A solo miner earned about 3.15 Bitcoin for mining the network’s 924,569th block on Friday, securing $266,000 worth of the asset, despite only having a sliver of a chance.
The individual, who onlookers believe was using a machine that’s designed for hobbyists, had a less than 1 in 100,000 chance per day of earning the reward, according to data from CKPool, a website that provides resources for people to mine Bitcoin on their own. The miner ultimately received 3.146 BTC, which includes the 3.125 BTC reward plus fees.
Some companies use massive amounts of computational resources to mine Bitcoin, but the individual that earned the payday on Friday was using a machine with a hash rate of around 1.2 terahash per second, or TH/s, resembling a Bitaxe Gamma—a compact, hobbyist machine that sells for about $100 or less.
The device that mined block 924569 appears to be a Bitaxe Gamma at 1.2TH/s. 🚀 pic.twitter.com/x8fOh7ESP6
— Solosatoshi.com 🇺🇲 (@SoloSatoshi) November 21, 2025

In April, when a solo miner mined a block using a 1.2 TH/s machine, it was estimated that a machine like that would have a 0.00068390% chance per day of mining a block.
Unless a solo miner comes forward to identify themself, it’s ultimately impossible to know what machine they used, Bitcoin miner retailer Solo Satoshi noted on X in October.
Most entities mining Bitcoin use so-called pools, where their computational resources are combined with others, but solo miners take matters into their own hands.
“Another block for the plebs,” an account that goes by Bee Evolved said on X. “Stop telling yourself it can’t be yours, this is living proof that you can do it.”
This year, there’s been an uptick in the number of solo miners that have beaten the odds, but experts still compare the process of mining Bitcoin individually to playing the lottery.
Although CKPool (which isn’t actually a mining pool) has been responsible for a number of blocks mined by solo miners this year, a winner has been crowned only 13 times, meaning that the lucrative instances occur a little over once a month, according to Mempool Space.
Bitcoin miners compete using machines that constantly crunch complex calculations, in a race to find a “nonce,” also known as a “number used once.” As part of Bitcoin’s proof-of-work consensus mechanism, payouts come in the form of newly minted Bitcoin.
Some individuals are motivated by the prospect of a payday, but by contributing to the network’s security, Bitcoin’s backers say that solo miners also improve the network’s overall decentralization.

Mega Millions winning numbers for November 21. Did anyone win the $60 million jackpot? – Lohud

This could be your lucky day. You could be the next Mega Millions lottery jackpot winner.
This jackpot was an estimated $60 million for Friday night’s drawing, according to the Mega Millions website.
The last jackpot was won on November 14, a single winner from Georgia won a $980 million jackpot.
The numbers will be listed below when they’re drawn.
The winning numbers for November 21, 2025 will be listed here when they’re available.
This will be determined later.
To view the list of past winners, visit the Mega Millions website.
After tonight, the next Mega Millions drawing is Tuesday, November 25. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday.
In New York, in-store and online ticket sales are available until 10 p.m. on the night of the draw. Mega Millions costs $5 to play. In New Jersey and Connecticut you can purchase a ticket until 10:45 p.m. the night of the draw.
The new multiplier increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five or 10 times. The cost of the new multiplier is included in the $5 cost of a ticket. The multiplier value — either 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x — will be randomly selected and printed on the ticket next to each play. This feature replaces the Megaplier, which has been retired.
Match 5 white balls + gold Mega Ball = Jackpot.
Match 5 white balls = $2 million, $3 million, $4 million, $5 million or $10 million.
Match 4 white balls + gold Mega Ball = $20,000, $30,000, $40,000, $50,000 or $100,000.
Match 4 white balls = $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500 or $5,000.
Match 3 white balls + gold Mega Ball = $400, $600, $800, $1,000 or $2,000.
Match 3 white balls = $20, $30, $40, $50 or $100.
Match 2 white balls + gold Mega Ball = $20, $30, $40, $50 or $100.
Match 1 white ball + gold Mega Ball = $14, $21, $28, $35 or $70.
Match 1 gold Mega Ball = $10, $15, $20, $25 or $50.
The odds of matching the five white balls and Mega Ball to win the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336.
A jackpot winner has the option of taking an annuity or cash payment.
The annuity is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, according to the Mega Millions website. Each payment is 5% bigger than the previous one.
“This helps protect winners’ lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation,” according to the Mega Millions website.
The cash option is a one-time, lump-sum payment that is equal to all the cash in the Mega Millions jackpot prize pool.
If two or more people win the jackpot in the same drawing, the money is shared equally among all winning tickets.
In order to purchase a ticket, you’ll have to visit your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store — and in a handful of states, you can purchase tickets online.
To play, you will need to pick six numbers. Five numbers will be white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 24.
If you believe the odds are against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick,” the computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

XLM Price Might Not Fall Below $0.30 — Here's Why – BeInCrypto

Written by
Ananda Banerjee
Edited by
Harsh Notariya
Stellar (XLM) has spent the past month in decline, dropping 14.7% as broader market sentiment weakened. Over the past week, though, the XLM price has traded mostly flat — hinting that the correction could be nearing an end.
A few key on-chain and technical indicators now suggest that XLM’s buyer-seller standoff might soon break in favor of the bulls. Read on to know how!
On the daily chart, XLM trades inside a symmetrical triangle — a pattern that forms when buyers and sellers are evenly matched. It reflects indecision, where lower highs and higher lows compress price into a tighter range before a breakout.
The current pattern shows that both the upper and lower trendlines of the triangle have just two touchpoints each, making the structure relatively weak on both sides. This setup suggests that a breakout could occur with the slightest push, whether from buyers or sellers.
Because neither side has established firm control, even a short burst of momentum could decide the next direction. The formation captures a true buyer-seller stalemate, where each minor price swing tests conviction but fails to confirm a clear trend. In short, the next breakout may depend on which side acts first, not necessarily which side is stronger.

The setup comes after a three-month decline of over 19%, so even a modest rebound could mark the start of a larger recovery phase if momentum builds.
The Wyckoff Volume Chart — which tracks buying and selling dominance through color-coded bars — supports this reading. The yellow bars, representing selling activity, have been steadily shrinking since yesterday. This reduction shows that sellers are gradually stepping back while buyers begin to absorb available supply.
Interestingly, a similar pattern appeared between October 17 and 18, when reduced selling volume preceded a 15.1% XLM price rise soon after. The same structure now seems to be re-forming, reinforcing the idea that downside exhaustion is near. However, for a complete confirmation of seller-specific weakness, blue or green bars need to show up.
Zooming into the chart, the XLM price continues to respect the triangle’s lower trendline, indicating that $0.30 remains a strong support level. If prices hold above $0.30, this level, a move toward $0.33 is likely, completing a 7.8% recovery.
Breaking above $0.33 could open the path to $0.35 and eventually $0.39. Do note that while a push past $0.33 breaks the triangle’s upper trendline, it is already considered equally weak, as the line has only two touchpoints.
That shows, if the XLM price peaks, breaking on the upside could be easier than breaking down.
However, if XLM loses $0.30, the next key support lies near $0.28. However, breaking $0.30 would mean a trendline breakdown, and that could push the XLM price lower.
For now, fading Wyckoff selling signals and a steady base near $0.30 show optimism. That means buyers might finally be regaining control of the Stellar (XLM) price structure, provided the market conditions do not worsen.

Dinner and a Play
People in the Kenyon area have the opportunity to support the K-W band program and then encourage the middle school theater group on Friday, Nov. 21.
The band benefit dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kenyon VFW. This year’s menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, baked apples and coleslaw. Tickets are $11 for adults and $7 for children ages 6 to 11.
The money generated from this event has enabled the purchase of special music and instruments, opportunities for guest artists and composers to work with students, and support for special events. The funds are used at all levels of the band program, from the beginning fifth graders to the high school concert band.
The music program at K-W is second to none, and this dinner allows the community to show its appreciation to three dedicated music teachers.
After the dinner, attendees can see the production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” in the K-W School auditorium. The play starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
St. Michael’s Bingo
The annual St. Michael’s Turkey Bingo party is scheduled for Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. in the guild hall.
Attendees have a chance to win turkeys, hams or cash prizes. A quilt raffle, bottle raffles and a silent auction of baskets will also be part of the evening.
This is a family event, and the funds raised will support the mission of St. Michael’s Church.
Grand View Lodge
Grandview Lodge in Nisswa, with Twin Cities Live co-host Elizabeth Ries, hosted a “They Hunt. We Gather.” event the weekend of Nov. 8. The event turns hunting season into a celebration for women, allowing them to relax, recharge and start a new tradition.
On Monday’s Twin Cities Live opening segment, Ries talked about her weekend with 70 women. She gave a shout-out to Kenyon and spoke about four high school friends who grew up on farms and decided to attend. Those four friends, seen in a brief glimpse during one segment, are Corinne Flom Schatzley, Collen Flom Johnson, Pam Mattson Donkers and Krissa Geyer Holt.
St. John’s of Wheeling
St. John’s UCC of Wheeling Township is hosting an authentic German Christmas dinner and concert on Saturday, Dec. 6. Only 100 tickets will be sold for $40 each.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for viewing the nativity display. Seating for a formal four-course dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m. The menu includes cranberry mocktails with cheese appetizers, vegetable soup and bread, Rendegulasch (a beef dish simmered in onions with gravy), Spaetzie (German noodles) and carrots, and bread pudding with vanilla sauce. Ingredients will be locally sourced where possible.
Following the dinner, a concert will feature the musical talents of Matthew and Kacie Bauer, who will play piano, guitar, mouth organ, organ and vocals.
To purchase tickets, contact Sarah at 507-210-2673 or Barb at 507-581-9909 after 5 p.m.
Fall concert
The K-W Middle School band and choir concert was performed before a packed auditorium.
The fifth-grade band opened the program, playing short pieces such as “Hot Cross Buns” and “Go Tell Aunt Rhody,” and finished with the “K-W Rouser” and “Let’s Go Band.” Featured soloists were Natalie Bauer, clarinet; Henry Skillstad, trombone; and Adrian Moreno and Jack Priebe, saxophone.
The sixth-grade band displayed the additional notes they have learned since last year. In “Rebound,” the percussion section was joined by a group of middle school basketball players bouncing basketballs.
The seventh- and eighth-grade band performed “Crazy Train,” “Tripwire” and “Falcon Fanfare.”
Choral Director Hannah Johnson introduced the fifth-grade choir, which has been working on singing with a big sound. The sixth-grade choir has been working on two-part singing, and their first song, “Cup Song,” was sung a cappella. The seventh- and eighth-grade choir demonstrated three-part singing and performed “Fly Me to the Moon.”
Before each choir sang, Johnson shared with the audience the skills the students were learning, which they must master before becoming members of the K-W Chorale.
Edmund Fitzgerald
The crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald was remembered on the 49th anniversary of the sinking of the Great Lakes freighter on Nov. 10.
Hayes Scriven, lighthouse keeper at Split Rock Lighthouse, was interviewed on the Minnesota Live program on Channel 5 about the remembrance events at Split Rock.
The Minnesota Historical Society held a ceremony that began in the late afternoon. The reading of the 29 crew members’ names, with the tolling of the ship’s bell after each name and a 30th toll for all others lost on the lake, was a primary focus.
Among the 2,000 people in attendance were Rich and Kris Kincaid, along with their daughters, Kelsey and Kayla. When crew member Bruce Hudson’s name was called, Rich stepped forward to ring the bell in his honor. Hudson was Rich’s cousin.
Hudson was a 22-year-old deckhand on the Fitzgerald, a member of the United States Merchant Marine and a native of North Olmsted, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Before working on the Fitzgerald, he had worked on the Ashland as an oiler. Hudson had made plans to return to Ohio State University in January 1976 to continue his studies in communication and journalism. At North Olmsted High School, an annual student grant has been given in Bruce Hudson’s name to a student with a passion for music.
