Tonight’s wining numbers have been announced
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it’s investigating the financials of Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, ‘The A Word’, which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
An estimated £157 million is on offer in the EuroMillions jackpot tonight, a win which would be the biggest for any UK player this year.
Friday night’s Euromillions numbers have been announced as: 5, 29, 33, 39, and 42. The Lucky Stars are: 3, and 9.
Friday’s winning numbers for the Thunderball draw are: 6, 8, 11, 29, 32. The Thunderball is: 3.
It comes after the jackpot rolled over on Tuesday, with nobody matching the winning combination of 6, 11, 17, 35, and 44, and the lucky stars 3 and 7.
If someone in the UK matches all seven numbers in tonight’s draw, it will be the seventh biggest National Lottery winner of all time.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, “What an exciting time for EuroMillions players as Friday night’s jackpot will be an incredible estimated £157M.
“Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £30M for National Lottery-funded projects,” Mr Carter said.
The most recent EuroMillions jackpot was won on 10 October, when a lucky UK player took home £25,701,358.
The largest EuroMillions win ever in the UK stands at £195M jackpot, and 19 UK players have won prizes of more than £100m in its history.
In August, a ticket holder from France became the third player in 2025 to win a EuroMillions jackpot of €250m, an estimated £210m, which equalled the records set in Ireland and Austria earlier this year.

Thank you to our Local Business Sponsor:
CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Lottery says the second-largest Powerball jackpot of the year should grow to $719 million by the time the drawing is held on Saturday night.
No one has won for 36 consecutive drawings since the $1.8 billion jackpot in early September.
“What better way to close out the Thanksgiving and Black Friday weekend than with a chance to win this $700 million-plus Powerball jackpot,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “Imagine the amount of online shopping you could do for Cyber Monday if you won this prize. Our sales have been building momentum as this jackpot has grown over the past several weeks, with both retailers and NH iLottery reporting strong sales.”
The one-time cash payout is expected to be $333.3 million before taxes.
McIntyre added: “Just remember, it only takes one to win, so visit your local retailer or NH iLottery to buy your tickets for a chance to be our next big New Hampshire winner.”
Powerball drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights, and tickets can be purchased online as well as at more than 1,200 retail outlets around the Granite State.

The Swedish government promised on Friday to fight the sale of childlike sex dolls online after instances of such commerce had been reported earlier in the country. “I think I react on behalf of all parents when I say that, as a mother, your heart really breaks watching these images and pictures of these dolls," Sweden’s Minister for Social Services, Camilla Waltersson Grönvall, told The Associated Press. The Swedish government wants “to make sure these products cannot any more be sold and bought anywhere,” she said.
