Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $800 Million After No Winner in Friday’s Drawing – Positively Osceola

Select Page
Nov 2, 2025 | |
There’s a little magic in the air this weekend as the Mega Millions jackpot continues to soar, now reaching an estimated $800 million (or $371.7 million cash) ahead of the next drawing on Tuesday, November 4.
No ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Friday night — the white balls 2, 24, 52, 66, and 68, along with the gold Mega Ball 9 — keeping the jackpot rolling for another round.
It’s been nearly a decade since Mega Millions crowned a November jackpot winner. The last occurred in 2016, and only 16 jackpots have been won during this month since the game began in 2002. The largest of those November prizes reached $326 million, claimed in New York on November 4, 2014.
If the jackpot is won this Tuesday, it could mark one of the most memorable November payouts in Mega Millions history.
While no one hit the top prize on Halloween night, 557,912 players across the country did take home winnings across all prize tiers, totaling nearly $10.9 million. Six tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball, earning the game’s third-tier prize.
Three players — in Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania — used the 2X multiplier to win $20,000 each.
Three others — in California, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania — used the 3X multiplier, claiming $30,000 each.
Due to California’s pari-mutuel payout system, all prizes in that state will vary from standard prize levels.
The last Mega Millions jackpot was hit in Virginia on June 27, worth $348 million. Since then, in 36 consecutive drawings, players have collected nearly 11.1 million prizes nationwide — with total winnings surpassing $261.8 million.
That includes 17 second-tier prizes worth $1 million or more across 10 states, with multipliers ranging from 2X to 5X, and 244 third-tier prizes between $20,000 and $100,000 across 38 different jurisdictions, including Florida, Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
Before the June 27 Virginia win, other jackpots awarded in 2025 included:
$112 million in Ohio (April 18)
$349 million in Illinois (March 25)
$112 million in Arizona (January 17)
Since its launch in 2002, Mega Millions has made headlines with record-breaking payouts — including seven jackpots exceeding $1 billion, each in a different state. Florida currently holds the record, with a $1.602 billion jackpot hit on August 8, 2023.
Tickets are available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands, for $5 each, including a randomly assigned multiplier. Half of all ticket proceeds remain in the state where the ticket was sold, funding local programs and retailer commissions.
Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET in Atlanta, Georgia. The odds of winning the jackpot stand at approximately 1 in 290,472,336, while the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 23.
With the jackpot now in rare territory and excitement growing across the country, all eyes will turn to Tuesday night’s drawing to see if a lucky player finally takes home the life-changing $800 million prize — or if the Mega Millions magic keeps the numbers climbing even higher.

What Would You Put on a 2026 Auto Industry Bingo Card? – The Drive

             By Byron Hurd
                  Published Nov 2, 2025 2:00 PM EST
The biggest car news and reviews, no BS
Our free daily newsletter sends the stories that really matter directly to you, every weekday.

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.
Over the past several years, I’ve found myself using the phrase “I didn’t have that on my bingo card” far too often. And being the person that I am, instead of simply making a mental note to spin my lazy Susan of writing cliches a bit less consistently, I decided to get it all out in one creative burst. This 2025 “Automotive Industry Bingo” card I mocked up back in January was the result.
I meant it as a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the (then-current) state of the industry and planned to write a story couching it as such, but better writing opportunities came along and it fell by the wayside. It happens.
Despite my attempts to make the humor accessible, it’s still dripping with inside baseball. The diehards out there might appreciate their fair share of these references, but some might be confused or even slighted by some of the implications. To the latter group (and anybody reading this from inside a PR shop), I assure you that this is all in good fun.
And in my defense, despite the occasionally biting humor, a few of these turned out to be prescient. A lot has happened since January, and some of these combinations are still in play ten months later. I’m not going to sit here and pat myself on the back for my “Free Space” selection. It was a gimme for a reason. But come on, I think I deserve at least some credit for a few of these.
You have to scan a decent way down the chart to find any hard stops. Mazda did me an unexpected solid by throwing another rotary concept at us this past week in Tokyo. There’s also still a chance Elon will “launch” the new Roadster by the end of the year. Jaguar’s rebrand technically happened in 2024, but hey, there’s always Aston Martin, right? Come onnnn, November surprise!
Unfortunately, Jeep eliminated three combinations from contention entirely on its own. You just had to can the Gladiator 4xe in 2025, didn’t you, Bob? Mazda technically eliminated two routes with the turbo rotary announcement, since I also had a space for “Mazda Cancels Rotary Development,” but remember, we still have two months left to play “Red Light!/Green Light!” in 2025. These things don’t have to be final; they just have to happen.
A few of the others would have made excellent “Free Space” contenders. “AI (For Some Reason)” is bordering on a weekly thing these days, and what’s a model year without a few special Porsche 911s minted exclusively for obsessive collectors?
The biggest flaw in my 2025 card was that it was created almost entirely by me (Credit for the Copart Supercar and a few other bottom-right-quadrant spaces goes to my fellow The Drive staffers). Bingo’s supposed to be a social thing; that’s why you let Aunt Linda keep her Town Car keys for so long, right? So, for 2026, I’d like to hand it over to you, save for one item: Free Space. While the industry hasn’t finished dropping the guillotine on manual transmissions just yet, I think it’s time to tie up a new whipping boy: the electric car. I leave the rest of it up to you!
So, let’s hear it! What would you put on a 2026 Auto Industry Bingo card?
Air your grievances to the author directly at byron@thedrive.com! Got a news tip? Send it to tips@thedrive.com!
Byron is an editor at The Drive with a keen eye for infrastructure, sales and regulatory stories.
By Joel Feder
By Andrew P.
