A New Jersey lottery player won $1 million Thursday after matching five numbers in the Cash 4 Life drawing, state lottery officials said.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Krauser’s at 1198 Raritan Road in Cranford in Union County. The player missed only the Cash Ball to claim the second-tier prize.
The winning numbers drawn Thursday were 40, 43, 49, 54, and 60, with a Cash Ball of 4.
The player chose the cash option worth $1 million rather than the $1,000 a week for life prize.
This marks the latest in a string of recent million-dollar winners in the Cash 4 Life game in New Jersey.
A Bergen County player claimed the same $1 million prize in September.
August saw $1 million winners in both Bergen and Union counties, while a Middlesex County player won the prize in May.
Cash 4 Life tickets cost $2 and offer two jackpot levels.
The top prize awards $1,000 a day for life with a current cash value of $7 million, while the second prize provides $1,000 a week for life with a cash value of $1 million.
Drawings occur daily at approximately 9 p.m. The game is available in nine states: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia. content here
