While tickets with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, sold in other states are worth $1 million or $2 million, California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis, meaning they are determined by sales and the number of winners.
One ticket each with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was sold in Georgia and Illinois and each is worth $1 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game.
The numbers drawn Monday were 5, 18, 26, 47, 59 and the Powerball number was 1. The estimated jackpot was $745 million.
The drawing was the 36th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 292.2 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.9.

PSU freshman Mingo too much for Fighting Camels – altoonamirror.com

Dec 3, 2025

UNIVERSITY PARK — True freshman Kayden Mingo scored six of his 21 points inside the final two minutes to help Penn State pull away and beat Campbell 87-76 on Tuesday night.
Freddie Dilione V added 17 points for Penn State, which is 8-1 for the second-straight year. Josh Reed and Ivan Juric scored 16 points apiece.
The Nittany Lions had its largest lead, 68-54, with 11:17 remaining in the game. The Camels followed with a 15-6 surge to cut the deficit to 74-69 with 3:13 to play. Jeremiah Johnson and DJ Smith each made two from long range during the stretch.
Mingo answered with a layup with 1:36 left and then shot 4 of 4 from the free-throw line. The Nittany Lions shot 52% overall (30 of 58) and 88% (22 of 25) from the line.
Penn State closed the first half on a 16-6 run for a 46-39 lead at the break. Mingo scored 15 first-half points and Dilione finished with 13.
The Fighting Camels continued to battle down the stretch, cutting the lead as low as five points on a pair of occasions. A reply from long range by Reed temporarily stymied Campbell’s success, and Tunca was able to add a pair of points at the line moments later.
Fortunately for PSU, Mingo was able to tack on a driving layup at the 1:36 mark, and a pair of free throws from Dilione V effectively iced the game at 83-74 with just over a minute remaining. Penn State’s defense was able to hold on over the final 60 seconds to come away with the
Smith finished with 19 points and Dovydas Butka added 15 for the Fighting Camels. (3-5).

Powerball jackpot December 3 is $775 million. Where it ranks among all-time winners – Lohud

There was no jackpot winner for Monday’s Powerball drawing, which means that Wednesday’s drawing, if there is a winner, would be the eighth largest jackpot in Powerball history.
This jackpot is an estimated $775 million for Wednesday night’s drawing, according to the Powerball website. The cash value is $362.5 million.
The last jackpot won was September 6, with a pair of winners in Missouri and Texas sharing a $1.787 billion jackpot.
Here are the Top 10 jackpots since the Powerball lottery began in 1992:
A Manhattan man, as well as another person in Iowa, won the Powerball jackpot, which was $688 million. He was awarded $343.8 million, which was the largest prize in the history of the New York Lottery, on Oct. 27, 2018.
There was a $256 million jackpot won in New York on Dec. 7, 2024.
After Wednesday’s drawing, the next Powerball drawing is Saturday, December 6. Powerball drawings are held three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
In New York, in-store and online ticket sales are available until 10 p.m. on the night of the draw. In New Jersey the deadline is 9:45 p.m. and in Connecticut the deadline is 10 p.m.
Choose five numbers 1 to 69 and one number 1 to 26 to be your Powerball. To win the Powerball jackpot, match the six numbers on your ticket to the drawn six-number combination (five numbers plus the Powerball).
The odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 292.2 million.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each. Here’s where to find the closest New York Lottery game retailers near you.
The Powerball drawing is broadcast live on the lottery website at 11 p.m. ET on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. You can watch the drawing by clicking here.
The drawing may be broadcast on a local television station in your market as well.

Mega Millions Winner: Here's Who Won The $90 Million Jackpot – Talk Radio 98.3 WLAC

Photo: Getty Images
A single ticket sold in New Jersey matched all six numbers during the estimated $90 million Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday (December 2), according to MegaMillions.com.
The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $50 million for Friday’s (December 5) drawing. Results from Friday’s Mega Millions game are listed below:
NUMBERS: 17-25-26-53-60
GOLD BALL: 16
The Mega Millions jackpot previously reset after a single ticket sold in Georgia matched all six numbers during the estimated $980 million Mega Millions drawing on November 14, according to MegaMillions.com. The drawing was the eighth-highest Mega Millions jackpot in the game’s history and the 14th-largest in U.S. lottery history.
Mega Millions’ largest drawing in history took place on August 8, 2023, when a player from Florida won the jackpot $1.602 billion jackpot, which was the fourth largest in U.S. lottery history. Mega Millions tickets rose from $2 to $5 prior to the April 8 drawing and officials said the increased revenue will improve a player’s odds of winning the jackpot from 1 in 303 million to 1 in 290 million, which will lead to more sales.
“People really want big jackpots,” said Joshua Johnston, the Washington state lottery director for the Mega Millions game, via the New York Post. “We expect to see a sales lift on this.”
Higher ticket prices would allow the jackpot to start at $50 million, rather than the $20 million it resets to after a jackpot hits during the last prior drawing, while the next jackpot would swell even larger if there isn’t a big winner. Additionally, the minimum prize of $10 on a winning ticket will double given the rise in cost for a ticket, according to lottery officials.
Lottery players will reportedly have a 1 in 23 chance to win any prize, an improvement from the 1 in 24 odds prior to the price change, officials confirmed to the New York Post. Mega Millions has only previously changed its price one time since its launch in 2002.
