The Sixers were able to stick around in the first half but a big Heat third quarter led to another welcomed loss Saturday night.
There it is, *checks notes, the Alec Burks revenge game.
After a hard fought two and a half quarters, the Sixers packed it in and fell 118-95 to the Miami Heat Saturday night. More importantly, the Brooklyn Nets beat the Washington Wizards 115-112 to go a game up on Philadelphia.
Now losers of their last seven, they are 23-51 and officially eliminated from the playoffs.
Jared Butler led the Sixers with 19 points and 10 assists, his first double-double as a Sixer. Justin Edwards went for a late 17 points, Adem Bona had 16 and Quentin Grimes had 15.
Tyler Herro led all scorers with 30 points while Burks had 20.
Lonnie Walker IV returned again to give the Sixers a whopping 10 available players, while the Heat were without Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson.
Here are some grades at the buzzer.
He didn’t cool off like the rest of the team after his good start from three, but it was the quietest game from Edwards in some time from a usage perspective. He took about two shots a quarter before letting it fly in the fourth. He was making some other things happen early with three steals in the first half with as many assists. Foul trouble also became a problem for him when he picked up his fourth early in the second half, but the game didn’t remain competitive for much longer.
Grade: C
In just his third start of the year, Bona was eased into things thanks to a lob from Jared Butler. Most of his shots came from lobs or dump offs, but he was as efficient as can be, shooting 8-of-9 on the night.
While he got beat up on the offensive glass again, his presence as a rim protector was the team’s only hope at getting stops on the night. He had two exciting blocks in the first half, including a complete smothering.
Grade: A
Despite a quick heater from beyond the arc to start the game, Grimes seemed to be playing with an emphasis on showing off his passing chops. He had quite a few opportunities for shots at the rim but was trying to get in dump-off passes to Bona, to varying degrees of success. He only had three assists to show for it, but the passes he threw weren’t bad.
Before the game Nick Nurse talked about the idea of getting him more point guard reps. While his passing might get there, his handle might not. He just struggles getting through heavy traffic.
After a scoreless second he got going again in the third with a flurry of pull-ups that have quickly become familiar before having the fourth quarter off.
Grade: B-
Another one of his strongest performances here, Butler just played a comfortable, table-setting game. It seems to help him a lot to have a lob-threat as a center so he can run pick-and-rolls. On top of that, his own shot was falling, giving him a productive night all around.
Grade: A
The Sixers are right back in action on Sunday with another important one in the tanking race — the Toronto Raptors come to town for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.

Sawan Shivratri is an important Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. It symbolises the coming together of the divine energies of Shiv and Shakti. Deities observe fasting and chant prayers all night, representing the victory over darkness and ignorance. However, at a festival as important as this, a question often arises: what to wear? As this festival holds great significance spiritually and culturally, the colours and fabrics you choose often connect with the divine. Let’s see what one can wear this Sawan Shivaratri.
Dress policies for Sawan Shivratri usually encourage simplicity with discipline, along with sheer devotion and penance. You can opt for colours that represent peace and devotion and form a deeper connection. Opt for natural fabrics made from cotton or silk and show detachment from any kind of materialism. Try to don colours like saffron, blue, white, and purple, which are usually associated with Lord Shiva. Also, avoid wearing black, as it absorbs negative energy, and complete the look with a simple Rudraksha.

Choose the right colour for Sawan Shivaratri, which will enhance your devotion and positive energy. Opt for white, as it is a symbol of peace, purity, devotion, and spiritual growth. Try saffron shades, as they represents sacrifice and Lord Shiva’s disciplined life. You can also prefer purple, which is associated with mysticism, spiritual enlightenment, and transformation. Lastly, try the light blue shade, which is a rare colour and is associated with calmness and devotion. It is also related to Lord Shiva’s connection to the river Ganga and with the sky.

Black is considered inauspicious and attracts negative energy, which is opposite to the divinity of Mahashivratri. This makes black not ideal for the spiritual practices that happen during the festival’s celebrations. But several devotees believe that black is a good colour to wear, as it somewhat matches Lord Shiva’s complexion. But this belief is more spiritual than fashionable. But try to balance it out, as if you’re wearing a black palazzo. Try teaming it with a white or purple kurta and dupatta set.

Sarees are always a timeless choice for Sawan Shivratri, as they bring elegance and grace, reflecting culture and devotion, while keeping you comfortable and stylish. You can opt for Kanjeevaram silk sarees, Banarasi silk, Chanderi, and cotton handloom sarees that look traditional and sophisticated and hold a perfect combination of regal elegance and poise.

Lottery fever is spiking.
Will a $2 ticket make you a multimillionaire? As they say in the lottery business, “it could happen to you.”
After no one matched all five numbers plus the Powerball in the Monday, Nov. 10, drawing for $490 million, the jackpot jumped well past $500 million for Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The current jackpot has since rolled over 26 times after resetting to $20 million on Sept. 8, when a pair of tickets from Fredericksburg, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri, won the $1.787 billion Powerball drawing on Sept. 6.
And after a rollover on Tuesday, Nov. 11, or Veterans Day, Mega Millions rose to a whopping $965 million (from $900 million) for Friday, Nov. 14. The current Mega Millions jackpot rose on the all-time largest Mega Millions jackpot list and is likely poised to shoot past $1 billion, too. If that happens, it’ll be the 14th time in history a Mega Millions or Powerball lottery jackpot reached or surpassed $1 billion (see below).
But before that, there’s $512 million up for grabs with Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. The one-time cash option would be $239.1 million, according to Powerball online. Check back after 11 p.m. ET for Wednesday, Nov. 12, winning numbers. We’ll see if there’s a half-a-billion-dollar winner or another rollover.
In case you’re wondering, Monday, Nov. 10, winning numbers were 6-28-44-48-58 and the Powerball was 23. Power Play was 2x.
Tickets start at $2 a piece. Below is what to know about lottery odds, how long to claim the cash option if you bought a ticket in Florida, and what happens to unclaimed prize money, according to the Florida Lottery.
Good luck!
Powerball lottery drawings are at 11 p.m. ET every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, including holidays. Check back for Wednesday, Nov. 13, winning Powerball numbers and Power Play. We’ll see if there’s a winner so soon after the historic $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot or another chance at more money for the grand prize.
The current Powerball streak started Monday, Sept. 8, after a ticket purchased in Fredericksburg, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri, matched all five numbers plus the Powerball in the $1.787 billion drawing on Sept. 6, 2025.
Below is a recap of drawings and rollovers and how much the jackpot has increased over time.
Powerball drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, including holidays. According to Powerball.com, players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance to match all six numbers whether the jackpot is $20 million or $2 billion. Prizes range from $2 to the grand prize jackpot, which varies.
The next Powerball drawing will be Saturday, Nov. 15.
Prizes for Florida Lottery must be claimed within 180 days (six months) from the date of the drawing. To claim a single-payment cash option, a winner has within the first 60 days after the applicable draw date to claim it.
The Florida Lottery says its scratch-off tickets and Fast Play game prizes “must be claimed within 60 days of the official end-of-game date. Once the applicable time period has elapsed, the related Florida Lottery ticket will expire.”
According to Florida Lottery’s website, winners cannot remain anonymous: “Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide records containing information such as the winner’s name, city of residence; game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information.”
However, the site states, the “names of lottery winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.”
Lottery experts and lawyers have said there are ways to remain anonymous if you win.
