
Three brothers are going to be splitting $2 million in Mega Millions winnings, according to the CT Lottery.
One of the three bought a Mega Millions quick pick for the Oct. 24 drawing at Stop & Shop at 44 Lake Ave. extension in Danbury and matched five numbers. The original prize was $1 million, but the 2X multiplier doubled it.

The winning numbers were 11-18-31-51-56 and Mega Ball was 24.
Each brother will get roughly $666,666 and they plan to invest the money, according to the CT Lottery.
“Our mother would be upset if we didn’t share it,” the brothers joked, according to a news release from the CT Lottery.
They said the brothers also bought another ticket for Tuesday night in hopes of winning the $900 million jackpot.
