The winning numbers for the Mega Millions jackpot worth an estimated $980 million will be drawn Friday night. The drawing takes place at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT/8 p.m. PT.

The Mega Millions is in the midst of the longest streak without a jackpot winner in the game’s 23-year history. This will be the 40th drawing since the last jackpot hit in late June.
The current jackpot, which was initially announced at an estimated $965 million, is the eighth-largest in Mega Millions history. A potential winner would also have a cash option of $452.2 million.
The seven jackpots in Mega Millions history worth more than the current one were all above the $1 billion mark. The game’s largest jackpot victory was $1.602 billion in 2023.
While Tuesday’s drawing didn’t produce a jackpot winner, there were a few multi-million-dollar prizes awarded for matching all five white balls. One ticket sold in Arizona fetched $5 million, while one ticket sold in New York and another in Iowa each secured $3 million.The drawing had a total of 809,030 winning tickets across all prize tiers that combined for more than $27.9 million in winnings.

The Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The odds of winning the jackpot are a minuscule 1 in 290,472,336.
