TEXAS – A Texas Powerball player isn't a multi-millionaire after Monday's drawing, but they're still a sight richer. 
The player got four of five numbers correct, the Powerball number, and even walked away with a Power Play multiplier. 
What we know:
The buyer matched four of the winning numbers, which were 3, 32, 40, 43 and 57. They also hit the Powerball of 18. 
With a Power Play multiplier of x2, the winner pocketed $100,000 in total.
If they'd hit the final number as well, they'd have been the sole winner of the $419 million jackpot.

Two Powerball tickets in Missouri and Texas matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s drawing to split a $1.8 billion jackpot.
There were a total of 29,976 Texas winners in Monday's drawing, the Texas Lottery said.

Elizabeth Kielty, who works in the transportation service industry, received a gift from a customer as a tip for great service — a Lotto Max free play ticket.
Kielty, who has been playing the lottery with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. for decades, had never won big — until now.
“I set the ticket aside and completely forgot about it,” Kielty recounted while claiming her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
It wasn’t until several weeks later that she remembered the ticket, so she went to the store to redeem the free play tip and got another Lotto Max ticket for the Aug. 13, 2024 draw.
The woman went back to the Petro-Canada on Burnhamthorpe Rd. to check her tickets a few days later and received the surprise of her life.
“When I had my ticket that came from the ‘tip’ validated, the lottery terminal froze, and the clerk told me my ticket was a big winner,” she recalled.
“I remained calm and collected — but I was in disbelief,” she continued. “A representative from OLG called the store, and I said, ‘Are you sure I won? I think you made a mistake!’”
Kielty said she “spent the next 24 hours trying to understand how I’d won this prize. I was convinced there had been an error somewhere.”
She said realization only occurred in the middle of the night when she saw the details of her winning ticket posted on the OLG website.
“Clearly, I’m an evidence-based person,” she said with a laugh.
Kielty plans to upgrade her vehicle and invest the rest of her winnings while she determines her next move.
“I never expected something like this to happen to me,” she said. “It’s very surprising, but I’ll take it!”

The lottery frenzy is still spiking as the Mega Millions jackpot inches closer to a billion. The Mega Millions grand prize is growing quickly and is now tied for the eighth-largest Mega Millions jackpot of all time.
Some players are hoping a $5 Mega Millions ticket will make them a multimillionaire. Because, as they say in the lottery business, “it could happen to you.”
After no one matched all five numbers plus the Mega Ball in the Halloween Mega Millions drawing for $754 million on Friday, Oct. 31, the jackpot rocketed to $800 million with a cash option of $371.7 million for this Tuesday’s drawing.

Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days (six months) from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, a winner has within the first 60 days after the applicable draw date to claim it.
The odds of winning are pretty low. According to the Mega Millions site, players have a 1 in 290,472,336 chance to match all five white balls plus the gold Mega Ball.
According to Florida Lottery’s website, winners cannot remain anonymous: “Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide records containing information such as the winner’s name, city of residence; game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information.”
However, the site states, the “names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.”
Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.
As of Nov. 4, 2025, these are the largest Mega Millions prizes in the history of the game, according to megamillions.com.
As of Nov. 4, 2025, there have been 13 lottery jackpots that have reached or surpassed $1 billion. Only once has a jackpot surpassed $2 billion. These are the biggest lottery jackpots in U.S. history.
