, and $5.39.
With Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano also outpacing Bitcoin, the stage seems set for another push higher. For XRP holders, the next few weeks could be critical as the coin tests whether it can turn the $3 area into a new base before a stronger rally unfolds.
Analyst Matt Hughes recently reaffirmed his bullish stance. He reminded the XRP community that the coin is “still going to the moon after it’s done testing your patience.”
He highlights $3 as the “final boss” resistance level. XRP briefly climbed above $3.18 before sliding back, but Hughes believes that once this zone flips into support, the setup will be in place for a parabolic move.
Some predictions stretch as far as $26 by the end of the cycle, though more conservative analysts see XRP rising to between $9 and $11 in the coming year.
Either way, the overall sentiment around XRP price prediction remains bullish. Investors are watching closely as XRP trades near $3.03, looking for signs of a decisive breakout.
The altcoin season index printing 71/100 signals a shift in capital flows, with funds rotating away from Bitcoin and into higher-beta altcoins like Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, and XRP. Ethereum climbed 10% to $4,724 this week, while Cardano added 12% to $0.92. XRP itself gained 10% to $3.07, outpacing Bitcoin’s smaller 4% move.
This trend has fueled broader optimism around XRP price prediction, especially as liquidity and volumes continue to rotate into altcoins.
Analysts agree that this environment favors coins like XRP, which already have high liquidity and large community support. If this rotation continues, XRP’s chances of reclaiming $3.66 and aiming toward $5 improve.
As traders look for the best altcoin to buy alongside XRP, many analysts are pointing to MAGACOIN FINANCE as a hidden gem. Priced under $0.0005, this undervalued pick has the setup to cancel two zeros faster than XRP can reach $10, rewarding early buyers at a higher rate.
Analysts stress its legitimacy and security-first design, calling it one of the safest plays in this cycle.
For those seeking stronger price predictions during altcoin season, MAGACOIN FINANCE is being compared with top movers, with the advantage of early entry before listings.
XRP price prediction is once again in the spotlight, with analysts watching the $3 zone closely as altcoin season heats up. Traders who want exposure to top altcoins should keep an eye on XRP’s next breakout attempt, while also considering undervalued picks like MAGACOIN FINANCE. With altseason confirmed, this is the moment to act—before the next wave of gains fully takes off. Learn more:
