A Canton resident recently won a multi-million dollar prize from a scratcher, the Georgia Lottery announced.
The player purchased a Max the Money scratcher with a $5 million prize at the Free Home Publix, 12424 Cumming Highway near Canton.
The winner claimed their prize Nov. 25, Georgia Lottery reported, and selected the cash lump sum option of $2,579,679.
Proceeds from Max the Money and all other Georgia Lottery games benefit education in the state of Georgia.
