There was no jackpot winner for Tuesday’s Nov. 11 Mega Millions drawing, which means that Friday’s Nov. 14 drawing, if there is a winner, would be the eighth highest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
This jackpot is an estimated $965 million for Tuesday night’s drawing, according to the Mega Millions website. The cash option is $445.3 million.
The last jackpot was won on June 27, a single winner from Virginia won a $348 million jackpot.
A group of co-workers on Long Island rung in the new year by scoring a Mega Millions jackpot of $437 million on January 1, 2019.
There was a $20 million jackpot winner in Syracuse on April 19, 2023. There were three jackpot winners in New York in 2023, $483 million on April 14 in Queens and $20 million on January 17 in the Bronx. There have been no Mega Millions jackpot winners from New York in 2025.
The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, Nov. 14. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. every Tuesday and Friday.

In New York, in-store and online ticket sales are available until 10 p.m. on the night of the draw. Mega Millions costs $2 to play. In New Jersey and Connecticut you can purchase a ticket until 10:45 p.m. the night of the draw.
The new multiplier increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five or 10 times. The cost of the new multiplier is included in the $5 cost of a ticket. The multiplier value — either 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x — will be randomly selected and printed on the ticket next to each play. This feature replaces the Megaplier, which has been retired.

A jackpot winner has the option of taking an annuity or cash payment.
The annuity is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, according to the Mega Millions website. Each payment is 5% bigger than the previous one.
“This helps protect winners’ lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation,” according to the Mega Millions website.
The cash option is a one-time, lump-sum payment that is equal to all the cash in the Mega Millions jackpot prize pool.
If two or more people win the jackpot in the same drawing, the money is shared equally among all winning tickets.
In order to purchase a ticket, you’ll have to visit your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store — and in a handful of states, you can purchase tickets online.
To play, you will need to pick six numbers. Five numbers will be white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 24.
If you believe the odds are against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick,” the computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

However, we were surprised that the behavior change didn't translate to significantly better blood pressure control," said lead researcher <a href="https://nyulangone.org/doctors/1366634644/john-a-dodson" target="_blank">Dr. John Dodson</a>, an associate professor of medicine and population health at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City.</p> <p>"We were also surprised that people did not keep taking their medication as prescribed after the rewards program ended," Dodson added in a news release. <div class="mt-5 text-center mb-5" style="min-height: 305px;"><div class="playwire-ad-unit"><div class="upi-content" style="margin: 0 auto;"></div></div></div></p> <p>For the study, researchers recruited 400 people who had been prescribed at least one drug to help lower their <a href="https://www.healthday.com/a-to-z-health/hypertension/high-blood-pressure-hypertension-645539.html" target="_blank">high blood pressure</a>.</p> <p>Two-thirds of the participants were selected to take part in a cash rewards program for taking their medicines.</p> <p>These folks were given electronic pill bottles that reported when they'd been opened, indicating the people had taken their meds.</p> <p>People who opened their bottle the previous day were entered into a daily drawing for cash rewards ranging from $5 to $50. Those who didn't open their bottle received a text message reminding them that they'd missed out on the day's lottery.</p> <p>Results showed that, at six months, 71% of people in the rewards group opened their medication bottle regularly, compared with 34% of people in the control group not included in the lottery.</p> <p>However, their reductions in systolic blood pressure after six months were similar - an average 6.7 mm/Hg for the rewards group compared to 5.8 mm/HG for the control group. Systolic is the pressure that occurs <a href="https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/high-blood-pressure" target="_blank">during a heartbeat</a> when blood is pumped out of the heart.</p> <p>"It is unclear if there was no change because they opened the bottles but didn't take the medication tracked, or if a different medication or lifestyle behavior not tracked in the study impacted their blood pressure," Dodson said. <div class="mt-5 text-center mb-5" style="min-height: 305px;"><div class="playwire-ad-unit"><div class="upi-content" style="margin: 0 auto;"></div></div></div></p> <p>The research team tracked participants for six months after the program ended, and found that people quit taking their drugs regularly when the lottery incentive wasn't there.</p> <p>"This shows that improving medication adherence is more complex than we thought," Dodson said. However, we were surprised that the behavior change didn't translate to significantly better blood pressure control," said lead researcher <a href="https://nyulangone.org/doctors/1366634644/john-a-dodson" target="_blank">Dr. John Dodson</a>, an associate professor of medicine and population health at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City.<br>"We were also surprised that people did not keep taking their medication as prescribed after the rewards program ended," Dodson added in a news release. <div class="mt-5 text-center mb-5" style="min-height: 305px;"><div class="playwire-ad-unit"><div class="upi-content" style="margin: 0 auto;"></div></div></div><br>For the study, researchers recruited 400 people who had been prescribed at least one drug to help lower their <a href="https://www.healthday.com/a-to-z-health/hypertension/high-blood-pressure-hypertension-645539.html" target="_blank">high blood pressure</a>.<br>Two-thirds of the participants were selected to take part in a cash rewards program for taking their medicines.<br>These folks were given electronic pill bottles that reported when they'd been opened, indicating the people had taken their meds.<br>People who opened their bottle the previous day were entered into a daily drawing for cash rewards ranging from $5 to $50. Those who didn't open their bottle received a text message reminding them that they'd missed out on the day's lottery.<br>Results showed that, at six months, 71% of people in the rewards group opened their medication bottle regularly, compared with 34% of people in the control group not included in the lottery.<br>However, their reductions in systolic blood pressure after six months were similar - an average 6.7 mm/Hg for the rewards group compared to 5.8 mm/HG for the control group. Systolic is the pressure that occurs <a href="https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/high-blood-pressure" target="_blank">during a heartbeat</a> when blood is pumped out of the heart.<br>"It is unclear if there was no change because they opened the bottles but didn't take the medication tracked, or if a different medication or lifestyle behavior not tracked in the study impacted their blood pressure," Dodson said. <div class="mt-5 text-center mb-5" style="min-height: 305px;"><div class="playwire-ad-unit"><div class="upi-content" style="margin: 0 auto;"></div></div></div><br>The research team tracked participants for six months after the program ended, and found that people quit taking their drugs regularly when the lottery incentive wasn't there.<br>"This shows that improving medication adherence is more complex than we thought," Dodson said. (KMDL-FM) The multi-state lottery game, Mega Millions, is entering some rarified territory following Tuesday night's drawing. The lottery game that is played in 45 states around the nation held its Tuesday drawing last night for a jackpot prize of $900 million. That was the estimate on the annuitized jackpot; the cash payout was forecast to be $415.3 million.
To win the jackpot prize, a player would need to match five white balls numbered from 1 to 70. They would also need to match the number on the gold Mega Ball. The numbers on the Mega Ball range from 1 to 24. Match all six of those numbers and the jackpot prize is yours.

Tuesday's jackpot was listed as the 8th largest in Mega Millions history, and as you might imagine, ticket sales over the past few days have been brisk around the country. Since you've got your ticket, let's see how the drawing played out.

Based on data revealed to us by our sources at Mega Millions, we can confirm that no ticket sold for Tuesday's drawing earned the jackpot prize. There were multiple Match 5 Million winners. Those winning tickets were sold in Iowa, New York, and Arizona.
Based on the new "enhanced" Mega Millions format, the Match 5 Million prizes in Iowa and New York will actually be $3 million, and the Arizona win will be $5 million because of the multipliers that were assigned to those tickets at the time they were purchased.
Doing some quick math based on the winner's data released by the Louisiana Lottery early this morning, it looks as if some 4,500 tickets sold in the state were winners in last night's Mega Millions game. However, to say there were "big winners" might be leaning a little on the "enthusiastic" side. The top prize earned by a Louisiana ticket was just $2,000. Which is $2,000 more than most of us will see via any tariff dividend.

Tonight's Powerball lottery will draw for an annuitized estimated jackpot of $512 million. And Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery, best bet on the board if you ask me, is $3.66 million. A Powerball ticket costs $2; that's $3 if you want Power Play. The Lotto tickets are just a buck.
