WINDSOR, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Windsor man spent his pocket change on a $2 Palmetto Cash 5 ticket and won a $150,000 jackpot.
The winner told lottery officials that he has been playing the same set of numbers for years, but that’s not what finally won it for him.
“I bought a quick pick with eight quarters,” he said. “That wasn’t the odds, it was timing.”

He bought the quick pick ticket at the Little Country Store at 500 Middleton Drive N in Windsor and matched all five numbers drawn on Oct. 13.
As for his plans, he says he’s going to use the winnings to help a friend.
For selling the claimed ticket, Little Country Store received a commission of $1,500.
The odds of winning a Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668.
