Three Arkansans win big playing the lottery, totaling $450K – thv11.com

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Three Arkansans won big by playing draw games and scratch-off tickets this week.
Cassius K, Robert A, and Jerricc J won prizes totaling $450,000. Jerricc claimed her prize at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) Claim Center on Nov. 10, while Cassius and Robert claimed theirs on Nov. 12.
Cassius K of Lonoke County won $100,000 with a Powerball® ticket in the Nov. 10 drawing.
Cassius said to ASL officials that he only plays the lottery occasionally. He only bought the winning ticket at a North Little Rock Exxon after his wife encouraged him while they were running errands.
“I wanted to keep her happy and grab a ticket,” he told Lottery officials.
The winning numbers were 6, 28, 44, 48, 58, and 23, and the Power Play® multiplier was 2.
Cassius checked his numbers the following morning and was shocked: he had matched four out of five winning numbers, plus the Powerball number, to win a $50,000 prize.
By buying his ticket with Power Play, his winnings doubled to $100,000.
He told lottery officials it was his first time winning a lottery prize. Cassius has yet to decide what to do with his winnings, but he plans to keep playing lottery games.
“At least, I know to go when my wife tells me to go,” he chuckled.
Robert A from Pulaski County won $250,000 playing 100X the Cash, a $10 instant game.
He was on his way to pick up his daughter when he decided to stop for gas at JMT One Stop in North Little Rock.
A daily lottery player, Robert usually plays a 200X the Cash ticket or “whatever else looks good that day.” He purchased a 100X the Cash and, to his shock, won a $250,000 top prize.
“I had to pull over a few times to catch my breath,” he told lottery officials. Robert’s daughter and her mother were equally stunned when he shared the news.
The lucky winner plans to renovate his house with his prize. He will also continue playing lottery games.
Jerricc J. from Little Rock landed a $100,000 top prize on 50X the Cash, claiming his prize at Big Hill Enterprises LLC.
Jerricc’s grandmother, a regular lottery player, purchased the winning ticket for Jerricc after he asked her to.
He scratched off the winning ticket at home and quickly discovered it was worth $100,000.
“Is this for real?” Jerricc and his grandmother wondered.
They rushed back to the store to confirm the win. Stunned, Jerricc’s excitement only grew as he waited to claim his prize.
Jerricc has yet to make plans for his winnings.
“You have to think about it,” his grandmother noted.

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Resumes jogging – CBS Sports

General manager Dana Brown said Wednesday that Alvarez (ankle) has begun jogging at roughly 70 percent intensity, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
Alvarez suffered a severe left ankle sprain during the final weeks of the regular season. Brown’s comments indicate that the 28-year-old is coming along nicely in his recovery, and the GM added that he expects Alvarez to be ready to go by the start of spring training. The righty-hitting slugger also missed significant time in 2025 due to a fracture in his right hand and finished the season with just a .797 OPS across 199 plate appearances.
