MINSTER, Ohio (WKRC) – Nancy never imagined that accidentally hitting the wrong button at a self-serve kiosk would lead to a major win.
The accident led to an unexpected TV debut that resulted in a $7,500 win and the Ticket Jackpot in the first round, according to an Ohio Lottery press release.
Although she didn't secure a spot in the Cash Challenge, Nancy seized the opportunity in the Second Chance Cash Challenge, winning $50,000 when her name appeared three times.
Once home, she scratched off $1,000 worth of Win It All tickets, adding another $785 to her total winnings.
Nancy and her husband said they plan to use their windfall to build an addition on their home, creating the first-floor owner's suite of their dreams.

Just hours before Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, the jackpot has inched even closer to $1 billion.
The Mega Millions jackpot is now at $980 million as of 1 p.m. on Nov. 14, with an estimated cash value of $445.3 million. It’s the eighth largest jackpot in game history.
The drawing on Friday night will be the game’s 40th since the jackpot was last won in June. At the time, it was worth $348 million and the winning ticket was sold in Virginia.
This $980 million jackpot is the game’s largest since December 2024, when a $1.269 billion jackpot was won on a ticket sold in California.
The drawing for the $980 million prize will be held at 11 p.m. on Nov. 7. Players can buy tickets at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers across the state until 10:45 p.m. on Friday.
Mega Millions tickets cost $5 each and players must choose five numbers between 1-70, and one Mega Ball number between 1-24. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday.
