HOLMES BEACH, Fla. (WWSB) — A 41-year-old Holmes Beach woman claimed a $6.25 million lottery jackpot she won in late October.
Robin Glover won the jackpot on Oct. 25 with a ticket purchased at the Publix in the 3900 block of East Bay Drive in Holmes Beach.
Glover chose to receive her winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of over $3 million rather than annual payments.

The winning numbers for tonight’s £210 million EuroMillions jackpot have been revealed.
The National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are 24, 31, 34, 41 and 43. The lucky numbers are 06 and 08 .
A single EuroMillions player could become the UK’s record-making National Lottery winner if the prize is claimed.
The EuroMillions jackpot is capped once it has reached 250 million Euros – an estimated £210 million.
If there are no winners on Tuesday, it will now stay at 250 million Euros for a further four draws until it must be won in the fifth draw.
In the “Must Be Won” draw, if no ticket matches all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars, the jackpot prize will roll down into the prize tier where there is at least one winner – likely to be five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
A single UK winner would instantly become the nation’s largest-ever National Lottery winner.
They would knock into second place the anonymous winner of a £195 million prize in 2022.
It follows an Irish family syndicate claiming a EuroMillions jackpot worth 250 million euros (£216 million) on June 17.
The jackpot had reached the maximum amount on 6 June after rolling over several times.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, said: “Tuesday’s jackpot has the ability to transform not just the winner’s life, but the life of the friends and family around them.
“So, make sure you get a ticket to be in with a chance of banking Britain’s biggest ever win.”

HENDERSONVILLE
WEATHER
Thousands of lucky Tennessee Lottery players won a total of $21,370,083 from Oct. 26-Nov. 1, including two winners of $1 million each from the instant-ticket game “The Fastest Road to $1 Million.” One of those winners was a Hendersonville man.
“It’s unbelievable! It still hasn’t sunk in,” said David P. of Hendersonville, when asked how it felt to win a cool million dollars. David, who works third shift at a grocery store, said he will use his prize to buy a fishing boat.
“That’s all I really want,” he said with a smile.
David purchased the lucky ticket at Exhale Smoke Shop in Hendersonville.
The second lucky million-dollar ticket claimed last week was purchased at A1 Smoke Shop in Johnson City.
The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation operates from the revenue it generates through the sale of its products. The Powerball jackpot has gone up again. No one matched all six numbers in the latest draw, so the prize is now $438 million.
The winning numbers from Wednesday, November 6, were 3, 18, 27, 42, 47, and the Powerball number 8. The Power Play was 2x.
Even though no one hit the jackpot, many players still won smaller prizes.
Two players matched five numbers, each winning $1 million. One ticket was sold in Florida, and the other in Pennsylvania.
Some other tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball, winning $50,000 each. Players who added the Power Playoption doubled their winnings to $100,000.
Across the country, many smaller prizes were also won — from $4 to $100,000, depending on how many numbers matched.
Since nobody won the jackpot, it will now increase to $438 million. If someone wins and chooses the cash option, they can take home around $205 million before taxes.
The next draw will take place on Saturday, November 8, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Powerball draws happen three times a week — Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Each ticket costs $2, and adding Power Play costs $1 more.
Tickets are sold in 45 states, plus Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
With the jackpot growing higher, more people are buying tickets and trying their luck. Stores across the country have seen long lines before draw nights.
The last big Powerball win happened in July 2025, when a player from California won $1.3 billion. Since then, no one has won the top prize, so it keeps getting bigger each week.
Even though the chances of winning are small — about 1 in 292 million — people still enjoy playing and dreaming of hitting the jackpot.
If you bought a Powerball ticket, make sure to check your numbers. You can do this on the official Powerball website, state lottery app, or at your local store.
Even if you didn’t win the top prize, you might have won a smaller amount. Sign the back of your ticket and keep it safe until you check the results.
The Powerball jackpot is now at $438 million, and players are getting ready for the next draw. If no one wins again, the prize will keep growing.
For now, all eyes are on Saturday’s drawing. Maybe this time, someone will get lucky and take home one of the biggest prizes of the year.

After the October 24, 2025, drawing for the Mega Millions lottery game, a winning ticket worth $2 million was identified in Connecticut.
To get a $2 million prize from Mega Millions, a gambler must match all five white balls drawn and have purchased a 2x multiplier.
That’s because matching the five balls on its own would be worth $1 million, and the multiplier increases the payday of all non-jackpot prizes.
After some recent changes to the Mega Millions game, random multipliers are assigned at no extra charge in many states worth 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or even 10x when a $5 ticket is purchased.

In other states, like Virginia, it costs the player an extra $1.
So, the Connecticut winner (with the 2x multiplier included for free) matched the white balls of 11, 18, 31, 51, 56, and narrowly missed the Mega Ball of 24 during the October 24 drawing.
The CT Lottery confirmed that the ticket was purchased at a Stop & Shop convenience store in Danbury, about 58 miles southwest of Hartford.
A deadline to claim the $2 million prize is set for April 22, 2026.

Publix confirms it will cease operations for 24 hours at all 1,400 stores
That’s because the CT Lottery has a claim window of 180 days from any draw game, including Mega Millions.
Should the unidentified player not verify their win in time, the funds will be forfeited and kept either in the state’s general fund, used for more game promotions, or added to future prize pools.
Assuming they make in time, the player must make a few key steps.
Since the total prize is well over $50,000, it’s mandatory that an appointment be made in-person at the Connecticut Lottery Headquarters in Wallingford to get the money.
There, the player can fill out a claim form and go through an identity verification process.
They’ll also need to make the crucial decision of whether or not to take the $2 million in a one-time lump sum or through annuity payments.
Some states have differing deadlines for when lottery players can claim prizes. Most allow a 180-day or one-year window before tickets expire and the money is forfeited. Below are the 180-day states:

Should they elect the lump sum, as many lottery winners do, the $2 million would be taxed significantly before they saw any cash.
The federal government imposes a 24% tax on all lottery wins that exceed $5,000, but since winnings also are part of a taxpayer’s income for the year, it could bump them up to other brackets where rates are higher.
Connecticut also imposes a state tax of 6.99% on lottery winnings, whether for residents or non-residents.
After the deductions, the actual take-home pay is between $1.12 million on the low end and $1.38 million on the high end.
That’s still a considerable sum, even after what would be at least $620,000 worth of deductions.
