In Massachusetts, a local player has won $100,000 playing the Mass Cash lottery draw. The win is one of 236 prizes won, worth $600 or more. On Saturday night, after buying their ticket at a convenience store in Essex County, the winner matched five numbers in the lottery draw.
The winning ticket was bought from Middleton’s Fast Freddie’s Mobil at 256 South Main Street. The winning player matched the numbers: 4, 8, 15, 18, and 27. The state lottery reports that matching all five numbers carries odds of about one in 324,632. The identity of the winner always stays private unless the winner decides otherwise; in this case, it hasn’t been made public. The winner’s decision to keep their name private follows a common choice in the state.

The Powerball jackpot continues its climb as it now stands at $740 million for Monday’s drawing.
