Mega Millions Confirms Monumental Texas Lottery Win Tuesday Night – KPEL 96.5

If you were Lady Luck and wanted to establish residency in the state of Texas where would you live? The "Lady" has visited Austin, Temple, Irving, Silsbee, Porter, Grapevine, Corpus Christi, and Nacogdoches in just the past few days. Based on Tuesday's Mega Millions multi-state lottery drawing, it looks like the "old girl" is planning on staying too.
That's our quaint little way of letting you know that if you played the Mega Millions Lottery via the Texas Lottery on Tuesday night, you really should check your tickets. Not only has our source at Mega Millions confirmed a Match 5 Million win in Texas. But the Texas Lottery has revealed there were other big-money winners made in Texas for last night's game too.
According to information shared with me via the Texas Lottery, there were 64,060 winning tickets sold for Mega Millions in Texas last night. Of those 64-thousand-plus winners, a little over one-third of those winners maximized their profits by opting for the Megaplier function of the Mega Millions game.
Here's how the drawing from Tuesday played out.
The top prize in Tuesday's Mega Millions for November 19, 2024, was an estimated annuitized $420 million. If a player wanted the cash payout on last night's jackpot they would be expecting a prize of $194.3 million, that's estimated as well.
But alas, there were no jackpot winners sold anywhere across the Mega Millions game footprint and that brings us to our Match 5 Million winners. A "Match 5" prize happens when a ticket matches all of the white balls in the drawing but doesn't match the Mega Ball.
If the player does not opt for the Megaplier the prize is one million dollars. If the player does invoke the Megaplier options it's one million dollars "times the Megaplier". This is one aspect of the Mega Millions game that differs from the policies at Powerball, the other multi-state lottery game played in Texas.
The November 19th numbers that we saw roll out of the hopper were:
05   35   50   51   59   Mega Ball 08   Megaplier x 4
If your ticket's numbers match our numbers please go verify that ticket at the Official Mega Millions Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those are the sites of record and you don't have a winner until they say you have a winner.
And speaking of winners it appears that the Match 5 Million winner was purchased in Austin Texas. If you shopped at the H-E-B Food Store #780 on US 290 in Austin, you really should double-check those numbers.  There were also three other Mega Millions tickets sold in Texas that earned a prize of $10,000. One of those tickets opted for the Megaplier so they'll be collecting $40,000.
Tonight's Powerball game boasts an estimated top prize of $155 million for the annuity, that's $71.3 million for the cash payment. Lotto Texas with Extra! will also hold a drawing tonight. The estimated top prize in that Texas Lottery game is $43.25 million. And on Friday, the Mega Millions game will draw again. The estimated top prize by the time Friday rolls around is $453 million.

Bandon Dunes instituting lottery to help manage high demand – GOLF.com

InsideGOLF Fall Special:
Bandon Dunes has five regulation courses and two par-3 designs.
Evan Schiller
Golf is booming in a lot of places, but few spots have exploded like Bandon Dunes.
Twenty-five years since it opened with a single course and a rustic lodge on a lonely stretch of the Oregon coast, the pioneering resort has built four additional 18-holers, two par-3 courses and a fan base so fervid that demand often outstrips supply, with bookings routinely selling out more than a year in advance.
It’s a good problem to have, but Bandon has found a fresh way to give all would-be guests a fair shake at landing a room. In an email blast this week, the resort announced that it has adopted a new process for accepting reservations for 2026 that calls to mind ticket lotteries for such high-demand sporting events as the Masters or Ryder Cup.
With the switch, Bandon has divided 2026 into three reservation periods (January-April; May-September; and October-December), each with a registration window and a random drawing to determine the order of reservations requests.
Registration is now open online for all three time periods. The window for the January-April 2026 period will close on Dec. 22, 2024, while the windows for the May-September and October-December 2026 slots will close on Jan.19, 2025, and April 20, 2025, respectively. Golfers whose entries are selected will receive an email notifying them of their place in line, and then a call from a Bandon reservationist when it comes time to book.
In the email, the resort described the change as part of its “ongoing effort to adapt and provide the best possible guest experience” during a time of staggeringly high demand. While Bandon has been a popular destination almost since its birth, its draw has become especially magnetic in recent years, intensified by the surge in post-pandemic play. The resort’s policy has long been to finalize all bookings over the phone, and those lines have frequently been flooded with calls for reservations that, depending on the season, have been made available up to 18 months in advance.
Given the resort’s large inventory of courses, landing a tee time is often less challenging than nabbing one of the property’s 210 guest rooms, and many visitors have found that they can still book rounds if they are willing to stay off site. Bandon has been steadily building out its accommodations over the years, and is currently constructing more lodging near Old Macdonald, one of its five 18-hole courses, though a completion date for that work has not yet been announced.
“Over the past year we’ve been working on our future reservations processes,” Jeff Simonds, Bandon’s general manager, told GOLF.com. “Our hold times for 2025 reservations were extremely long, and we’ve been working to adapt and improve the process for everyone. We tested a similar random drawing and outbound booking approach for the fourth quarter of 2025 and found that it saved guests and our team significant time. It’s all about striving to provide the best possible guest booking experience.”
If you’re looking to visit in 2025 and have not had any luck finding an opening, you can still inquire about tee times for your desired dates and ask to be placed on the waitlist for room reservations. Then, as insurance, book lodging off-site.
As for 2026, well, now you know what to do.

Mega Millions: What are the odds of winning the $900 million jackpot and other prizes? – Diario AS

There are numerous other prizes on offer from the recent Mega Millions draw.
Everyone knows the odds are against them when playing the lottery, but someone has to win, right? Let’s see below just how difficult it really is to win.
A huge jackpot is a result of endless rollovers with no winning ticket sold for the twice-weekly draw. The Mega Millions lottery requires players to choose five numbers between 1 and 69, and one additional number, the Mega Ball, from 1 to 26.
To win the top prize players must select all six numbers correctly, at odds of 302,575,350 to 1. For context, the likelihood of an individual getting struck by lightning in any given year is roughly one in a million. Winning the Mega Millions jackpot is 300 times less likely than being hit by lightning.
#MegaMillions was not hit tonight.

Jackpot for Tuesday, Nov. 11 has increased to $900,000,000! 💵🤯💵

Good Luck!
#lottery #lotto #loteria #jackpot pic.twitter.com/QA1vL83ayD
Entry for the Mega Millions lottery begins at $5 per ticket and participants can still take home some serious money even if they miss out on the full six numbers. Here’s a full list of the ways to win and the odds of winning…
With nine different ways to win the likelihood of winning something from the Mega Millions lottery is actually fairly high. The overall chance of winning any prize is 1 in 24.
The size of the jackpot varies between draws, but each new jackpot always begins at $20 million. If no one claims a win for that draw, then the $20 million jackpot is ‘rolled over’ and increased for the next draw. As was the case with the recent billion-dollar draw, the jackpot can become huge if there is a run of draws without a winner.

EuroMillions £185m jackpot still up for grabs ahead of Tuesday’s draw – The Independent

The jackpot has been described as ‘jaw-dropping’ by National Lottery operator Allwyn
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it’s investigating the financials of Elon Musk’s pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, ‘The A Word’, which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

A lucky winner could walk away with an estimated £185m on Tuesday after Friday’s EuroMillions saw nobody win the jackpot prize.
Friday night’s National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are: 2, 12, 19, 34, 44, while the lucky stars are: 6, 10.
However, no one managed to match all seven numbers, meaning the prize still up for grabs tomorrow evening.
By Tuesday, it is expected the £172m sum will have risen to £185m.
Over the weekend, three people were able to match five numbers and one lucky star, winning £124,791.30 each.
Last week, Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at National Lottery operator Allwyn, called Friday’s potential jackpot “jaw-dropping”.
“A single UK winner of this jaw-dropping prize would make National Lottery history, coming in as the fourth biggest National Lottery winner of all time, and it would also be the 20th win of over £100m since The National Lottery began,” he said.
In order to win the EuroMillions jackpot, a player must match all five numbers plus the two lucky stars.
However, with 13 tiers to the game, it is still possible to win prize money even if all the numbers don’t line up.
If no one manages to secure the EuroMillions jackpot, the money is rolled over to the next draw.
In June, a single ticket-holder from Ireland won the 250 million euro EuroMillions jackpot, making it the biggest lottery prize in UK history.
The prize money is capped once it reaches 250 million euros – or £208 million – and can roll over several times before it must be won in the fifth draw.
The lucky ticket was sold in a retail outlet in Co Cork, with its owner telling reporters the store was going to have a “big celebration”.
Ted Clifford, who owns Clifford’s Centra on Shandon Street in Cork city which sold the ticket, said the news was “very exciting” and said: “It is fantastic news – this all kicked off on New Year’s Eve when we sold a 100,000 euro ticket to a local person.
“That’s when our luck, or winning streak, started.”

Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $900 Million – The Southern Maryland Chronicle

The Southern Maryland Chronicle
When News Matters, It Matters Where You Get Your News.
ATLANTA — The Mega Millions jackpot swelled to an estimated $900 million for the Tuesday, November 11, 2025, drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday’s game, organizers announced November 10. The annuity prize ranks as the eighth largest in the game’s history, with a cash option of $415.3 million available to a single winner. Tickets cost $2 each, or $3 with the optional Megaplier for multiplied non-jackpot prizes, and sales close at varying times by state, typically around 10 or 11 p.m. Eastern time.
Players select five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball from 1 to 25, or opt for Quick Pick random generation. Odds of winning the grand prize stand at 1 in 302,575,350, reflecting the matrix updated in April 2025 to boost lower-tier payouts while slightly lengthening rolls. Friday’s numbers — white balls 16, 21, 23, 48 and 70, plus Mega Ball 5 — yielded 688,058 winning tickets nationwide, distributing more than $13.8 million in prizes below the jackpot. Sixteen third-tier winners, matching four white balls and the Mega Ball, collected $20,000 to $100,000 depending on their Megaplier: 10 at 2X ($20,000 each in Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Washington and Wisconsin), three at 3X ($30,000 in California, Ohio and South Carolina), two at 5X ($50,000 in Indiana and Pennsylvania), and one at 10X ($100,000 in Georgia).
This run, now 38 drawings without a jackpot winner since a $348 million prize claimed in Virginia on June 27, has generated nearly $288 million in lower prizes across 12.4 million tickets. It includes 17 second-tier wins of $1 million each (five white balls only), enhanced by the Megaplier in eight cases: 2X in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia; 3X in California (two), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey and New York; 4X and 5X both in California. Third-tier totals reached 272 tickets in 40 states and territories, from Arizona to Wyoming, underscoring broad participation.

California prizes vary under pari-mutuel rules, where pools divide among winners, differing from fixed national amounts. The April 2025 overhaul raised non-jackpot payouts across 10 tiers — from $2 for matching the Mega Ball alone to $1 million for five white balls — while introducing the Megaplier up to 10X on select drawings. This change, aimed at more frequent mid-level wins, has distributed $1.2 billion in prizes during the current cycle, per Multi-State Lottery Association data.
The jackpot’s ascent traces to Mega Millions’ format since 2002, operated by 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets fund education, infrastructure and other state programs; for instance, New York’s lottery allocates 100 percent of sales to schools. Federal taxes withhold 24 percent on winnings over $5,000, with state levies adding 4 to 8.82 percent, leaving a $900 million annuity winner with roughly $450 million after taxes, or $250 million on the lump sum.
Among historic peaks, this $900 million trails the record $1.602 billion claimed in Florida on August 8, 2023, by an anonymous trust; $1.128 billion to a New Jersey ticket on March 26, 2024; and $1.269 billion in California on December 27, 2024. Earlier 2025 jackpots included $112 million in Arizona on January 17, $349 million in Illinois on March 25, $112 million in Ohio on April 18, and the Virginia win. The game’s largest ever, $1.602 billion, equated to $794.2 million cash, paid over 30 graduated installments.
Drawings occur Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Eastern from WSB-TV studios in Atlanta, broadcast live on select affiliates. Security measures include randomized ball sets and independent audits by the Multi-State Lottery Association. Winners have 180 days to claim in most states, with identities public except in Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and South Carolina. Unclaimed prizes revert to the jackpot after six months to a year, depending on jurisdiction.
Ticket volume surges with jackpots over $500 million, often doubling baseline sales of 50 million per drawing. Retailers earn commissions up to 6 percent, plus bonuses for big winners. The April matrix shift, lowering the Mega Ball pool from 1-25 to maintain odds while inflating prizes, has shortened average rolls to 18 drawings from 25 pre-change, increasing revenue for lotteries.
As the prize nears $1 billion — a threshold crossed four times since 2018 — experts anticipate 200 million tickets sold for Tuesday. Past billion-dollar hauls drew international attention, with non-residents buying via trusts. The Virginia winner, for example, opted for cash, netting $163.8 million after taxes. Organizers urge responsible play, with resources like the National Council on Problem Gambling’s helpline at 1-800-522-4700.
Mega Millions, launched April 22, 1992, as The Big Game among six states, expanded nationally in 2002. It joined Powerball in fueling a $100 billion annual U.S. lottery market, with jackpots funding $30 billion in state education yearly. Tuesday’s drawing, at the Georgia Lottery’s studio, promises another shot at life-altering odds, with results posted immediately online.

Lady Marauders soccer team one victory from state semifinals – altoonamirror.com

Nov 11, 2025
File photo for the Mirror by Roger Kerekes BG’s Calee Kennedy (10) is surrounded by McConnellsburg defenders on a goal attempt that found the back of the net, courtesy of Lady Marauder teammate Hailey DeGol this past weekend.
For the second time in three seasons, Bishop Guilfoyle Academy is on the doorstep of making the school’s first appearance in the PIAA Class 1A girls soccer championship.
A familiar opponent stands in the Lady Marauders’ way.
BG, the District 6 champion, will take on WPIAL third-place finisher Springdale in the semifinals at Westmont Hilltop’s Price Field at 6 p.m. tonight for the right to play the winner of the other semifinal — District 4 champion Muncy and District 1 winner Faith Christian — in Saturday’s PIAA championship at Northeastern High School in Manchester at 7 p.m.
Springdale defeated BG, 2-1, in the PIAA quarterfinals a year ago.
“There are always some mixed thoughts on (playing a team again),” BG coach Joe DeLeo said. “But we are happy to get them back. Both teams are different this year of course. Teams change every year. We’re doing whatever we can to prepare for them just like we’re sure they are for us.”
File photo for the Mirror by Roger Kerekes Bishop Guilfoyle’s Meggie Ritchey (left) fights for the ball with McConnellsburg’s Laynee Hendershot during this past weekend’s playoff game.
Springdale took a 1-0 lead in that game and held on to it until a late goal by Emma Marasco before Hailey Marchlewski, a senior on this year’s team, scored her second goal of the game just 67 seconds later in a 2-1 victory. Springdale went on to win its semifinal game before losing in the state final.
“Their midfielder (Marchlewski), she hurt us last year,” DeLeo said. “She played a slightly different position last year, but she’s still a very good player. We have been spending a good bit of time on how to defend her — the rest of the team is very good as well — but we’ve seen her hurt us offensively before, so we’re doing everything we can to minimize that.”
Though Marchlewski is back, several Springdale players, including last year’s leading scorer Briana Ross, have graduated.
“We have about half the team back,” Springdale coach Marc Bentley said. “We lost five senior starters, but we have added a couple freshmen who have done really well.”
Springdale fell to Sewickley Academy in the WPIAL semifinals before avenging that loss on penalty kicks, 7-6, in the PIAA quarterfinals on Saturday.
“I’m really proud of them after losing in the semifinals of the WPIAL tournament to bounce back and win the third-place game and keep winning the next two games in dramatic fashion,” Bentley said. “We found a way to win in overtime (against Windber) and found a way to win in the penalty-kick shootout, even going to extra shooters. I was proud of the resilience of the girls.”
Bentley has been impressed with what he’s seen from Bishop Guilfoyle.
“They were really strong last year, and it was a good, competitive game,” Bentley said. “It could have gone either way. They have a lot of the same players this time around, and any team that wins a PIAA quarterfinal game 6-0 is going to be a tough test in the semifinals. We’re expecting it to be a tough battle and hopefully a good game.”
Two years ago — also at Westmont — Bishop Guilfoyle lost to Riverview, 4-1, playing this deep into the PIAA tournament for the first time. One of the Lady Marauders’ best players, Sarah Geishauser, was hurt during the game.
Now the team, and some of the players who played in that game, have a second chance.
“To me it’s a testament to the hard work of our coaches and team,” DeLeo said. “We’re obviously very happy to get here, because it takes not just effort but tremendous belief in yourself as a team to get here. They have been working as a team all year and some of them several years together to get to this point. We’re excited for it, and we’re going to give it our best effort.”
Delaney Lechner, part of a senior class along with Payton Ronan and Hailey DeGol, scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Seneca in the PIAA first round.
“I love being a part of the BG soccer team and couldn’t have made it where we are today without my teammates,” Lechner said. “We have such a strong bond that translates on and off the field.”
Springdale is hoping to lean on its experience tonight.
“It’s been really good for the girls who are returning from playing in the state final last year,” Bentley said. “They have been there and know how to win those tough games in those tough moments. The support of the school and the community has also been a big factor for the girls with how proud they are to represent Springdale.”
DeLeo said one of the major keys to tonight’s game will be getting off to a good start and playing from ahead.
“It’s everything,” DeLeo said. “We want to be in that position. We want to put the pressure back on them. We have great faith in our defense, so any lead is obviously very helpful in a match you expect to be very close.”
