A Princess Anne resident who won big recently in the Maryland Lottery took a long drive to claim her winnings.
And now she has her eyes on another big prize: A new car.

The Princess Anne resident won a $50,000 prize on the $10 Double Your Money scratch-off.
She recently stopped by the Royal Farms at 30452 Mt. Vernon Road in Princess Anne, according to the Maryland Lottery, and with $10 to spare, she randomly selected the Double Your Money scratch-off.
She scratched her ticket while still inside the store. Her ticket had 20 matching numbers with amounts ranging from $500 to $10,000, totaling $50,000. The lucky lady was able to stay calm and keep the win to herself while in the store.
Eventually, she shared the news with family and friends. So far, the retailer worker’s only plan is to buy a new car. When not working, she enjoys spending her time cooking and sewing.
The Double Your Money scratch-off launched in July. The ticket still has nine $100,000 top prizes, one $50,000 prize and hundreds of thousands of prizes from $20 to $10,000 remaining.
The winning numbers in the most recent Mega Millions drawing on Oct. 17 were 9-21-27-48-56, Mega Ball 10.
The jackpot for the Oct. 21 drawing now rises to $650 million, with an estimated cash option of $304.1 million.
