Ken Burns’ new film “The American Revolution” chronicles our country’s founding in six installments. Religious freedom is one of America’s founding ideals, and religious beliefs and conflicts play a role at numerous points in the film. The ways in which people’s faith and ideals of freedom and tolerance intersect with the war are complex and interesting.
