The Kerala State Lottery Department has announced the results of the Samrudhi SM-31 lottery draw. The lucky draw was held at Gorky Bhavan, near Bakery Junction in Thiruvananthapuram, at 3 pm on Sunday. The first prize is ₹1 crore, subject to a 30% tax deduction. Winners in the Kerala state lottery must verify their ticket numbers against the results published in the official Kerala Government Gazette. According to the Kerala State Lotteries Department, prize claims must be submitted within 30 days of the draw date.
Winners of the first and second prizes are required to surrender their tickets either in person or via insured registered post to the Director of State Lotteries. Alternatively, claims can be submitted through nationalised, scheduled, state, or district co-operative banks, along with the necessary documents.
Claimants must also provide valid identification, such as an Aadhaar or PAN card, when submitting their winning ticket.

Two of the Premier League's frontunners meet today as Chelsea host Arsenal in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta's men have made an excellent start to the season and lead the way heading into the busy festive period. Chelsea have made a decent start too and came into this weekend's fixtures second in the table, behind Arsenal.
There won't be many happier than Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca to see Cole Palmer back in contention — here is what the Italian had to say on Friday.
💬 “Everyone is happy. His team-mates are happy. We are all happy and the most important thing is that Cole is happy because at the end they want to play games and take part in sessions every day.
“What kind of contribution do I expect? A lot, a lot. He is probably our best player. We are happy that he is back. Now we need to give him time to be 100 per cent fit. He has done fantastic in the past and no doubt he is going to do very well for this club in the future.”
As injury news goes, that's as good as it gets for Chelsea. They have only managed to get two full games out of Cole Palmer this season, so his return comes as a huge boost for Enzo Maresca and his players.
They have been doing pretty well without him in the last few weeks, so that will bring even more confidence into the group ahead of probably their toughest test of the season so far.
There will be trepidation around Palmer's return to the side, though, given his comeback from injury earlier in the season lasted less than a game and a half.
Big news for Chelsea from Friday's pre-match press conference as Enzo Maresca confirmed Cole Palmer is fit and available to start today's game.
The England midfielder hasn't played in over two months after coming off injured in September's defeat to Manchester United. The other good news from Maresca on the injury front concerned Dario Essugo who has been back in training with his team-mates.
That leaves just Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwill on the injury table.
There was a full complement of European fixtures in midweek, so that means we've got a few games to enjoy in the Premier League today.
Slightly unusual kick-off times, too, with the early game starting at midday.

An estimated £157 million is on offer in the EuroMillions jackpot tonight, a win which would be the biggest for any UK player this year.
Friday night’s Euromillions numbers have been announced as: 5, 29, 33, 39, and 42. The Lucky Stars are: 3, and 9.
Friday’s winning numbers for the Thunderball draw are: 6, 8, 11, 29, 32. The Thunderball is: 3.
It comes after the jackpot rolled over on Tuesday, with nobody matching the winning combination of 6, 11, 17, 35, and 44, and the lucky stars 3 and 7.
If someone in the UK matches all seven numbers in tonight’s draw, it will be the seventh biggest National Lottery winner of all time.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said, “What an exciting time for EuroMillions players as Friday night’s jackpot will be an incredible estimated £157M.
“Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £30M for National Lottery-funded projects,” Mr Carter said.

In August, a ticket holder from France became the third player in 2025 to win a EuroMillions jackpot of €250m, an estimated £210m, which equalled the records set in Ireland and Austria earlier this year.

What To Expect From Pi Coin Price in December 2025 – BeInCrypto

Pi Coin price has held up better than most majors through November, but the charts now show a mix of strength and early warning signs. November has been Pi’s calmest month since summer, and the token is still trying to turn green for only the third time this year.
The question now is whether this momentum can survive December, even do better than November, or if the larger downtrend reclaims control.
Pi Coin is still young, so its price history leaves a short but clear story. Most of 2025 has been red. Only February and May printed green months. November is trying to join that list.

What stands out is PI’s negative monthly correlation with Bitcoin, currently around –0.24. When Bitcoin drops, Pi often holds firmer or even rises. Since Bitcoin has been weakening since October, Pi has found support.
Over the last month, Pi is down only about 2.6%, while Bitcoin has dropped much more sharply. Almost 19%.
Weekly performance also reflects this. Pi is still up about 2.7% over the last seven days, making it one of the steadier coins during a weak market. However, some signals on the three-day chart now suggest that December could be more challenging than November.
Pi Coin’s broader structure remains inside a converging falling wedge, which is usually a bullish pattern. The PI price is now close to the upper trendline of that wedge. A breakout from here would normally look positive. But two indicators show early weakness.
The first is the RSI divergence on the three-day chart. The RSI, or Relative Strength Index, measures momentum. Between October 25 and November 24, Pi Coin made a lower high, but RSI made a higher high. This is a hidden bearish divergence. It usually means the downtrend underneath is still strong, even if the price looks stable.
The second is the CMF, or Chaikin Money Flow, which tracks whether large amounts of money enter or exit the market. CMF is still in negative territory on the three-day chart and is now sliding toward its ascending trendline.
The last time CMF revisited this trendline in early October, Pi dropped more than 42%.
Both signals together mean that PI’s November strength may not fully translate into December unless money returns and CMF avoids a breakdown.
The chart shows a simple picture. PI price needs to break $0.28 to build momentum. That level lines up with the wedge’s upper boundary.
A clean close above $0.28 can open moves to $0.36, and if momentum improves further, even $0.46 becomes possible. But the indicators suggest this is less likely unless CMF improves.
On the downside, $0.21 and $0.20 are the first levels to watch. A drop under $0.20 exposes the $0.18 zone. If Bitcoin suddenly flips bullish, PI’s negative correlation can cause short-term underperformance. That may pull the Pi Coin price toward the lower wedge band.
The most important line for December is $0.20. Maintaining that level preserves the long-term structure. Losing it brings $0.18, and possibly $0.15, back into view.
Pi Coin still has a chance to close the year stronger than expected. However, that depends entirely on CMF stabilizing and whether the falling wedge finally allows the price to break through $0.28.
There is hope still if Bitcoin weakens and the negative correlation makes Pi Coin more desirable to big money.

Powerball now at $1.4 billion. Here’s how to increase your odds of winning (really) – tcpalm.com

On Sept. 3, someone might win the $1.43 billion Powerball jackpot. It might even be you!
But it almost certainly won’t be.
The odds against winning the top prize on these lotteries are, as you’ve been told again and again and again, astronomical. Experts say, often, that you’re more likely to be bitten by a shark or struck by lightning than win the lottery.
However, since Florida is the shark bite capital of the world and the lightning capital of the U.S., we like those odds.
And since many people have difficulty really understanding big numbers, many of us default to thinking of lottery odds as 50/50: we won or we didn’t. And after all, someone has to win sometime. It might be you after all!
So how can you improve those ridiculous odds so you can afford your private island? What are the magic tricks and secret strategies to score life-changing amounts of cash? Here you go, and don’t tell anyone else.
That’s it, really.
Sort of? But not really.
“The only way to really increase the odds of winning any lottery is to buy more tickets. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have to win,” said Nicholas Kapoor, Professor of Mathematics at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Technically, buying more tickets does increase your odds. But the odds are so incredibly against you that picking up 10 tickets instead of five on a Wednesday night makes very little difference.
To put that in the proper perspective — since shark bites and lightning are too commonplace in these parts — there were about 290.8 million vehicles registered to drivers in the United States as of September 2022, according to job site Zippia.
Playing the lottery is like trying to guess which one specific car, truck, SUV, or van, whether driving or parked or abandoned somewhere across all 50 states (including Alaska and Hawaii), has a sack of money hidden in the glove compartment.
With numbers like that, guessing 10, 100, or even 100,000 individual vehicles to try to find the right one doesn’t make getting the cash much more likely.
That’s about the same odds as winning the Mega Millions jackpot. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are slightly worse than that.
There are plenty of tips to increase your chances, but they don’t help.
“I’ve seen it all and those tips are usually technically true but useless, or are just not true,” said Larry Lesser, a math professor at the University of Texas at El Paso who maintains a website on lottery literacy and has even written a parody version of Kenny Rogers hit song “The Gambler” to illustrate his point. “Contrary to scams’ claims, there are NO strategies to increase a ticket’s chance of winning a share of the jackpot,” he said.
What you can do, however, is increase the odds that if you do win, you get to keep more of the money.
Here, you can make a difference.
If you win the Powerball, Mega Millions or Florida Lotto, you have to split your new wealth with anyone else who picked the same numbers. So, pick numbers other people aren’t as likely to choose to increase the chances that if you do win, you’ll be the only one showing up for the big check.
Nope. While it can sometimes seem that certain places such as Publix and 7-Eleven seem to pay off more than others, it’s because they sell more tickets, according to Harvard statistics professor Mark Glickman.
“There is no pattern,” Glickman said. “It’s entirely random.”
You can find patterns in winning numbers, of course, since humans can find patterns in anything, but they won’t help you predict future winning numbers in the slightest.
Sure. Just go in with your eyes open, don’t spend more than you can easily afford to lose, and don’t make financial or retirement plans based on your surefire numbers. The fun of playing and speculating what you’d do with your newfound wealth is worth a few or 20 bucks to a lot of people, so why not?
It’s cheap to buy a dream. Even a temporary one.

Inter Miami, hardened by past failure and a happy accident, hits peak for MLS Cup – The New York Times

Inter Miami has learned its lesson.
Miami heads into next Saturday’s MLS Cup final against the Vancouver Whitecaps finally looking like the team many expected to see with Lionel Messi in its ranks, A 5-1 crushing of New York City FC in Saturday’s Eastern Conference final, on the back of a 4-0 win at FC Cincinnati, makes Miami the favorite to lift the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy on its home ground next week. Miami has scored three or more goals in four of its five playoff matches thus far and set a new MLS record for goals across a regular season and postseason combined (98). In bracing to welcome the Whitecaps to South Florida, Inter Miami is hitting its peak.

No matter the club’s payroll, though, it hasn’t come easy. Building momentum into the postseason is the key factor in any competition decided by playoffs, but it’s a lesson Miami had to learn the hard way. Last season, under Gerardo Martino, Miami utterly dominated the regular season, winning the Supporters’ Shield with a record 74 points. But that top-seed status counted for nothing when the club crashed out of the playoffs in the first round, losing its best-of-three series to Atlanta United – despite a 34-point gap in the standings — and spending the next month watching teams it had beaten in the regular season competing for the title.
“This format seems a little unfair to me,” Jordi Alba said after the defeat to Atlanta. It was Miami and Messi’s ‘Welcome to America’ moment, and it evidently hurt so much that it was still on the Argentine maestro’s mind when he was interviewed by Fabrizio Romano last month.
“We have the experience from last year, when we finished first in the regular season, and then in the first (round), we got knocked out,” he said. “I think the playoffs are a separate competition, where games are different, the teams are much more careful and attentive to everything, to every detail, as any given situation you can be knocked out. But obviously we are prepared to compete, to fight and to try to win it.”
Miami’s regular season was nowhere near as impressive in 2025. After a strong start, Javier Mascherano’s side was a mess in April and May – it lost 4-3 at home to Dallas, was thrashed 4-1 at Minnesota United and was outclassed 3-0 at home to Florida rival Orlando City. In the midst of those MLS misadventures came losses in both legs of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals against the Whitecaps, with the club utterly outdone in a 3-1 second-leg home defeat to the Canadian side.

Those results and performances – in particular the shambolic defending — raised fears about what June might bring in the Club World Cup which Miami had been questionably awarded a spot on the basis of their Supporters Shield title.
If Miami couldn’t keep Minnesota, Dallas and Orlando at bay, what could transpire against Portuguese giants Porto and Brazilian powerhouse Palmeiras?
But Miami raised its game, beating Porto 2-1 on a signature Messi free kick – the first victory by an MLS team over European opposition in a competitive game – and drawing 2-2 with Palmeiras to make it into the last 16 of the FIFA tournament. The reality check was provided by European champions Paris Saint-Germain, which won 4-0, but even that defeat was not quite the humiliation that many predicted.
Mascherano, who critics suggested had been hired purely because of a friendship with Messi rather than due to his coaching ability, had found a way to set-up the team to protect his fragile defense, and when Miami returned to MLS action in July, it did so with three straight wins.

There were still stumbles to come in the regular season — another heavy, 4-1 loss in Orlando, a 3-0 loss in Charlotte and then an alarming 5-3 defeat at home to Chicago on September 30. But crucially Miami won its last three regular season games (and six of its last eight) and secured the third seed in the East. Prior to its playoff scoring binge, Miami scored at least three goals in seven of its last eight regular season games. Messi spearheaded that effort, winning the Golden Boot with 29 goals in 28 games, though all seemed to depend on the 38-year-old keeping fit for the postseason.
A defeat in Game 2 of the best-of-three first-round series against Nashville put the pressure on Miami again and raised the prospect of a repeat early exit. But the MLS Disciplinary Committee’s decision to take retrospective action and suspend Luis Suárez from the deciding game for kicking out at Andy Najar turned out to be a rather transformative moment and happy accident.

Far from weakening Miami, Suárez’s absence forced Mascherano to start 19-year-old Mateo Silvetti and Tadeo Allende in attack with Messi dropping deeper into a false nine. With 22-year-old Baltasar Rodriguez buzzing around in midfield, Miami suddenly had something that had been sorely missing from the side with Suárez as the target man – pace and legs.
Without Suárez, Miami beat Nashville 4-0 with a brace each from Allende and Messi, as the fears of another first-round exit were banished emphatically. Speaking after Saturday’s win over NYCFC, Mascherano made it clear that the memories of the Atlanta debacle had been at the forefront going into that game.
“Personally, the biggest thing for me in this playoff run was before the third game against Nashville — maybe that’s when the memory of last season was felt most. We arrived at the third game with similar results, playing at home, and I think what happened last season was a big learning experience. I had nothing to do with it, but the experienced players who lived through it passed on what they learned to the rest,” he said.
In Cincinnati, Mascherano resisted the temptation to recall Suárez to the starting lineup. and his decision was rewarded with a devastating display. Messi opened the scoring, and Silvetti added the second before Allende, now brimming with confidence, added two more.
The Uruguayan veteran was among the substitutes again against NYCFC, and again Miami sparkled without him, with Allende scoring a hat trick and Silvetti scoring again as well.
Mascherano had praised Suarez’s response to being left out in Ohio, and in the aftermath of the conference final celebrations he was careful not to frame his team’s success as being the result of the three games without the Uruguayan.
“I wouldn’t pick just the last three games, I’d say almost the last two months — except for the setback against Chicago, the last two months have been amazing. But the big credit goes to the team, for being convinced about where we’re going, for becoming stronger as a group. We’ve reached the end of the season with a team that has a brotherhood. Everyone pulls together, it doesn’t matter who starts, we’re truly a group, and the power of a group is immeasurable. It can overcome a lot,” he said.

There was a word Mascherano used several times during Saturday’s post-game press conference — conviction. The former Liverpool and Barcelona standout used it to describe the way his team has found self-belief and confidence in its own ability and in the system he is asking them to play.
And, like his players, he knows that like everything else in the playoffs, it is all about timing.
“We’ve found this conviction at the right time — this tournament is really two: regular season and playoffs,” he said. “It’s good that this conviction came now. Today will be remembered as a conference championship for the club, which isn’t a minor thing, but the most important part is still to come.”
