Crypto AML Firm Notabene Introduces Compliance Platform for Stablecoin Payments – CoinDesk
Cryptocurrency anti-money laundering (AML) specialist Notabene has introduced Notabene Flow, a stablecoin payment platform designed for high-value business transactions.
Notabene, a firm focused on bringing compliance to crypto transactions, such as applying the so-called “Travel Rule," said its platform adds features long absent from crypto rails in an emailed statement on Monday. These include payment authorization, invoicing and dispute resolution, to make stablecoin transfers viable.
Institutional firms such as Zodia Custody, Bitso and Borderless are among the initial adopters, looking to combine stablecoin speed with compliance standards familiar to traditional finance (TradFi).
There’s a lot happening around stablecoin payments at the moment, including the announcement this week that Swift, the long-established interbank messaging platform, will unveil its own blockchain-based stablecoin system for payments.
An obstacle to stablecoin payments is that most crypto transactions are “push-only,” leaving businesses without safeguards to reverse payments or block fraud, Notabene said. The firm’s new application introduces pull payments, recurring billing and standardized coordination between verified participants, backed by the company’s network of 2,000+ regulated entities.
The platform relies on the Transaction Authorization Protocol, an open standard that functions rather like a Swift-style messaging layer. Notabene partnered with the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), a way of achieving entity verification anchored to the internationally recognized LEI standard, giving every participant a reliable foundation of counterparty trust.
“Cross-border B2B payments have always been slow, expensive, and complex," Pelle Braendgaard, Notabene CEO said. "Stablecoins are the first real opportunity to change that, but these high-value payments need a trust framework to succeed at scale. Notabene Flow delivers that framework."

Scratch-off lottery ticket bought 'on a whim' scores $2M prize – upi.com
Sept. 29 (UPI) — A Michigan Lottery player who bought a few tickets “on a whim” ended up winning a $2 million top prize from a scratch-off game.
The 32-year-old Wayne County man told Michigan Lottery officials he was at Fleck’s Fresh Mart on Michigan Avenue in Canton when the 100X scratch-off tickets caught his eye.
“I don’t usually play the 100X game, but I bought a few on a whim while I was at the store,” he said. “I was scratching off one of the tickets and when I saw I matched number 11 with ‘$2MIL’ underneath, I kept asking myself: ‘What does this mean?’ because I didn’t believe I really won $2 million at first.”
The man said he sought a second opinion on the ticket.
“When my mom looked the ticket over and told me it was a $2 million winner, I was so excited I didn’t know what to do with myself! Turning $20 into $2 million is unbelievable and still doesn’t feel real. I don’t think it’s going to fully sink in until I cash the check,” he said.
The winner said his prize money will go into savings.

Pi Network Price Prediction: PI Coin Risks Diving Below $1 As Price Fails to Exceed $1.23 – Brave New Coin
Pi Network Coin (PI) is facing intense selling pressure, tumbling from its late February high of $2.98 as bearish sentiment grips the market. With market sentiment turning bearish, concerns are growing that the Pi cryptocurrency may soon dip below the critical $1 support level.
Market conditions have not been favorable for Pi crypto price, as investors remain cautious amid broader economic uncertainties. The lack of significant catalysts to drive buying pressure has left Pi Coin price vulnerable to further declines. Unless a shift in sentiment occurs, Pi currency value could continue its downward trajectory in the short term.
A major factor contributing to the Pi crypto value decline is the upcoming release of 129 million tokens into circulation, valued at approximately $140.61 million. Historically, large token unlock events increase supply, leading to downward pressure on prices. As traders brace for this influx, the probability of PI Coin price dropping below $1 grows.

This token release comes at a time when the Pi Network market is already under pressure, compounding the challenges for investors. Despite an 86% vote in favor of a Pi Network Binance listing by the exchange’s community, Binance has yet to confirm whether it will support PI Coin trade. A Binance listing could inject fresh liquidity and confidence into Pi Coin, but the lack of an official announcement has contributed to the coin’s recent slump.

Without a listing on a major exchange, Pi Coin buy options remain limited, reducing the token’s accessibility to a broader audience. Investors had hoped that a Pi Coin exchange on Binance would provide a much-needed boost in trading volume and market confidence. However, without confirmation from Binance, the situation remains uncertain, leaving Pi Network sell sentiment dominant.
PI’s price has broken below the lower Bollinger Band at $1.12, often a sign of continued bearish momentum. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains near the oversold threshold, suggesting that while selling pressure is dominant, a potential bounce-back could occur if buyers step in. However, if Pi Network price today fails to hold above $1.05, a drop below $1 becomes increasingly likely.

To reverse the bearish trend, Pi cryptocurrency value would need a significant uptick in demand. On the downside, failure to maintain support could push Pi Network Coin price into further decline, raising concerns over the sustainability of its market position.
Despite its recent price struggles, Pi Network market continues to develop its ecosystem.
