A jackpot can only rollover five times before it must be won in the following draw. If no player matches all the numbers, a rolldown occurs, and the entire £15 million will be split among everyone else who wins a prize.
Also up for grabs tonight is the Thunderball, which could see one lucky player walk away with a life-changing £500k if they match the five main numbers plus the Thunderball.
Both games close at 7:30pm tonight.

Ticket sales for tonight’s draws have now closed.

This is your 30-minute warning to grab tickets for tonight’s Lotto and Thunderball draws.
Lotto, originally called The National Lottery, is the most popular draw, with between 15 and 45 million tickets sold each draw. It has been running since 1994, with the first draw broadcast live. It was watched by an estimated 22 million people.
It was originally operated by Camelot, which ran the lottery for 30 years until the license transferred to the new operator, Allwyn, on February 1, 2024.
The most winners for a single jackpot was 133 in January 1995, each player winning £122,510.
Rollovers are frequent, with “Treble rollovers” – two consecutive rollovers – much less common. The first quadruple rollover draw occurred on September 29, 2012, with a jackpot of £19.5 million.
Tonight’s £15 million Lotto jackpot must be won.
Lotto Must Be Won draws are special events in which the jackpot can roll down if nobody matches all six main numbers. The jackpot is guaranteed to be given away, so prize amounts can be far larger than normal for hundreds of thousands of players at a time.
If no one wins, the jackpot is shared by players matching two or more main numbers, resulting in thousands of boosted cash prizes.
More information about Rolldowns is included in the Lotto Game Procedures.
To date, there have been 96 “Must Be Won” Lotto draws.
To be in with a chance of securing the Lotto £15 million jackpot, or the 500k Thunderball prize, you have just under one hour and 30 minutes to buy your tickets – until 7:30pm.
We will share the winning numbers as soon as we get them. Stay with us!
One lucky winner did match five balls and the bonus, walking away with £1 million. 52 people matched five balls, taking £1,750 each.
In total, 683,574 players walked away with a prize, totalling an incredible £4,453,470.
No one won the £500k up for grabs on Friday (November 14), either, though one lucky player walked away with £5,000 after matching five numbers.
The UK National Lottery’s Thunderball is a simple, fixed-prize lottery game. Players pick five main numbers and one “Thunderball” number for a chance to win a top prize of £500,000.
Those who match five main numbers win £5,000, while those with four main numbers and the Thunderball win £250. Around one in 13 people have a chance of winning £3 if they match just the Thunderball.
Select five main numbers from 1 to 39, and one Thunderball number from 1 to 14. You can choose your own numbers or opt for a “Lucky Dip” for a randomly generated selection.
Each line of numbers costs £1.00 to play. Draws take place four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
You win by matching your numbers to those drawn. The more numbers you match, the bigger the prize. The top prize is not shared among winners – each receives the full amount.
The prize details are as follows:
– 6 Main numbers – Jackpot; Shared equally if there are multiple winners.
– 5 Main + Bonus Ball – £1 million
– 5 Main numbers – £1,750
– 4 Main numbers – £140
– 3 Main numbers – £30
– 2 Main Numbers – Free Lucky Dip; Entered into a future draw.
To play the standard UK Lotto, you must select six numbers from 1 to 59. Draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday, and the goal is to match your chosen numbers with the randomly drawn numbers to win a prize.
You can choose to play your selected numbers for a single draw or for up to several weeks in advance. A single line of numbers for one draw costs £2.00.
You can play multiple lines at once (up to seven lines per slip and 10 slips at a time).
During the draw, six main numbers and one “Bonus Ball” are randomly selected. You win a prize by matching at least two of your selected numbers with the main numbers drawn.
In a “Must Be Won” draw, if no one matches all six main numbers for the jackpot, the prize money “rolls down” and is shared among players who matched two or more main numbers, boosting their prizes.
You can purchase tickets from a physical retailer or online via the National Lottery website.
The game closes in just over two hours, at 7.30pm.
On top of this, 500k is also up for grabs in the Thunderball, which also closes at 7.30pm.
We will give you the results as soon as we get them, so stay tuned.
