
The shop where a lucky Cork punter purchased a EuroMillions ticket worth nearly €300,000 has been revealed.
The National Lottery said Friday night's winning ticket was a quick pick and sold in Sweeney’s Daybreak, Kiltegan Park, Rochestown, Co. Cork on the day of the draw.
The winning numbers in last night’s (Friday, November 14) EuroMillions draw were: 9, 26, 27, 45, 48 and the Lucky Stars were 8 and 9.
While there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot worth €122,611,491, the Cork player matched five numbers and one lucky star to win an astonishing €294,048.
Lotto players confirmed that the lucky ticketholder has yet to come forward as they issued an urgent appeal to players.
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said: “A EuroMillions player in Cork is certain to be celebrating today after matching five numbers and one lucky star in Friday night’s main EuroMillions draw to win an incredible €294,048.
"While over 55,000 players won prizes across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws, the Cork player earned themselves the title as the biggest winner of the night in Ireland.
"Today, we are encouraging all our players in Cork to check their tickets very carefully and to contact our Prize Claims team as soon as possible.”
The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.
Meanwhile, the top prize in Friday's EuroMillions Plus draw also went unclaimed, but 46 players each took home €2,000 after matching four of the five winning numbers.
The winning numbers for the Plus draw are: 19, 30, 31, 34, 38.
And in the Ireland only raffle, ten players also won €5,000 each. The winning Raffle numbers are:
These winners are among over 55,000 people in Ireland who scored prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. A National Lottery spokesperson said: "There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot. In total, over 55,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, including one winner of the Match 5 + One lucky star receiving €294,048. The winning ticket was sold in Cork."
