Francisco News: Bingo upcoming, share with your neighbors – thestokesnews.com

Come on out to the Francisco Community Building Saturday November 15 for some Cash Bingo fun. Food will be ready at 6 p.m. and the games start at 7 p.m.. The cost is $20 for 20 games and if you bring 5 cans of food to help our neighbors at the Northern Stokes Food Pantry, you will receive 2 extra door prize tickets. Everyone is invited to come out. This Bingo is sponsored by the Francisco Ruritans.
And speaking of the Northern Stokes Food Pantry, they were featured on a special segment of WXII Channel 12 News. Shelia Kamenski and Kathryn Converse spoke of the issues they are having due to the government shutdown. Although donations from other entities have been slim the Pantry welcomed the almost 1,000 pounds of food donated by the wonderful Sandy Ridge Ruritans. And Bagel Boss in King has also been a contributor of wonderful bagels to the food pantry.

It’s sad that communities across the country must have food pantries for the residents to have what they need, but we see communities come together to help each other and my gosh, isn’t that what we are supposed to do? If you see a need, please help. We are going into the Thanksgiving season here shortly. Please donate to organizations such as the Northern Stokes Food Pantry. Help our neighbors.

Gilmore Girls Bingo launches in downtown Geneva: A cozy, Shop Local challenge with major prizes – dailyherald.com

Downtown Geneva just became Stars Hollow-approved. A new community shopping challenge, Gilmore Girls Bingo, has launched, inviting residents and visitors to shop, dine, sip coffee, and support local merchants — all while competing to win big.
The game, created by Kristen Cornelio, owner of the Tri-Cities-based social media and marketing agency Kristen Holly, LLC, is designed to highlight and reintroduce the incredible variety of restaurants, boutiques, cafes, salons, bookstores, and small businesses throughout downtown Geneva.
“Gilmore Girls represents cozy community, connection, coffee, and supporting the places that feel like home. That is exactly what downtown Geneva is,” Cornelio said. “This bingo game makes discovering our local businesses in an engaging way — and rewards you for doing it.”
How it works
Participants can pick up a Gilmore Girls Bingo card at any participating business and start checking off squares themed around creating their own Gilmore Girls experience in Geneva — such as ordering coffee at a local cafe, browsing a bookstore, getting a jump start on holiday shopping, or treating themselves to a fall fashion item.
• Shop, dine, get pampered, or post about a local business
• Collect signatures as you complete squares
• Each completed Bingo = 1 raffle entry
• More Bingos = more chances to win
Completed bingo cards must be turned in by Sunday, Nov. 24, to any of the following businesses: Bee Coco Candle, 308 W. State St.; Cravings, 113 W. State St.; Grow Geneva, 220 S. Third St.; Nash Beauty Salon, 27 N. Second St., Suite 102; Pärla, 122 Hamilton St.; and House of 423, 219 W. State St.
Each turn-in location has its own gift basket giveaway, adding even more opportunities to win.
One participant will win the ultimate Gilmore Girls giveaway, a signed “Gilmore Girls” script, a custom “I Smell Snow” necklace designed by State Street Jewelers; and a grand prize gift basket items valued at $1,000.
Bonus Charity Raffle Entry
In true Stars Hollow spirit, giving back earns you extra luck. Participants who donate $5 or more to Rising Lights Project — a local nonprofit focused on inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities — receive an additional raffle entry. Simply scan the QR code on the bingo card to donate.
“Small businesses are the heartbeat of Geneva,” Cornelio added. “Every purchase, every coffee, every restaurant, boutique, and specialty merchants visit helps keep our downtown vibrant and thriving. This bingo game is a reminder that where we spend our dollars matters.”
About Kristen Holly, LLC
Kristen Holly, LLC is a Geneva-based social media and marketing agency specializing in community-driven campaigns for small businesses. Owner Kristen Cornelio partners with dozens of local merchants, restaurants, and organizations to strengthen visibility, drive foot traffic, and build meaningful connections with the community.

Pick up a bingo card, get out into downtown Geneva, and embrace your inner Lorelai or Rory.
Because around here … supporting small business is always in season.

Big Night for Louisiana Lottery Players – Big Wins Confirmed – 97.3 The Dawg

(KMDL-FM) The check-writing machines at the Louisiana Lottery offices were primed and ready for a big Wednesday night. Wednesdays are a big lottery night in Louisiana. Not only does our state participate in the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing. We have two big drawings of our own, Lotto and Easy 5, that take place on Wednesdays as well. And we've got good news, there were several big wins in Louisiana in last night's lottery drawing.
The two lottery games that garner the most attention in Louisiana and around the nation, for that matter, are Powerball and Mega Millions. Right now, Mega Millions is getting most of the media attention since the jackpot in that game is approaching $1 billion, yes, with a "b", dollars. Friday's drawing in Mega Millions will be for an estimated top prize of $965 million.
Powerball is a little over half that amount, with a top prize in last night's game estimated to be $515.7 million when the balls dropped from the hopper. If you did not get the opportunity to see that drawing, we have that for you.
READ MORE: Louisiana's Mega Millions Wins Confirmed on Tuesday Night
READ MORE: What Could You Buy if You Won the Record Mega Millions Jackpot?
Here is the Powerball drawing for Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
The first question we always get about Powerball is "Did anyone win it?" and in this case, the answer is no. There were winners, several big winners in fact, but no ticket sold across the Powerball footprint matched the numbers needed to earn the $515.7 million top prize.
In reviewing the winner data provided by our sources at Powerball, we can see that there were two Match 5 Million winners. Those tickets that matched all of the white balls but not the red Powerball were sold in New Jersey and Virginia.
As far as Louisiana Powerball winners go, there were just under 5,000 tickets sold in the state that can be declared winners. By winners, we mean they returned money to their purchasers. However, the largest single prize won by a Louisiana Powerball ticket was just $200. There were only seven of those sold for Wednesday's game.
If you'd like to check your numbers from Wednesday night, here are your Powerball numbers for November 12, 2025.
29   39   43   51   65   Powerball 23    Power Play "x2"
According to the Louisiana Lottery, 3,190 players doubled their money in Wednesday's game, while another 1,789 players quadrupled their investment by opting for the game's Power Play feature.
The other big lottery game that the Louisiana Lottery focused on for Wednesday night was Lotto. That game continues to surprise me. I cannot recall in recent history when that jackpot climbed above $3 million. Well, it has, and it's been there for a while.
On Wednesday in Louisiana, the Louisiana Lottery drew for a jackpot of $3.625 million in the Lotto game. There was no ticket that matched the six numbers needed to win the game's jackpot prize.  Eight tickets matched five out of six, and those tickets earned a prize of $1,000 each.
In Easy 5, the third big lottery game of Wednesday night, the jackpot prize was listed at $190,000, but no tickets matched the five numbers needed to win that prize. There were 21 tickets sold for last night's Easy 5 that matched four of five and earned a prize of $100.
Thursday is kind of a down day for the lottery; there are drawings in the daily games, but the real fireworks will come out on Friday night when Mega Millions attempts to find a jackpot winner of almost $1 billion.
Please remember that lottery games do involve a significant risk of losing money. If you have a gambling problem, help is available by calling 1-877-770-STOP (7867). The call and the referral to counseling are free for you and your family. Good Luck.

Trump Embracing Immigrants Was Not on Our Bingo Card – LEVEL Man

With sharp words and reckless reversals, Trump signals that America's only hope may lie in embracing a multicultural future.
It’s been a long time coming.
And Trump’s pronouncements on H-1B visas has his core supporters, choking on their morning cereal.
But to the rest of us, it isn’t at all surprising.
America has lost quite handily to China and this is due to a multiplicity of reasons: its currency is massively overinflated; its internal cohesion is weaker than it has ever been and its crumbling infrastructure isn’t in any position to compete with its biggest rival.
And in the course of twelve months, we have seen the American president flipflop on nearly every policy announcement from tariffs on Chinese goods to immigrant visas.
To leading MAGAs like Nick Fuentes and Steve Bannon, these policy reversals are tantamount to treachery of the very worst kind, rendering the notion of America first, absolutely redundant.
The view that more immigrants not fewer are needed wasn’t the sort of thing that Trump’s white base wanted to hear, but it has become abundantly clear to him that it is the only way America remains relevant.
What was truly extraordinary about all this was the manner in which the commander-in-chief put his point across, which was to say that his compatriots cannot compete intellectually at the highest level.
Image via Laura Ingham and Fox on X.
Throughout his political career, Trump has never been encumbered by the nuances of the English language to couch his words in a manner which doesn’t give offence and millions of white Americans who voted for him last year are learning the hard way.
MAGA’s epistemological framework is underpinned by the Great Replacement Theory, which puts whites and whiteness before everything else, falls flat on its face when it is forced to confront the reality that it must embrace having more people of color come to its shores.
America’s immigration policy in the aftermath of the signing of the 14th amendment into law, helped shore up its position ahead of the Soviets and it is responsible for the likes of Satya Nadella, Jensen Huang, Sundar Pinchai, Elon Musk and Max Levchin running some of the biggest technology companies and venture capital firms in the world.
Some, however, will argue that recipients of the H1-B visas aren’t superior to the numbers of Americans with degrees in STEM subjects and this is true to a point.
At a time when America is losing the innovation race to the People’s Republic of China, opening the floodgates of H1-B immigrants to its shores, is the clearest way to neutralizing the CCP.
And the president is prepared to call his power base ‘stupid and talentless’ if it means kickstarting his country’s recovery.
While it is apparent to all that he has stirred up a hornet’s nest, no one really knows how this might shape things in the coming days, weeks and months.

I battled cancer, ‘died’ twice, lost my job & had to sell dream home… then my man ‘forgot’ winning EuroMillions ticket – The Sun

More from The Sun
Desiree Home says she ‘couldn’t process’ the shock information and just ‘carried on’ with her day
AFTER battling cancer, ‘dying’ twice, losing her job and being forced to sell her forever home, Desiree Home was at her lowest ebb.
Then – just when she thought she was at rock bottom – her husband Wayne called her with more shocking news.
Wayne told her that he had won a life-changing £1million on the EuroMillions – days after “forgetting” he’d even bought a lucky dip.
Surprisingly, winners forgetting about their tickets is not uncommon.
A search is currently underway for the winner of another lottery ticket worth £1million that was bought in Birmingham and remains unclaimed. They only have until 20 November to come forward.
Fortunately for Desiree, Wayne finally did remember to check his numbers and claim his prize.
The couple, who have been married for 45 years and have three children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren had experienced seven years of crashing lows, until the winning ticket changed everything.
But when Wayne rang with the life-changing news, Desiree, now 67, told him to stop mucking about.
After years of stress and strain she wasn’t in the mood for jokes.
He managed to convince her he wasn’t having her on and in fact was holding a winning ticket in his hand.
Desiree, from Maidstone in Kent, told The Sun: “Once I realised that he was telling the truth, I said, ‘OK then’ and carried on with my day.
“I just don’t think I could process the fact that we finally had some good news.”
It was only after Wayne got home from work to confirm that he’d been in touch with The National Lottery that the truth started to sink in.
She says: “He explained that he’d bought a lucky dip lottery ticket that week on his way to work and put it in his pocket and forgotten about it.
“Once he finally got around to checking the numbers a few days later he discovered it was a winner.
“It was 8am when he realised they had won but he didn’t want to disturb me as I really didn’t like mornings – and the lottery office didn’t open until 9am, so put it back in his pocket and got the train and then tube to work!
“He eventually rang the number on the back of the ticket and it was confirmed to be a winner.”
Approximately two in five UK adults have purchased a National Lottery ticket in the last year.
Ticket holders have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.
If the money is not claimed it will go to benefit National Lottery Projects across the UK.
There are currently four unclaimed jackpots with one totalling a staggering £10.6million.
After Desiree and Wayne’s win was confirmed, they were put in touch with a team who guided them through the process of dealing with a new-found change of fortune.
And Desiree’s first purchase wasn’t a lavish holiday or fancy car, but a slow closing toilet seat.
Laughing, she explains: “At the time we were living in a mobile home as we’d been forced to sell our forever home due to financial trouble because of ongoing health issues.
“We loved living there, but you heard every single noise and the toilet lid being banged closed every time it was used tortured my head, so I treated myself to a slow closing one!”
With the new loo seat in situ, the couple set about making a bucket list, and the first thing on it was a holiday to the Maldives.
She says: “Everybody we told was elated for us. After everything we’d been through as a family, the general feeling was that we deserved some luck.
“I was 50 when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 bowel cancer, which required invasive surgery and chemotherapy.
“During my treatment I ‘died’ twice from respiratory failure, once on the operating table and then on the recovery ward.
“I spent 11 days in ICU with double pneumonia whilst trying to recover from the invasive surgery.
“Halfway through chemo, I developed Cauda Equina Syndrome which required spine surgery and to top it all, Wayne and I lost our jobs…
“We didn’t have any money left and were forced to sell our lovely home and move into a small mobile home.
We hit rock bottom and couldn’t see a way out – until that massive win
Desiree had always wanted to write a book and it was when she celebrated the life-changing fortune in front of the press that The National Lottery had organised, that she decided she would write her story one day.
She explains: “I’ve had an eventful life, I was in WRENS (Women’s Royal Naval Service) as a young woman, where I met Wayne, an ex-submariner.
“We then raised three children together and dealt with all the usual growing pains that family life brings before things fell apart in 2008 with the cancer diagnosis.
“That win in 2014 couldn’t have come at a better time.”
Ten years later, in October 2024, Desiree ticked publishing a book off her bucket list.
The book, titled Desiree’s catchphrase ‘And Then’ reveals the highs and lows of her life so far, beginning with her early days growing up in Tonbridge in Kent, her passion for horses and raising her family.
She also reveals her devastating cancer diagnosis left the family destitute and battling bailiffs – before six numbers on the EuroMillions changed it all.
Desiree continues: “Writing a book was on my list, along with snorkelling in the Maldives, participating in the London to Brighton bike ride and ensuring my children were financially secure.
“The royalties for the book are being split between two charities: Cancer research and Folly Wildlife Rescue.
“Wayne also bought a motorboat, but we sold it as we didn’t use it enough.
“We’ve got a caravan now and have had so many wonderful family holidays in the West Country.”
AMANDA Herrera runs a specialist concierge service The Fixer which helps National Lottery millionaires and high net worth individuals splash their cash.
Here are Amanda’s top requests from her high-profile clients..
And although the couple are mortgage-free, they still work.
Desiree says: “We’re quite humble. I work as a receptionist part-time and Wayne works for an agency and takes on regular driving jobs.”
The couple bought their dream home, a converted pump house on the same site as their mobile home.
“We’ve seen first hand how hard life can be and that winning ticket enabled us to take life by the horns and allowed us to do everything we always wanted to.
“People say that money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it does buy you freedom and choice – and yes we still play it, because you never know!”
And Desiree says that they haven’t changed since their win.
She said: “We’re still the same people. Our friends are still our friends and our family are still our family.”
The win has had an impact on Desiree’s health too.
She says: “I’m not under the stress that I was before, which has helped with my health.
“It also means that we can go on holidays and I choose my working hours.
“We like simple things, such as bucket and spade holidays in Dorset with our extended family – children don’t appreciate long haul trips to the Maldives – with all the waiting around and travelling that they bring!”
And Desiree is still adding things to the bucket list.

She said: “I’d like to write another book as I think there’s more to say, and also I want to hit 70 looking like I’m 50!”
And Then by Desiree Home is out now

Pi Network’s Biggest Whale Near 375 Million Tokens, Pi Network Price Set to Rally to $0.5? – Pintu

Jakarta, Pintu News – Pi Network’s ongoing price consolidation could be the calm before the storm that could trigger further gains over time.
The token is trading at $0.2277, up about 50% from its October low. The emerging inverse head and shoulders pattern and heavy buying by whales indicate further upside potential, which could possibly reach $0.50.
A chart with a daily time frame shows that the price of Pi Coin has seen a recovery in recent days. Positively, the coin has formed several bullish patterns that could potentially lead to a strong rebound in the coming weeks.
Read also: Pi Network Price Edged Up Today: Pi Coin Recovery Hopes Hinge on Critical Point
The rebound could potentially take the price to the important resistance level at $0.50, which is about 120% higher than the current level. One of the key patterns that formed is the inverse head-and-shoulders pattern. This pattern consists of a head, two shoulders, and a neckline. Most of the parts of this pattern are already formed, and the price is currently on the side of the right shoulder.
Pi Network prices are also attempting to move above the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA), which has provided significant resistance in recent months. This average also coincides with the neckline of the inverse H&S pattern.
In addition, the price of Pi Coin has formed a falling wedge pattern, which consists of two descending trend lines that converge on each other. The price has moved above the upper side of the wedge, which suggests that a rebound could be imminent.
Pi Coin’s bullish price projection for 2024 will be invalidated if the coin’s price falls below the lower side of the right shoulder of the inverse head-and-shoulders pattern.
One potential catalyst for the value of Pi is that the largest individual holders continued to accumulate the token this week.

He has restarted his token accumulation, which suggests that he expects the price to rebound in the coming weeks. Data shows that this whale bought 1.23 million Pi Coin on Tuesday, bringing his total holdings to over 374.5 million. This figure is expected to cross the 355 million mark if he continues to accumulate.
The holdings are currently valued at just over $90 million, much lower compared to two months ago before prices fell to an unprecedented low.
This purchase comes at a time when developers are making important improvements to the network. For example, they are using artificial intelligence to speed up the KYC process, a step that has verified millions of users.
Meanwhile, the development team has reportedly applied for ISO certification, which could increase the chances of listing on an exchange.
They also made the first investment of a $100 million venture fund, investing in OpenMind, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics. The hope is that node operators will contribute their resources to the network.

KAUKAUNA — This past weekend, three Wisconsin Lotto plays resulted in a combined $723,297 in winning tickets.
One of the big winners was purchased in Freedom.
It started on Friday with a when a winning $350,000 SuperCash! ticket was sold at Shell on 3100 W. Washington in West Bend and a winning $20,000 Mega Millions ticket was purchased at Kwik Trip on 2033 North Ave. in Sheboygan.
The Mega Millions play was enhanced by the built-in Multiplier (2X), turning a $10,000 Mega Millions prize into a $20,000 win. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (16-21-23-48-70) + the Mega Ball (5).
Two days later, a player literally did what his purchased ticket implied, leading to the fourth largest Fast Play Progressive Jackpot ever won in the game’s Wisconsin history.
The lucky player won $353,297 instantly or 100% of the Fast Play Progressive Jackpot after purchasing a Hit the Jackpot ticket from Freedom BP on N4135 Hwy 55 in downtown Freedom on Sunday.
The Fast Play jackpot is the largest Lottery prize ever sold by Freedom BP.
Perhaps the most talked about Lotto game at the moment is Mega Millions. The estimated jackpot for the Tuesday drawing is $900 million – the 8th largest jackpot in the game’s history. The last time the Mega Millions jackpot got this high was the week of Christmas 2024. On December 20, the jackpot stood at $862 million and on Christmas Eve it jumped to $1 billion, before being won on December 27 for $1.269 billion.
